You could lean on public domain superheroes for inspiration.
Really? Oh I have an idea then:

This here is the American Crusader. We won't go over his origin since it's irrelevant here, but he's a basic flying brick with added patriotism and fighting Nazis. He's powerful, will likely have good PR with the patriotism thing, and has a snazzy "Defender of Democracy" title.

And Elastigirl is maybe alive. Everyone else must be assumed to have left people in the same position as the Parr family, unless we can confirm that they didn't.
Yeah, and peoplw who are alive might object to a company with "Evil" in the name using their image. The people Edna Mode list as "killed by capes" would probably also be safe to use as a Homage, since it's been decades at this point, but it might be better to lean into Public Domain superheroes, yeah.

Or, dig into Incredibles lore, since it has some of that.

...Given that Doof announced himself as the ruler of the Tristate area, I think some people will call BS if we try pushing this.
More importantly than if people call BS on it or not...

It doesn't fit with our branding!

Let's come up with something more fitting.

Edit: what if we collab'd with Xanatos to create team of heroes using the doppelganger bots so we basically have a justice league style team that people look up to under our control?

Which is better than someone objecting to their dead spouse's image being used by a company with "Evil" in its name. I mean, neither is ideal and I'd prefer if we just not, but if we have to pick one living looks like the better choice to me.

We might get more appreciation for making a doppelganger of a hero that is fictional in-universe.

We did buy Disney so we own all the rights to everything ever forever.

Or we could just make a doppelganger by throwing a bunch of heroic content together into some kind of amalgamation, not trying to pretend to be any one person in particular.

Hugo Danner: Quite possibly the first superhero... Ever! Hugo possesses superhuman strength, speed, durability, and a healing factor. His only weakness seems to be lightning.

Green lama: Jethro Dumont has two alter egos, the crime fighting superhero Green Lama and the Buddhist priest Dr. Pali. Jethro Dumont being a very rich resident of New York City decided to go to Tibet for ten years to study to become a Lama (Buddhist guru). It was in Tibet where he learned many mystical and magical secrets, which he used in conjunction with his scientific knowledge of how to use radioactive salts in his favor. He used these powers, along with his strong Buddhist beliefs, to fight crime and help the Superpowers team in WWII.

Moon Girl: Wonder Woman + Sailor Moon.

Gravestone: Little is known about the mysterious Gravestone other than that he appears to be hundreds, possibly thousands, of years old. He comes and goes at will, favoring the cloaking shelter of night and shadows

Black Fury: Chemist with super strenght and speed powers. Aparently very popular. Kickass costume.

Btw, Arrow, is a public domain character. Probably know Russ.

There were a few of the Incredibles Heroes that died in the 60's as options (the ones Edna listed in her "no capes" rant), but I thought it was probably better of leaving those alone, so some Public Domain names:

- The Red Rube, a shirtless Captain Marvel expy (down to secretly being a teenager).
- Daredevil, who has the name of the eponymous Marvel hero, the aesthetics of Deathstroke, and the Backstory of Batman. Also, some problematic aborigines stuff;
- the Buttefly, whose page describes her as "a cabaret singer by night, a hero by even later night";

Oh, hey. I found one from Incredibles: Nimble Jack. He was a wartime veteran hero, the teacher of Mister Incredible back on Bob's rookie days. Real old guard, respectable, plus America loves veterans. No mention of family, so he might have left kids or grandkids, but depicting him as he was in his prime might be taken as the loving homage it is intended as rather than an insult to his memory?

Actually yes, we own Disney so we can spend money and make films that they probably did not release in this universe due to economic crisis and such. Frozen and Malificienta with their more or less villain protagonists is right up our valley. Other movies can be adjusted too. Then, unless QM says otherwise, we have legit ability to obtain character from DVV classic. Maybe don't even need to build robobody, since movie characters digital personas can be a thing too ( Disney princess group from Ralf 2 movie).

IIRC In canon his plan was to build the freeway and get the public transport system shutdown in order to sell cars. In this quest he has an effective monopoly on roadworks construction and maintenance in the US.

No, his plan in canon was... basically how people make money on highways in America now.

The literal entire joke about his plan is that it seems completely absurd in universe... and is exactly what happened in our world.

I would love it if we made a doppelganger inspired or in honor of Stratogale. Stratogale was a teenage superhero who was friends with Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl - and was close enough to be invited and attend Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl's wedding - and volunteered at a zoo bird hatchery in her secret identity. She died after pulling a commercial jet from a steep dive due to a suit malfunction, and was one of the superheroes mentioned in Edna Mode's "No Capes" bit.

Stratogale was said to "keep her head in the clouds" in the NSA file on her, but from what we know of her she seems to have loved helping other people and to have been a hard worker - juggling school life, superhero life, and volunteer life. How successful she was at juggling all three will forever remain a mystery, but she is a great role model.

TLDR: Stratogale is a great role model, and I'd vote for a doppelganger inspired or in honor of her.

I understand that you'd want to do this as a respectful tribute but theres one thing to consider. Optics.

Givens Doof's everything I highly suspect this would not really appear nearly as respectful or tasteful as you intended to people in universe.

Relevant Diplomacy, and surprisingly decent Intrigue/Martial (FBI Agent, remember?).
Don't forget Sergeant and 1st to 8th degree blackbelt and karate instructor

-[ ] Bruce Leet

Very High Martial thanks to being now a robot, with a high chance of having a decent Occult, or at least the opportunity of learning. Robo Magic Martial Artist anyone?
In 73% we dont have the magic or A.I. chops to make a spellcasting robot, but I'd love to be proven wrong

I thought this was settled a while ago with making a Wendytron to get boosted rolls and a willing test subject and then a Mr. Rogersbot?

We need someone to complete the Black Ops. So far we have:

Khan (As soon as he get rid of the -30),
GoGo
Third not decided member (Probably Kitsune)

The King would made a very good job, with his combination of Diplomacy, Martial, and Intrigue.

I support the Elvis bot plan.

Good thing we had Jumba work on genetics last turn so we can have him make the Elvis bot extra destructive.

Doppelganger bots aren't necessarily going to be hero units. I don't think grabbing whichever celebrity we decide we like most is going to cut it.
