Brockton's Celestial Forge (Worm/Jumpchain)

As we remember, when Jozef became a child of Hephaestus he did a genetic test on himself to see how that affected him, to discover that he still had his old genes plus extra ones. Lets go on ahead and assume the same is true for the shapeshifting gene he just got as well.

I was wondering how all this would be changed by the Divine Physique perk, a freebie from the Lord of Light jump. According to the lore of Lord of Light, this would be an altogether new body, not the one he was born into at all. In his case, as a Demigod, a "perfect" body. Whether perfect from Jozef's point of view or from the point of view of the Lords of Karma from the Lord of Light world is another question. Since the Lord of Light setting has fashioned themselves into a simulation of the Indian/Hindu culture, there might be a chance the new body would be of a different ethnic appearance. It might not be physically related to his birth family at all anymore. By design, though, the body would be the perfect vehicle for any powers he would have, I'm assuming this would apply to all powers not just the ones from this jump.

I guess one thing that he needs to patch in his toolkit, seeing as he fairly clearly doesn't have it already from e.g. Master Craftsmen is anti-regen - I'm a little suprised in retrospect that his kit doesn't include it - though I suppose that there's probably some Arcane Craft contrivance that he could create that decreases regen on the same principles as the productivity modification, and anti-regen is something eminently possible to do with abstract magical elementalism or sophisticated chi control techniques.
An important thing to think about is, would Joe even want something like that to exist, let alone the one he would make.
Joe doesn't have a true education in magic, so curse wounds aren't something he can directly make. Indirect curse wounds however are pure nightmare fuel.
Joe could make something like his rune carved scalpel, but that would cause the cursed wounds to be masses of rotted, cancerous, malformed scar tissue, and a Dragon Pulse version is probably something like a corruption of one's very vital essence, a cancer of the soul.

Joe's version of those weapons would be worse, Master Crafted, Fey-touched, and infused with divine power.

I just realized something. With the free perk he got with Bloody Roar that lets his clothes stretch and shrink with him...we are now forever damned from ever seeing Joe going full Onegai Muscle.

For those who don't know what that is....

What a sad day it is.

Portrait of Fleet (deadlyham)
As the official/only Brockton's Celestial Forge Fan Artist, I present to you a portrait of Fleet. Fleet has added things to his avatar as he acquires more vehicles. He started off as a race car driver avatar and added a jet pilots helmet (I added the air mask thing). He's also an admiral at this point, so I gave him an admiral navy hat and shoulder epaulets. Launching the motoroid and Lung into outer space makes Fleet an astronaut too, so he gets an astronaut back pack. For some reason, my head canon includes a train so Fleet has an engineer's overalls and oily gloves.

I can't tell if this is sarcastic or not. Either way, you are crying. From sadness or happiness. :V

I was looking at some perks & their source docs and an idea occurred to me. I think I found a way for Joe to become a Force Sensitive (from Star Wars).

Here's my logic.

Lord once commented about how Joe getting a Gundam Perk made it so that Joe is "from" the Gundam universe, meaning that Joe can gain the same abilities as the residents of the Gundam universe if he goes into space and stays there long enough.

If this applies the same way to every perk then it should be possible for Joe to become a Force Sensitive from Star Wars.

The two perks that could possibly make my idea happen are Mechanical Genuis from "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" and Synchronicity Event from "F.E.A.R.".

The first perk, Mechanical Genuis, would make it so that Joe is "from" the Star Wars Universe, giving Joe the potential to interact with the Force, even if he doesn't possess a strong enough connection to the Force to sense it or use it.

The second perk, Synchronicity Event, is stated to give a "decent" boost to all psionic abilities, even psionic powers from other settings. This would "strengthen" Joe's connection to the Force, making him a Force Sensitive with the ability to sense & use the Force.

I admittedly don't know if being a Force Sensitive would count as a Psionic ability or a Magic ability, but Lord could decide to make it a Psionic ability. I also don't recall if Lord stated that he considered Psionic abilities to be different from Magic abilities.

However, it is my belief that if Joe gets these two perks then he should become a Force Sensitive.

So, what do you guys think?

We may see it when he gets a control power, like the dial one!!
EDIT: Garment may not be happy...

Quick question that is off topic.

What is with the Red Letter like button?
No idea what it means, and I didn't notice when it showed up.
I was too busy rereading this story.

It would work from a thematic standpoint as the rules agree to it, but from a Star Wars lore perspective it won't. The Force in Star Wars is an energy field which permeates the Galaxy as the entire galaxy is bound by the Cosmic Force. Outside the Galaxy one can only access the Living Force generated by individual lifeforms. Since there is no Cosmic Force in the Milky Way the Force would only allow him to perform minor feats through his own energy.

I'm honestly not sure if they'd react worse to a tinker that can make FTL capable craft or to a tinker that can make an annihilator effect capable of killing Lung on demand?
They wouldn't think it would be on demand, they would put limits on it, like the destruction of his power armor, which he has unlimited access to those, they are likely to try undersell him as not to cause panic or look incompetent.

Undersell him.

God, there's no way people are going to be able to undersell him. So many eyewitnesses along with a fight streamed to the world.

The PRT can try but it is a fool's errand at best. They'll still try of course but it won't last.
