Only one real way to answer that question! Put Marco to sleep, stuff him in a sack, and hightail it back to Danivlle on the triple. No way you're letting him run away from you again.

[ ] Let's get Dangerous, but the "Danger" has Quotation Marks around It
Marco's alive! And in celebrating range! And you're at a pizza place! And it's Christmas! You need a party, and that means inviting as many people as possible. Call up the Doofmeister and fake some kind of, eh, invasion of New York or something. Trick him into sending over some more party guests.

Okay, so people are watching, and if word gets out that you have "actual human emotions" your reputation's shot. On the other hand, if you don't do this now, you're gonna be competing for real estate with Tom later, so maybe it's better to go ahead and make your move?
Okay guys, we've got a hard decision here. On one hand, we could guarantee we recruit him with hypnotism, but that's likely to cause a bit of a loyalty malus from Marco. Furthermore, it could make him not be willing to work with Janna in the future unless under extreme conditions. Still, maybe finding Star down the line would be enough to overcome both conditions?

On the second option, we can try to bribe Marco in to staying. On the other hand, do we really want to jeopardize JannaQuest's excellent relations with Doof after everything he's doing to help? It'd still be pretty IC for Janna, so maybe it wouldn't harm all that much though.

Finally, we could just go the option of giving Janna anything she wants, as per the norm. This would likely push her loyalty gain from finding Marco (and later Star) up to a full 100. On the other hand, Marco is still soulbonded to Star. Do you really want to cause that drama? Furthermore, Marco is a player :V

What do you guys think we should vote?

I am aware this isn't a real update. I'm just playing along :p

Crisis: Twelfth Night - Definitely a Real Doofquest Update, You Guys

Slowly, Janna's face does something like smiling. "...so do mine."

There will be a six hour moratorium on voting.

Should be Lizzy speaking there, not Janna.

Okay, so...I like Janna. I really do. She's the thread's favorite of all time, her dice are a godsend and she gets shit done. Letting her kiss Marco would be a natural choice.

Buuuut on the other hand, I support Tomco way more. :p

So I vote for partying up in NYC! DoofQuest will understand. As long as they get Marco out of this, they'd probably let Janna get away with literal murder.

I'll go with this. It seems pretty IC and I think there could be more benefits from entering this way than from just sneaking in.

Okay, I've thought hard and heavy on this. This vote is a HUGE part towards the culmination of Janna's character arc. One mistake here and it could all be for naught, setting us back months. Therefore, I simply must choose...

[JK] Kiss Him, You Fool

Sorry Blue, but Janna gets what Janna wants :p

do it for the laughs. not like Marco isn't aware Janna only makes advances on him just to troll him

In an actually serious vote now, I think I'll go with magic. This is legitimately an important vote, and I don't really care about the idea of "autonomy" when it comes to just mindcontrolling some mob members to let them go by without fighting. I am really tempted to do talk because it would be funny, but I also don't want to jeopardize finding Marco by missing him or scaring him away before (or after) he gets here.

My opinion what would be best from a "plausible deniability" standpoint, should things backfire

Mr. Rodgers (Compiler's Favorite)
Source Material: Mr. Rodger's Neighborhood
King class Diplomacy and a truly delightful personality, a necessity in these dark times.
Pros: Diplomacy Stat = YES. A champion of equality in all its forms.
Cons: Hego's apprehension towards EEEVVVIIILLL but worse. Martial of NO.

...I really want a "Mr. Bogers (pronounced like "Bot-gers") to contrast Evelyns Sinatron

My idea of his stats:

Martial: REALLY Bad (single-digits - the REAL Mr. Rogers was a pacifist man through and through and not the "covert sniper/Sharpshooter SEAL operative" memes like to portray him as...the only thing a Bot of him would have going for him would be bot-derived resilience)

Diplomacy: REALLY Good (honestly, if Sinatron has a high 30s, a bot of friggin Mr. Rogers shoukd have mid-40s-to-low-50s)

Stewardship: Pretty Good (Mr. Botgers would have a high-class AI to help him as well as the fact that the real human always managed to answer ALL his fan-mail, no matter how busy...so mid 20s-to-mid-30s?)

Intrigue: REALLY Bad (single digits - Mr. Rogers didn´t have single duplicitous bone in his body and always spoke thruthfully to his audience.)

Learning: Okay (He was a Presbyterian minister in RL, so he´s got to have at least some brainpower to his name - so low 20s maybe?)

Occult: defaulting to 0 for the moment

Additionally, I´d say that Mr. Botgers should have a souped-up version of Vanessas and Max´ "In-Crowd" trait titles "My little neighbours", that gives him +Diplo/Stewardship/Learning when dealing with non-adults.

EDIT:

Oh, and any sweaters worn by our bot MUST be red and hand-knit by a mother...not budging on that one

[x] Sneak In

Let's save our mojo for when things get dicey. There's no reason to use magic when you can just trick your way in

Yeah. The smartest choice here if that's what you are worried about is to go straight for occult. It's what we have the highest modifier on and thus least likely to fail. It also means we can possibly get more info from these people by asking questions, whereas the group would be going blind sneaking in.

Eh, if we sneak in and do martial, we're called metahumans.

If we use magic and fail that, then follow it up with magic martial, then we're obviously magic.

Not really. I think the giant staff and the fact that Janna can do (through Feldrake) a wide variety of things far beyond the capabilities of any known superhuman that isn't a baby (since Jack-Jack's variety is unknown to the public) would give it away regardless of the context. Lizzy is a known supervillain and Tom could pass as a rather peculiar superhuman if he doesn't do his demonic chant stuff, but Janna absolutely wouldn't pass as one.

Leave Marco for Tom. Besides I'm pretty sure Janna can do better.

Also, get evil sorceress on.
