[ ] The Garum-Farm-Inator

So, the reason here for the Garum Farminator is twofold. One, I'm not sure WHEN We get told which hero randomly got Dick Dastardly-ed. If it's before the vote that's.... Okay I guess? if it's AFTER the vote? That's... potentially rather bad. Garum has a 3 turn time limit, but it also gives us three turns worth of leeway to fix it, and depending on the DC of the action, we might be able to crit it for a cool bonus? Also, having a Garum Factory fits well with our Greco-roman Baking Soda Volcano. And Even if we decide to not devote income and an action to it, having a Supervillain Attack whose occurrence we can control and prepare for is actually a pretty nice opportunity. Especially storytelling wise.

Not gonna lie? I kinda wanna see a Garum-Themed Supervillain. The last supervillain attack we got gave us a lot of cool stuff (like Lizzie, and a new Volcano).

EDIT: Someone Asked MiH on Discord (MiH is C-Moon):

@C-Moon , just checking, do we get to know who the Deviled-Egg-Inator hits before the next turn actually starts?

C-MoonToday at 10:31 PM
Definitely not.

Anthrofictus. Fictional animal. I like it.

Anyway, our local Government Spook seems to be rather upset with his superiors! Why, one could almost say that his jimmies are ...

... Russ-led?

...I've had a long week, okay

I'll probably vote for the Garum-Farm-Inator since it's actually adding a new industry to our holdings.

It does have the drawback that we have to spend a action and income to move it but logically it's a new revenue source that we placed poorly.

It may not happen but I'd like to assume we would get a income for the new business, expand our food sources even more, and add more interesting flavor text about the lovely food experience that is Doofania.

Crickets, algae, ratwurst, dinosteaks, and garum. Delicious!

And after a quick google search it looks like garum isn't even that bad. Kinda like a milder fish sauce.

Rebuilding DoofOS has a DC of 150. Which is more than upgrading the firewalls.

I am hoping that the SHV laser will allow us to get some sort of bonus in coding. After that I do not really give a damn what we do with DoofOS.
Yes, but does fixing the firewalls repair the damage DoofOS already took, both in terms of coding and of reputation? Starting from scratch lets us wash our hands of all the accumulated bad rep DoofOS got with the Mark Beaks shenanigans and get a clean slate.

Actually, anthro- is a prefix usually associated with humans or human-like things.

Sounds like we just lost a decent amount of opinion with the government due to not keeping LOVEMUFFIN on a tight enough leash. It also sounds like LOVEMUFFIN may have misinterpreted our extremely vaguely worded order, rather than deliberately turned against us. Which actually makes sense, come to think of it. If they were just turning against us, I'd expect them not to have even rolled to do what we said.

To me, it sounds more like the government expected this, and this was just more proof. We should really reach out to them next turn- perhaps my biggest regret on my plan. As for LOVE MUFFIN, I'd believe that, except that combo'd with a 3 on Technor, so it seems more likely to be lashing out.

Perhaps its just me but that just seems like a waste of time and actions. We make a new one, and this happens again anyway.

Why? Cause theres living programs in DoofOS at the moment. So the fire walls would be let down yet again to let the good programs into a safe area where they wont be killed by cybugs or encoms reaches. We manage to save this and use our new nifty laser to get in there? We get access to what seems to be our buddy Tron and have cyber space as another of our strong areas.

I also really dont wanna risk leaving behind Tron and the potential consequences of his 'death'.

...so people think we put Lovemuffin up to whatever they did.
I mean, technically it isn't wrong, but that was OoC!

One more reason to finally get rid of these idiots...we simply can´t afford the Feds turning against us as well.

Yikes. If this is legitimately what the US government thinks of us we need to reach out to them soonish.

I knew I should have formulated my own plan and lobbied hard for it instead of just going with whoever else comes "close enough".

Because my plan would have featured offering Uncle Sam an olive branch - both because us seeing ourselves as "Supreme Ruler of the Tri-State-Area" does not mean that we have to be *hostile* towards the US and because Shego and David (our two closest allies on King-niveau) seem to be intent to getting the Feds involved with some of their dealings as well, meaning that any "Council of the Semi-Reasonable" would have to reserve an inofficial seat for D. C. as well in order to have at least some peace of mind.

You know, at this rate we might end up fully recruiting Russ due to Bad Bosses. Neat.

As a side note- I agree, we should reach out more to the gov and see about lowering our threahaahgahahahhahhahaha...

I'm sorry. I can't even finish that. We have Dinosaurs, Magic, Laser tech, robot army's, and hell of a lot more scary crap- plus an army of toons. Why wouldn't they consider us a threat?

Because the government considering us a threat is BAD.

They can still turn the public against us (therefore fabricating a "Cassus Belli" against us), them turning hostile will put a lot of strain on one of our most useful operatives and last but not least - D. C. being hostile to us weakens Earths defenses against the likes of Bill and Toffee, which is not something we want.

So yeah, next turn we should at least TRY to Reach out to the Feds.

The deranged dentist of danville is less likely to see it coming if he thinks Russ is working for him.

Tbf, by now Russ seems to be suffering a genuine crisis of loyalties - sure, him working for us might have started as a ploy of the Feds to keep us contained (something Doof actually was somewhat aware of and simple decided to ignore), but by now Russ cleary *enjoys* working for us, because unlike with the Feds, with us he can actually do some good instead of just covering up all the shit that´s happening.

So yeah, to him working with an "evil wannabe-autocrat" is starting to lok more and more appealing than working with Uncle Sam, because the former isn´t that bad once steered just a bit and actually gets shit done.

Again, ONE MORE REASON to finally getting rid of them - no matter what we do, they keep fucking up.

Don't look at me - I wanted to keep them on the space program. I have no idea why anyone thought "do mad science" would end in anything but tears.
Don´t do that, pal - getting all butthurt about not getting what you want doesn´t help anyone.

My opinion on both as well.

Definitely get rid of this one, iirc they're flat out insane/the bad type of evil.

I refuse to vote for getting rid of the Birthday Bandit, because a) we'd have no moral qualms accidentally hiring him and b) he seems like a fun guy, I'd love it if we rolled him in Mirage's Recruitment Gacha. Sure, his stats aren't the best, but his type of zany evil focused on one specific thing seems right up Doof's alley.

[ ] The Deviled-Egg-Inator

My choice here is simple: Saturday Morning Cartoon Villain is fun, smelly fish factory thing is not. One could net us an interlude about, like, Darth Goofy or Marauder Monogram or something, and the other would just be a couple lines of text about us demolishing/moving a factory.

On the mechanics side, I'd rather take a random -10 than have to lock one of our Stewardship actions up. We've got Phineas and Ferb for the next two turns, a DoofOS wall that we need Alan to keep smashing his head into, and a variety of other very good options (temporarily recruiting/collaborating with Mart Smarty and his greater than 40 Stewardship, for instance.

...Wait a second. Wait a second. Guys, we're collaborating with Olympia, which means that they send over a Hero to help us with an action. We also have Phineas and Ferb starting their summer break next turn. What if we use our collab with Olympia to boost Phineas and Ferb's Big Idea?

Couple good options that I can see here:

First, we've got Split/Second. Appeals to the boys because it's a cool race, appeals to Olympia with the possibility of profit. With the boy's Big Idea, it'd be a DC 100, which seems pretty doable for Doof+the boys+Olympia Hero. Let's see, we have what 24+38 for Doof and the boys, add an extra let's say 4 for the P+F's loyalty, gets us to 66, add 10 from XP, for a total of +76ish? With a decent Stewardship Hero from Olympia, it'd be practically a guaranteed crit.

Second, Start a Greevil Energy Conservation Campaign. P+F have done a social issue before (aglet) and Olympia would presumably jump at the chance to help us push a social issue, given they've got one of their own they're probably gonna call us in on (the SRA). DC would be 20 points higher, but still very doable depending on Olmypia Hero's Stewardship, and just not getting a sub-20 roll. And given that the normal results for this action slash Technor's Power Hungry trait in half, a crit might just wipe it out completely.

Naive Appeasers: Phineas and Ferb are undoubtedly brilliant, but they lack a certain degree of ruthlessness and finesse that's necessary when it comes to the business world. Any actions related to corporate dealings to which they are assigned have their DC increased by 30.

It was confirmed in Discord that this would apply to any collaboration attempt with Olympia.

[X] The Garum-Farm-Inator

Yeah, I know, mechanically the Deviled egg one is better, I'm mostly thinking that we should continue to improve our PR and switching the personality of one of our employees for 2 months won't look good specially to the Feds while the Garum is more of a mild inconvenience

[X] Megavolt
[X] Duff Killigan
[X] The Birthday Bandit

Honestly of this the only ones to clean for me were Megavolt (to big of supervillainy for us, we want affable evil not actually evil) and Duff (while golfing crimes could be fun it wouldn't really fit how we are going and him being marked as being wanted internationally doesn't help).

The Birthday Bandit is mostly to fill, Mezmerella or maybe Naughty Kitty would be better to remove but we might need someone with mind control knowledge in the future (Screnslaver and maybe this Theodore Riddle if he is from WITCH) at least to defend our self and a cat themed villain might help to finally uncover the ticking time bomb that is Kat in our midst.

It seems that rolling well on the clean PA auto removed the extremely silly ones like the Pack or Negaduck so we probably won't have to do this action for a looong time or ever again

While I kind of regret losing the opportunity to hire Bandit, he seems too specialized to be a good fit, and we can still enjoy his antics in the rival reports.

As for the Garum Farm... eh, it might be useful long term, while one of our heroic employees going EEEEEVIL is unlikely to cause anything but problems. Also, a garum-themed super villain attack sounds just as entertaining as one of our heroes going cartoon villain.
