Given that I don't think we're doing Coven next turn anyways (I believe the plan was to put Kitsune and Janna on the Feldrake quest with Malf on Basic Magic Theory) we can probably afford to do a proper four personals and get ahead on that musical rather than doing more Personal Attention.

Though we could alternatively try putting Kitsune on Coven instead, we can make a pretty good quest team even without her.

We are absolutely doing coven next turn.

It's finally achievable. It's the last thing we need to get the council. That's locked in. None of that "we failed once, let's give up" stuff.

We could still have a decent shot if we PA with Malf on Coven, and we could still do the Feldrake quest.

I believe a QM has said something like "you'll regret not getting the council sooner" awhile back.

Are people more excited with our team's counter to Kat's actions?

Or with evil Roddy utterly destroying Hego on an emotional level?

What's worse, is that he will most likely be devatsated by someone who he knows and likes, and potentially looks up to (in a different way than Mr Incredible), making the devastation more impactful.

Malf also has that bowl of sweetmeats or whatever trait we had right? will it proc?
Yes. All National Occult actions taken by Malf will have a -20 due to his cliché supervillain nature causing him to foil his own plans. So, instead of a hero with 38 Occult, we're really using one with 18. Which is why I'm hesitant to use Malf on any Occult actions at all

H...hey, maybe if they get into a fight and the -inator wears off he might end up believing he's the one who managed to turn Roddy back to the good side...no probably not.

Yes, but the trait is based off him not having a support network. Him successfully creating a coven could address part of that to reduce his malus at least partially. And even if it only goes down by 5, 23 occult is pretty good especially if we'll have two actions.

Plus I like the narrative implications of DEI's coven being controlled by occult-Doof.

And remember, who we send determines the results of the action. Malf who explicitly needs a support network on his char sheet doing the action could be how he affects the result of the action.

I don't think I've asked this before, but are there any characters you would want to see DQ cards of? I have a larger backlog of cards for random than I did before, but I'd like to hear your suggestions anyways. I may have missed some!

I probably won't reply to these suggestions to maintain the element of surprise, but I'd appreciate any you want to throw out there.

The Higher-Quantity-of-Bees-than-Beefore-Inator:

In hindsight, your bee pheromone plan wasn't the best. With bee populations dwindling there was no way your apidae army would have been big enough to takeover the Tri-State-Area! Therefore you will repopulate the bees and then... become their president? (You should get someone to keep track of your schemes, there are to many plates spinning these days.)

All national actions, personal actions, and quests will have more bees involved than they would otherwise. Whether this is beneficial, detrimental or neutral depends on the action and parties involved.

All factions will be aware of the large influx of bees in their planning phase.

Examples
Boons to:
  • Agriculture
  • Distribution of something that taste good with honey
  • Piling up on an enemy and using vibrations to cook them alive
Malus to:
  • People afraid/allergic to bees
  • Projects that require a sterile environment
  • Being absolutely quiet

Would Mr. Incredible and Frozone be possible?

...come to think of it, did we ever get a card for Syndrome before he got shredded by the dice?

Edit: oh wait, for random encounters. Uh... Ms. Beakly and Huey, Dewey, and Louie?

I never made a Syndrome card because I was of the mind that he would last a while, and you want to save King-tier cards for special occasions.

Needless to say, I was very wrong. Syndrome's curse of choking and becoming a non-entity in multiple Gridlocked games continues.

Syndrome has doof levels of self foiling minus any sort of wit charm or underdogness that keeps doof likeable. Even if his plan did kill a bunch of heros

I would very much like to see a Syndrome card. I mean, we do have a Shego card, what's the harm in having a Syndrome card? And maybe a Mr. Incredible/Frozone if that can be managed

Sir Lavabo has yet to appear in the quest, but he seems like he'd thematically fit, and he'd make for a good filler character in the cards that we probably wouldn't recruit (but maaaaybe), like the Defenders of Dynatron folks.

...he actually got a bit of a "choking and crashing to the ground before he can really take off" running gag going on in stuff you know of? I thought that was something unique to us

But yeah, I would really like a Syndrome card

In my Ohanaverse campaign, Syndrome was underrepresented because I wanted to take the plot in a dozen directions but only had time for a few of them. My plots involving the Kronos side of the setting had to be shelved in favor of other storylines. In Crossroads, one of the first things MiH did to stir the pot was have someone try to off Syndrome... and more or less succeed. He got better, but Syndrome has gained the reputation of never appearing or eating shit when he does.

...Really shows just how badly the Sands Gala went for him, considering his pretty good stats in Martial and Learnign, the two stats our plan would have challenged the most.

Since I had been going through the cards and making changes anyway, I went ahead and edited two older cards. Take a look!
