Wow it's neck to neck.

@KidFromPallet has the right track on how much money Drake/Horvarth has to blow. If they're gunning for one item specifically, but Drake wanted to spend some money on a Round 2 item, that means they have 11 points minimum, maybe 13 or 14 at best. I seem to remember an interlude where it says that Horvarth was running out of funds and had to turn to Demona for help...

For the record, that would be my omake which is very definitely of the non canon variety.

I must have missed it can you link me?

Sure. Among other things, I wrote something from the perspective of Horvath operating in a post-movie status quo, while the auction seems to show him at mid-movie condition. I also had him as being mostly broke (not the case in actual quest) and seeking an alliance with Demona (likely not the case, either).

Hello! New guy here. Found this quest some days ago and since then I devoured it! I'm liking it a lot and is hitting me in the nostalgia just right.

About the ongoing vote, I prefer the cookbook over the scroll, mostly because we seem to have a 'theme' around selling food to people. The Sandwich should already help us there if we can reproduce it, and now the cookbook should have some recipes that help us even more on the department too.

The knowledge plan is a bit too expensive for my taste but I'll be going for it.

Whoopsie! Right, that makes sense. I edited my post.

I wonder if we can steal/burgle items that we want but don't get?

That'd be pretty par for the course of any auction in cartoons/anime.
Attempting it at the auctions will probably create problems with security and whoever runs the bazaar.
Tracking down and stealing from the other buyers afterwards could be possible but we would probably spend our intrigue actions on other things instead.

There is also the whole thing about our Intrigue being overall bad, with our top asset in that field being an US gov loaner who would probably object to such things, and that Xanatos would probably take exception to actions that may damage his reputation, since he is doing us a favour here. And his Intrigue is top of the game stuff.

So, if against all odds we get everything on Plan Acquire Knowledge, let's spend the rest of our 12 points on the Encantus.

Yeah, let´s not attempt and most like bungle stealing items from those who won them while we are in the influence sphere of an *Extremly intelligent guy* who atm still kinda likes us and would take at least get annoyed at us betraying his goodwill by raising shit at an event he invited us to.

Doing that would be both almost suicidally stupid and simply bad form.

yeah, attempting to steal shit in Xanato's territory is extremely foolhardy and will get us nothing. What we do is figure out where the targets live, figure out if they're bad-guy enough to warrant Robin-Hooding, and then rob them blind sometime after the auction, if we're going to steal at all.(which i think we shouldn't. We're Doofenshmirtz EVIL Inc., not Doofenshmirtz Bandit Inc.) Syndrome was a special case in terms of stealing being genuinely the morally right thing to do.

Give 12 pts cant be spilt, there would be no reason to not spend all 12 on whichever item we favor most.
Thanks, edited.

Yeah, my b.

For some reason I construed talismans as part of the set we already have one of.

That's what I get for checking in middle of night.
That seems to be the implication, but I haven't seen much evidence one way or another short of meta-based reasoning.

Welcome aboard! We here at the DEI family are happy to welcome in another member. Here are some important things to remember!
-DEI is a family corporation. We value the welfare and happiness of our employees, who are all important to us. And by important, I mean Heroes, heh. But seriously, we like keeping them happy. We're evil with standards!
-TECHNOR, THE MECHANICAL MAN is our go-to (and only) practitioner in therapy and psychoanalysis. Naturally, that means we have him psychoanalyze someone every turn. Even Doof! Oh, what's that? You want to use him for another, non-therapy action? Pfffft, pull the other leg.
-Some actions are gag options, with stupidly high DCs or obvious bait. Such as buying Bethesda, or fixing Bueno Nacho.
-Pony Head is dead. So are the 7D.

Have fun!
