[ ] Collaborate with Smarty Mart
DC 70
Martin Smarty, the CEO of major supermarket/wholesaler chain Smarty Mart and one of the richest non-ducks in the world, has offered to collaborate with you on a large scale upgrade to your Doofenshmirtz Evil Megamarts. In addition to splitting the profits with you, he was so enthused by his meeting with Coyote that he's offered to do a bit of consulting for you on other projects.
(Reward: small income increase, Marty Smarty will be available to perform a few stewardship actions for you.)

Martin Smarty rolls Stewardship 48.

We can have his help for a time limited period through a low difficulty Stewardship action.

This is something that we should really consider using.

I mean, most of the rolls succeeded, but I think the only real thing that effects us are the Cats. And maybe the Glooms, but they're nemesis's and we expected them. Most of these actions would have crit regardless so all in all this really isn't the worst that could have gone. And the RER seems to be affecting someone else so that's neat.

...also, apparently DoofOS hasn't been hacked after all this turn. Unless we're getting part 4.

It's-all-magic –inator(good). It was long time overdue, but you finally managed to gather your learning and occult branches for mostly civilized discussion on fundamental difference between magic and science . It was unexpectedly successful, even if mostly thanks to accidental clash between inator and observation spell. Effect: For one turn only all your heroes can use learning in place of occult and occult in place of learning.

It's-all-science–inator(bad). It seems that even among your employees not everyone is capable of understanding true brilliance of some of your recent inventions. Luckily, it not a thing, that some additional education can't overcome. Even more luckily that , as was pointed to you, mandatory 24-hours long seminar on modern science is not the brightest idea. You definitely would not want to overwork your subordinates without reason. Still with the help of your latest inator you not only managed to cram multiple hours of study in the bare minutes, but even added some basic magical lessons as bonus. Effect: For one turn only your learning heroes doubt their understanding of science, use their occult in place of learning. Meanwhile your occult heroes attempt to implement science theory to spells, use their learning in place of occult.

It's-all-inators-inator (chaotic neutral). Recent events (and some of your allies urging) prompted you to conduct series of lectures on proper inator handling. It was all relatively successful, at least until last, practical lesson. Effect: every hero unit not currently outside of Doofania rolls 1d2. On 1 they activate random inator .Also all hero units with learning higher than 30, have tinker with inator personal available. On this turn one tinker with inator personal disables up to one activated inator of your choice.

[ ] Sell Vending Machines
DC 80

Critical Success!

Many of your employees were pleasantly surprised when the aging, decrepit vending machines holding little more than stale vanilla cookies and old gum were replaced with sleek, modern chrome ones bearing a wide variety of snacks. You vaguely remembered Mirage mentioning something about this months ago, but given that you're mentally averse to most things involving vending machines you choose not to care.
Welp, the vending machine uprising is real, folks. We'll be proven right, AND THEN THEY WILL ALL RUE THE DAY THEY DOUBTED DOCTOR HEINZ DOOFENSHMIRTZ!!

Also, loved the Pokémon references.

and we have an army in our area which we still haven't fucking noticed.

Is this 2020 in setting? Because it feels like 2020 in setting.
The huntsclan stoking the fires of racial hatred is really not helping the feeling. By the "army in our area" you mean Kat?
Huntsclan evil, kidnapping and discrimination bad, yadda yadda, but are we sure the Huntsclan aren't secretly Shonen Protagonists in disguise?
What do these wannabe nazis have in common with shonen protagonists? I feel a reference is going over my head here.

I mean, this is the verse where the villains won, so as far as anyone knows his public persona is 100% legit!

I mean, again, see above. Also keep in mind that creating Roboto likely means that the real Ernesto remains longer in the afterlife given that we are making it so more people remember him. Which given this is the verse where the villains won, he is still immensely popular in both life and the afterlife.

I mean, we can entirely make it so he dedicates one of his first big concerts to his good friend, who wrote all his early songs, but who he's sad to say was never really remembered.

And then, since we based it on his public persona who supposedly was a good songwriter, have him sing a song in honor of the man.

Well...apart from the Huntsclan and Kat, things went acceptably. The RER and Inator rolls were made, so I'm...fairly certain the interludes are next. On a bright side though, I think we've discovered a potential major weakness of the Huntsclan: action economy. Assuming that MiH didn't decide to simply cut down on all the non-important actions, it appears that the Huntsclan can only do the equivalent of one National Action per turn. That could be helpful in countering them.

I keep bringing up making a space empire, and at this point it might be needed. And with Juumbas ship, along with the advancements Xanatos and co made, it should be possible.

Of course of course Everyone else has all of their projects succeed and we suffer the most failures.

and the even roll is turbo crap, and our inator is also crap.

and we have an army in our area which we still haven't fucking noticed.

Enemies actually got something like 40% successes according to QMs. We just don't normally see failed rolls because they're not as obvious.

Meanwhile we got something like 66% successes.

for people who don't watch the thread all the time we don't know that all we see is all of the critical successes. it's kind of frustrating to only see the best results of everyone else.

Alright, so three things I definitely think we should do next turn are Dinosaur Park, Improve DoofOS Security, and Large Herbivore Domestication. We can have Phineas and Ferb work on SPLIT/SECOND when they're available since it has a (slightly) lower DC than Dinosaur Entertainment but gives out a slightly lower publicity boost, while Dinosaur Entertainment also gets out our name for our genetics work. Alan's getting another chance because unless the upcoming Error update completely wipes the OS, it's still our highest single source of income and I want to at the least maintain it. Finally, Herbivore Domestication apparently has a synergy bonus with the dino park. Those ought to put our finances firmly back into the black, especially if we follow up on any other actions that increase our income.

Adding to the pile of Robo-doppleganger candidates: Marco "I'm Cazador" Diaz.

We could hire out the services of these mysterious robotic mercenaries that have a reputation for being in multiple places almost simultaenously with impunity, providing us some income. Also, the Cazador Units would naturally keep their eyes peeled for any clues on Star while in assignments, increasing our chances of finding Star.

Edit: this straight-out skips any attempts of making the doppelganger a Hero-unit and assumes a "mass-production" approach.

Hang on. Hold up. Wait a second.

Guys. Guys. I've just thought of the ultimate potential robot doppleganger.

Norm.

"But isn't he already a robot?" Yes! That's the genius part! It'll be completely indistinguishable from the original!

Only a few of the people who succeeded are in direct competition with Doof. The rest of the successes and failures aren't even things to freak out about because they advance subplots or only influence factions who aren't Doof.

You did, in fact, get more out of this situation started by Doof's inators than many other groups. Try to keep that in mind rather than fret about how the dice fell.

Random thought

I'm not sure if it would be a good idea, but would it be possible to have a diplo action or something next turn to put support behind Xanatos's pro gargoyle stance a la how we could the SRA?

Edit: Although I guess it could fall under a collab action

I certainly wouldn't mind. It'd be a good way to stick it to the Huntsclan. Having said that, though, we ARE a super villain. It might be a good idea to see what we can find out about the Huntsclan by having our Intrigue guys look for them and/or their allies.

What do these wannabe nazis have in common with shonen protagonists? I feel a reference is going over my head here.
The Huntsmaster got two Nat 100s in the Demona event, and now they've gotten another Nat 100 on recruitment/proaganda, presumably building off of their Nat 100s in visibly fighting monsters and the Huntsmaster determinatoring through Demona's mind control. The joke was that they've gotten super lucky.

Would anyone opposed to letting Janus handle the Large Herbivore Domestication action next turn? Sure, he doesn't have quit the same no us as Jumba, but I think Janus might appreciate being allowed to do some science in one of his areas of interest.

[ ] Infiltrate Doofania
DC 160
86+25+23+50 (???)=204

There sure are a lot of cats walking the streets of Doofania lately. Like, an awful lot. Annoyingly, they don't even seem to have brought down the mouse population! What gives?!
So... is this the Phantom?

I find the idea of him getting annoyed and all possessive about all these cats messing with his nemesis to be hilarious.
I think we should stop activating inators... they've mostly been bad for us, and any good we got out of them was minor. If we do insist on activating inators every turn, then we should also take the tinkering action to ensure we can (potentially) mitigate bad inators.
I get what you're saying, but Doof using inators even though they almost always ultimately backfire is such an integral part of his character that I don't really care to stop - I like to think of it as his way of indirectly honoring Perry the Platypus.
