OK, with all these Occult shenanigans going on, all in favor of finally moving that freaking castle next turn?

Good luck getting the book out of Janna(and Feldrake)'s grasp.

Does the three eye demon from Star vs Evil live in Hell? We might be able to trace Satan's energy from the book and open a gateway to literal Hell with our dimension inator once we built it.
Nope. He lives in the Underworld beneath Mewni.

We certainly got a lot from that quest. I'm glad we did it.

That being said I'm so glad it's over.

The last plan results we got was 15 days ago.

We've only done the quest and we have at least 6 interludes to get through (really looking forward to these, they look interesting).

We still have rival reports and any additional interludes that result from that.

This has been a loooooooong turn.

"I would have preferred a different punchline." Russ grumbles. "But well done."
HE DID IT BOYS, HE DID THE THING!
Why if I had a nickel for every time a major social event I attended turned into a fight to the death, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but still, weird that it happens twice, right?"
It is weird, but hey, at least you aren't being doomed by a puppet.

I do want the book a little bit, but more than that, I don't think we can convince janna to give it back.
From an alcove, another figure skulked. This one popped open a small device, and Molly spoke in her angry, synthetic tones.

"Yes. He was here. That item you were worried about? He bought it." Molly paused a moment. "And he had a wizard with him. Strong. She called herself…"

"Lord Feldrake."
Oh dear, I don't know who this is, could be toffee, could be someone else but at least the name wasn't Janna.
Janna has made a favorable first impression on Maxim Horvath! He suggested that he might be willing to part with an Encantus at a future date, but not for money!
Thats useful
Doof's Intrigue has increased by 3! Janna's Intrigue has increased by 2! Janna's Occult has increased by 3!
Agent Russ' Occult score revealed to be 15! Agent Russ is not a spell slinger, but he has spent decades dealing with them.
STATS!! and russ's occult score!
Networking in public among prominent movers and shakers has let people see you for what you truly are. Most people in the know now think that you're a moron, but one who gets things done regardless, and the people you surround yourself with are clearly formidable. 'Diseased Lunatic of Danville' now only provides an increase of 7 to any Intrigue actions made against DEI.
A shame, but SV was never capable of staying a diseased lunatic forever
The Marcnificent Few.
salivates
Sa-weet! Shame about the Diseased Lunatic, but we've opened so many diplomatic channels and got some stat boosts! I also want to know about Max's Tooned Out trait, it doesn't say anything about that here. Do we have to talk to Max about it?
Max has used that successfully in combat all of Once, the student still has much to learn.

I feel like the veil needs to come down.

But it needs to be something that the supernatural community actively participates in, and isn't sprung on them out of nowhere.

However it may be that whatever was sped up would do it anyway and we can make things less bad by hitting the button now.

Yeah, it's a book bound in human leather and written in blood. Not really something in Doof's wheelhouse of Petty Evil, he'd probably say that he's evil but that book is just unsanitary. Who knows what type old-timey diseases you could catch from that, yuck!

That said, if you guys reallt want the book, oh well.

Janna isn't having any of this. With a violet flash from Feldrake's eyes, the earth begins to rumble and crack. Massive gorges open up in the earth, unleashing the noxious stench of brimstone. Dozens of fowl, skeletal monsters claw their way from below, their eye sockets alight with violet flame as they howl like the restless dead they are!

"Go, my ancestors! Tear them to shreds in the name of Lord Feldrake!" the staff intones ominously, or perhaps excitedly depending on your perspective. "Or tear them to shreds in the name of Janna. You haven't had a fearsome public debut yet, do you want this to be yours?"

Intrigue Check: Keep anyone from noticing Janna
DC 100/160 (anyone who hasn't met her yet/anyone who has met her) needed: 85+14+38+10+5+7=159
Success/Bare Failure

"Nah. Still laying low until I can pull off something dramatic."

"Fair enough. SHRED THEM IN THE NAME OF ALL THAT IS LORD FELDRAKE! BWA HA HA HA HA!"

Thankfully Janna was insightful enough to wear a hood today, and she doesn't feel the need to be braggadocious. With a bit of interference running from Agent Russ, it seems like the only one who's noticed the identity of this impressive spellcaster is Xanatos' manservant, who Russ catches looking out of the corner of his eye. Everyone else is unlikely to remember anything but 'Lord Feldrake'.

I guess that Intrigue check worked out in the way. Sorta. Thank you for being unreliable narrator, Molly. At least the only person from an auction that would know for sure that Janna is not that Lord Felldrake is Magica. I gotta say, that would definitely make whoever is Molly's employer confused in wrong direction, or maybe even spooked. Another thing would be to worry if someone decides that it would be good to investigate Felldrake's temples, but hey, they don't have our map!

Full audacity! If there's one thing Doofenshmirtz isn't, it's subtle.

I would give so much to give magic back to the world, so in the end I have to vote with my heart. We are *Not* better for Magic being gone.

I simply think that we can afford to take a bit more time to work on the whole magic is real thing. If nothing else, we have enough on our plate that adding a high priority thing like get public ready for magic asap might be a bit too much to handle.

Agreeing to keep things quiet doesn't mean you're outright swearing to never consider the masquerade again, just that 'fixing it' is not going to involve ripping it down any time soon... or doing anything foolish like spellcasting in public, offering potions that are marketed as potions, or saying "Hey! Magic is real, and you need to listen to me!"
Just wanted to repost the QM's recent words for those that missed them. We can work on improving things while agreeing to keep magic quiet.
