Brockton's Celestial Forge (Worm/Jumpchain)

Joe can probably make one at this point, if you think about it. He has enough expertise in curses to do so, as well as enchanting and spellcrafting to achieve the same functions of a Death Note with much less limitations.
I actually think that he might be able to basically make one with just his divine crafting abilities. He can give objects abilities that are related to it's purpose but shouldn't naturally be there. So he could make some kind of "assassination journal" that makes people die as it's written in the book. Even if he couldn't do it with just one of them those abilities have been so heavily enhanced that he should be able to just make one if he felt like it. He wouldn't of course but he totally should be able to.

Was it true that it was specifically alchemy markings on them? I did a quick check ctrl-f on 'alch' but didn't find anything. Maybe it was an error from Roust since its no longer there and so many have commented on it? I have also a memory of Tammi commenting on alchemy texture.
It's previously noted as an artifact of Victor's unpracticed alchemy in particular:
Steel rearranged itself, shifting from a flat block into a rough sculpture of a woman. Of his wife.

The surface was flakey, but the effect was undeniable, and improving.

And also as a potential issue by Joe back in chapter 24:
Normally that kind of alchemy would result in crude flakey objects but the combination of my crafting and design powers made that completely impossible.

Yep, flakey alchemical constructs indicate either rush or inexperience in the construction step, both of which were applicable to Viktor in this case. Usually a minor cosmetic issue for most uses of Alchemy, unless you're using it for something more precise like healing or Tinkertech.

He can probably make it using divine death curses as a Divine Construct. Would be useful to get rid of March once and for all.

How often does Joe get letters from his demonic penpals?

Also, can we vote to include a letter from Olympus? He's had more interaction with them than any other franchise.

In fact, I'd love to modify the Forge. Get rid of a bunch of the personal reality perks and replace with "recieve something from", particularly given that a copy of Joe actually existed on those worlds at one time.

I'd love to see Joe walk away from his date with Crystal bemoaning his lack of social skills and inability to have a successful relationship, only to find a thick stack of love letters waiting back at the workshop, all essentially saying "the last ten years have been the best of my life".

Kick the boy out of the workshop into the real world. If dozens of versions of himself were able to live in the real world successfully then he should attempt to do the same.

Not really sure if they were noticed but they were there so could have just been of lower priority than studying the network while it's lighting up and connecting to Jack. Rune opened the atk with 4 but lost one to the initial move and then used another to chip at their debris field so there were either 2 or 3 when Survey appeared as they were still standing on 2 of them and both were described being under the gravity effect. Other possibilities are also that it may get noticed in review especially as one of the four had a distinct alchemy mark on it.
Thanks. I was a bit confused about that part

Wait why are people thinking Victor's alchemical discs are a big deal? I thought Survey was monitoring the thinker group chat he and Uber and others (I think Bastard Son was mentioned but not 100% on that) were doing to try and suss out Alchemy?

They are a big deal because even aside from any other means of detection 1 had flaky alchemy marks so blatant Rune noticed it and 2 or 3 of them were still around by the end. The forge is still ignorant about the thinker group which does include that branch of the elite so noticing the marks or if there's some other sign it reveals Victor knows alchemy which may even tip them off that he stole it during the rock.

It's kind of like a baby babbling. It's cute but completely incomprehensible and easy to defeat.

Hopefully, the Crystal date goes well. Joe's small drop of self-confidence from Aphrodite should help against the Doormat.

Does the Death counter still increase, from one of his perks, all is it set at activation?

Is this possible for Joe? yes absolutely, do I think this goes for survey too? absolutely not, she's a literal information god. I think she knows but finds the information not that important for joe to know about at this time.

edit:funny was not the reaction I expected haha

Like the Parian identity, she can probably consult with a Joe duplicate, Garment, Fleet and Tybalt later about it too, but she will conceal evidence according to her directives(unwritten rules), up to destroying everything other than herself. As well as Aisha's secret. As not to aggravate damage against Joe's schedule software maintenance(read: Therapy).

So, anyone wanna bet Survey already in this Thinker cabal and just has this "Hmmm... interesting" meme face expression every time she opens their Discord server?

At this point, I just want to see Joe go all out in the kitchen. I want to see him or his duplicates making a full on banquet with all of his powers and see what happens.

Maybe after things calm down, one of his duplicates could even open an Aperion restaurant. A stasis device keeping all the food perfectly preserved means he could even just do it on 20% time alone.

After all, once the cats outs of the bag about his clones, they can do all their 20% time outside of the workshop.

Survey is currently sticking to legal data accessing methods plus things the shards can't detect which is limited to the scrying items which are all focused on the nine and her divine authority access to a system but that can only be used on 1 at a time and she needs to know of it's existence but the thinker chat is heavily hidden an encrypted.

I wonder if Joe would be able to make a device that just answers questions correctly. Like the relic of knowledge from RWBY or something along those lines. You would still need to know what questions you should ask but it would be a top tier divination tool.

Just wanted to say this is the first fic I've read that takes Jack's fiction-breaking bullshit and uses it in a fun inventive way.

Jack's power feeds him omniscient advice collected from all active shards? Sounds like a shard network star chart!

Yeah. Joe's basically gone: How can I take advantage of Jack's OP ples nerf power to both cripple the guy and advance my other goals? I know, I'll hijack his power, feed him false information and use the real information to make progress on my real goals!

Father-Doormat(You know where Joe got it from)
Mother-Super tiger-helicopter Mom, unintentionally bitchy, cause of half of Joe's trigger
Alena-Former enemy, a current rival in the family, distance does wonders for your relationship, actually understands now.
Natalia-Actually intentional bitch, bears half the responsibility for Joe's trigger
Joe-Secretly the most powerful man in the world, no not the Scion hobo.

Note: Yes I know about the whole Sabah thing, they caused the immediate trauma though, King of Arms is a really shitty shard for your cape cred.

Because it was created just by alchemy means that the crafting process didn't leave any traces left. Alchemy isn't like a power that leaves traces behind. There are no residential traces of it after a crafting session.
Ok, I can see that. But I remember Rune mentioning that they were very identical. So wouldn't the forge notice that there were multiple objects with the "exact" same dimension, made from the same material and no sign of "conventional" production? I think it would point to alchemy or they might think there was a new trigger (like Joe's shard thinking it's Theo).

There are traces actually, they get referenced a few times throught FMA:B but the one that comes to mind right now is when kimbley is chasing scar. He looks at an avalanche blocking train tracks and deduces from marks on the rocks that alchemy was used to bring it down.
