Ok, so is it just me, or do we have a fair bit more than 7 hero units with an occult score? We have:
1: Dr. Doof himself
2: Genghis Khan
3: Vanessa, even if her info hasn't been updated with that yet
4: Janna
5: Tobe
6: Kitsune
7: Tom
8: Malifishmirtz
9: Marco
10: Juniper

So, why did we just get this now? Do some of these not count for whatever reason?
Three of them aren't technically full time employees.

I'd assume Tom and Marco don't count for not being actual employees, and nor does Vanessa.

Why do I see Toffee taking a long look at our dance magic efforts, sighing with great reluctance and...

"I hate that I have to do this, but you've somehow forced my hand... I'll give you this much, Dr. Doofenshmirtz..."

He then removes his coat jacket, loosens his tie stylishly, and strikes a pose.

"It's not every day that one brings out Toffee, Seth's Former Lord General of Dance. My power has only grown since then. Be honored, and know that these moves will be the last you see!"

And then he just starts Breakdancing all over our shit.
tbf, did you saw teenager Toffe? He was Michael Jackson Monster Version, the Best Version!

Also, I'm glad that, for once, I saw a show that most people didn't...Granted, I don't remember anything besides the fact that I loved the intro theme and that if the Monkey Master appears here we have to recruit him, but still.

Maybe there's a difference between "occult hero" and "hero with an occult score".
After all the hate LOVE MUFFIN just got, I find it baffling that so many people seem to want to recruit a (former) member...
It's not that surprising. Even ignoring the people who still wanted to keep LOVEMUFFIN, Gomez doesn't seem to have been involved in this turn's fiasco and since he's a recent hire he doesn't have the same loyalty issues.
EDIT: Besides, as the sole member of LOVEMUFFIN who didn't attack our territory, the guy clearly deserves a promotion.

Yes, but we still had Russ before this turn, so even discounting Tom and Marco, we would have had 7 last turn. It has to be more than that.

Though I suppose I'm assuming you meant Tom, Marco, and Vanessa, nwish. Is that right?
Vanessa's as much an employee as Janna is. Janna is also an intern, despite her having created and subsequently filled the unofficial position of head sorceress. I think the third one is Doof himself, who doesn't behave like other hero units and is not an employee at all.

Juniper gains trait: Combos Chica: Can add Occult to Martial when doing dance battling, +15 on any rolls related to dancing.
Okay, not to seem like I'm trying to powergame or anything, but does the +15 to any dance related rolls apply to dance battling?
"It… is?"

"Well. It was L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N.'s lab. I've been part of the team for a few months, but I was out sick yesterday aaaannd… I don't think they'll be coming back. I'm just gonna hope Doofenshmirtz doesn't notice me."
Oh, so we hired Gomez! ... I guess? Apparently he was hiding inside Lovemuffin all along. Say, do we even need to recruit him? He was already part of a Heroball we owned, and we didn't fire Lovemuffin or anything, we arrested them, and they quit. Considering we haven't arrested Gomez and he apparently hasn't quit...

I'm voting for getting the rest of big hero six and making a heroball before going anywhere near gomez.
I'll be perfectly honest. There is no chance of us actually completing BH6 in any reasonable timeframe, especially now that we lost our best in for Fredzilla. Everyone else will be even harder to find.

For the former, I believe yes, and for the latter, it's true that we have Gomez, but just because he's an employee doesn't mean he's a hero unit. He's probably just part of the supporting staff which turns widgets from Doof's inventions into profitable products, with a side of occult dabbling.

A few problems with that:
  • The only hero ball we can do right now is a black ops team.
  • It will take awhile to recruit them all and we need a black ops team to have the option to take special martial actions sooner rather than later, as a black ops team is another mechanic we have yet to unlock like the council (the council is a higher priority but the black ops is a runner up)
  • If we have a black ops team made with BH6 members, we will be heavily restricted in what we can actually have them do because they are extremely heroic.
  • Making a black ops team first will free up 3 hero slots right away.
In conclusion: Let's first make a functional, morally neutral black ops team before we try to recruit all BH6 members into a heroball.

Depending on who exactly we want in the team, I expect it to take recruiting 1-2 more hero units. I'm thinking Genghis, Lizzy, maybe Juniper would be good for the black ops team from our current options. Assuming Gomez counts as a cape, he could be a good 4th to finish the team, especially if he counts as already having a working relationship with Juniper.

The only other options I could think of at the moment would be Technor/Dennis but they have solo stuff that the team could take away from. (Therapy, Donald & training arc)

I apologize. Let me rephrase.

Let's get gogo and fredzilla then make a heroball with the 3 members we can get plus whoever else we can put in.

[ ] Mesmerella - distraction

[ ] Naughty Kitty - steal stuff

[ ] Warren Peace - demolition

[ ] Motor Ed - get away

I'm not familiar enough with these characters to know how they would synergize.

Could we have a write in Diplomacy action for "I'm looking to assemble a team..." kind of thing? Throw a unit or two of currency at them to wait two months so Temujin can yell at them?

We need to do the hero unit stewardship as well fairly soon. We are 2 units from our max amount and I'd hate to lose the chance at random heros joining us unexpectedly.

Go Go, Wasabi, Fredzilla and Khan would work well. On the other hand, it would be a Heroball with low scores outside of Martial and Learning.

A Villainous Heroball with Technor, Juniper, Khan, and ... (Currently only Lizzie or Tobe would work, and we apparently want them for other stuff) would be much more well-rounded (and less morally finicky).

If being in the council prevents someone from heroballing we need Khan to be on it, so I wouldn't try that just yet.

The problem with putting Technor anywhere is that it loses us the power of therapy, which we desperately need. I'd much rather put Lizzie on it than Technor.
