@LordRoustabout : I don't normally like paging someone directly, but I just noticed that the Lord of Light perks were not from some obscure video game, but from a book that is much beloved by me. Rather than subject yourself to some painful Anime or play a time consuming game...why not read a relaxing Sci Fi/Fantasy classic...it shouldn't take too long, and unlike some of his more famous works, doesn't have a ton of sequels to worry about... And, a quick google will find you a pdf of it you can download for free..

A transistor? from my noob knowledge is a way to signal the towers/army base/etc on the ground and other aircraft that your aircraft is there. They also give important information like how height (or low) you are. Because a lot of stuff that move there are moving really fast, have a lot of mass (when compare to a car/bus) and will not a crash well. Those poor air control probable are suffering hell from these decades of capes flying.

The fact that the order came just in time to stop them from cracking the switch combined with the PRTs specific restrictions on working with Apeiron. It's really suspicious. I now suspect outside influence. March or Cauldron, maybe. Leaning towards Cauldron since I don't think march knows that Dragon has to obey orders like that.
I know it's a meme to suspect Contessa influence in literally everything, but this specific set of circumstances is really really suspicious now that I re-read it.

You read the time he finally started upgrading his fiat backed nueral implant and recieved a call from aisha about nothing important even though his workshop is precog and everything proof at just the right time to keep him from becoming magnitudes better at data processing and get stuck with lowest bidder grunt level implant with the only change being the replacement of silicon with something else

I nearly pulled my hair out, the MC has a brain implant that he utilizes constantly to interface with all of his shit and its still basic at every level but he'll spend forever freaking out about combat boots or his uniform for another upgrade but not his fucking implant

(with his crippling fear of simurgh you think he'd want something better than just lowesr bidder iff and coms package to his brain)

He's waiting for the next perk before he gets the implant upgraded further, either that or shaterbird getting taken out.

Nah, he had to really psych himself up to perform brain surgery on himself because it can't be removed and he lost his nerve after that call and just did the minimum necessary to not have his head explode because of shatterbird

He has a wireless access point to his mind that is still base tech in a world of tinkers and giant precog death angel that has a hard-on for mentally fucking tinkers

I believe Lord indicated any real updates to the implant are waiting on either M/E or Cybertium. The alter is what Joe is waiting for, but the former would work as well. -someone on the discord server.
 
Shower Thought: Would being in The Madness Place be a good mindset for utilizing Spiral Power pre-character development for Joe. Doing the impossible is basically what Sparks are all about, albeit with a more intellectual bent than that of a hot blooded anime protagonist.

Of course, I imagine such a compounding of powers being tied to a now even less controllable state of insanity would be quite hard on Joe... though I must admit, given my tastes, that just makes me want to see it happen even more.
 
Funny thought. Elf Singing, specially while in their native language probably help with spiral energy. The same for some of the magical schools.
But imagining someone acting shonen-like yelling 'believe in me that believe in you ' is as weird as it funny. Even more given how gracious and elegant the elves in the Lord of the Rings can act even in the ?third era? I think.

It would not be a Master power but all those other things.. Inexplicable Innuendo would get lots of listeners and he even has the musical accompanist!

I mean with the One at a time and the Lovers stone from the Skyforge boosting his learning capability's
And taking much less time needed to master the weapons, he can just learn a heckin lot of weapon styles. (Unless im Wrong about One at a time.)

Dont know about Royalguard though.
 
So I was thinking about the time one of Joe's clones got caught in a time stop bubble, and the resulting explanation that only Joe Prime's time limit matters. This got me to thinking about the opposite: what would happen if one of his clones got caught in a time acceleration bubble? I honestly can't see anyway for it to be anything other than a unimaginable boon.

Just imagine the sheer amount of time that clone would suddenly have! As long as Joe had some amount of food and drink on him, then his clone could spend however long in there building shit to their hearts content, assuming they are caught with at least what they have in their costume, that is.

Apeiron's badass enough without copying wacky wahoo pizza man's fighting style.

Taunt needed not for the usefulness, but for the fun scenes. It will give Joe stimulus to verbally trash his adversaries and this perk is fiat-backed. That means that he could say something like:"Your momma smells like a fish" - to distract Leviathan and it will WORK. I can't even imagine the depths of the well of hilarity that Taunts and Cuh-Ray-Zee! opens.

    I would first like to thank all of you here who explained why the "attack helicopter" style of 'joke' is offensive, and to extend my appreciation to users like @Dragna who—upon learning the truth about the 'joke' for the first time—chose to recognise that and change their behaviour to avoid propagating that offense.

    Because it is true that comments in the vein of "I identify as an attack helicopter" are—regardless of intent—attacks on the trans community and others who do not fit within traditional gender binaries. The original is intended to evoke ridicule and derision: the idea that just needing to say you identify as some other gender (or no gender at all) is as absurd as saying you are a literally a helicopter, that even acknowledging the existence of anything outside the gender binary is farcical on its face. It is base mockery of the idea that someone who is trans can actually exist and is definitionally transphobic, and it extends these properties by association to all the other 'jokes' that derive from it.

    It is for that reason that I have infracted @readerdreamer for 25 points under Rule 2: Don't Be Hateful and threadbanned him for three days: an attack helicopter-style 'joke' is transphobia, and transphobia is against the rules of Sufficient Velocity.
