@Academia Nut

What is Alyxs opinion regarding DL in regards to being able to administrate land more efficiently? Can it increase our upper Centralization range?

What are the odds, if any, that the Patricians turn the precedent into an endless Distribution loop that breaks the country? Can we stop that somehow?

If we do the DL quest, does he forsee the Patricians getting an unduly amount of personal power versus the crown? How does he see the impact in regards to corrupt/incompetent officials? Will he and his successors be able to toss them out or can they continue?

Does this confer any special lawmaking abilities on the Patricians in their districts or is this purely private landownership?

Why not skip out on festival, turn on an extra city, get an extra secondary, and use it for a festival NEXT turn? Saves us an action right now.
Overcrowding.

If we drop down to 11 EE and we take -16 EE next turn via income, we touch overcrowding at -5 and take a corresponding penalty to our disease rolls. While the penalty likely isn't much for touching the exact limit, I'd still prefer not to risk it while our hygiene infrastructure is still so far behind where it needs to be.

Okay guys and gals I gotta go do homework so I can't chat. Please make us come out smelling like shiny chrome roses.

Ganbatte!

Lord's Loyalty is one of the main things binding our empire together, and we have a lot of subordinates to hold. More then that, healthy ties between superiors and subordinates will help our society in general, as those in position of power will not abuse said power so much, a problem that we have right now.
You're assuming the lesson will be about superiors sacrificing for their subordinates and not vice versa.

Besides, where do you think subordinate commanders are going to come from?

That's right, the Patricians who didn't measure up.

If you want to pacify that bunch, you're far better off trying to make sure they don't get screwed over for not being up to snuff than by telling them how vital it is that they be mulched for the good of society.

New vote based on analysis. If we Improve Festival without more Expand Econs, it will cost us a city. I suggest leaving it for now and just contacting neighbours.

Approval voting both LL and Arete options. Both seem good.

Boundary Passage cannot be taken because it will cost 2 econ, which stops us from gaining 2 more cities. It's also not very important right now, and we need a Nothing vote somewhere. Diplo seems fine for it.

I still think can afford both Megas. Open to other options pending solid math saying otherwise.

Even if "touching" worked the way you think (and I don't believe it does), that isn't going to be a problem. Each city that comes online adds -2 Econ, +2 EE to our income, which means we wouldn't even go negative, much less touch -5.

Hmm? Only if we spend zero econ and don't increase our EE, which seems unlikely. As I understand it, econ refunds into EE immediately, so we shouldn't hit overcrowding.

Oooh, good point on the income. Changing vote.

I can guarantee you touching does work that way though.
1) It will influence the disease roll for the turn

[X] [React] Contact Freehills (Sec Diplomatic Mission)

I don't think contacting Freehills is that useful since 2/3 of our merc companies are half-dead, and the other is somewhat disloyal (L: 3/5) and only one merc company isn't that useful anyway.

Many prominent families had brought a change to the law before parliament, to better ensure that future generations would be guaranteed land to farm. It had broad support in the assembly, and Alyxunmyn was generally for accepting it, but the assembly representatives for the priests were rather opposed.
Does this give the patricians unlimited licence to distribute land on their own initiative in future, or are they restricted to subdividing land we give them? I think a lot of people are worried about opening the floodgates for them to endlessly sell off Crown assets to fund themselves; what accountability would they have?

Because of his high admin skill, Alyxunmyn gains three Sec reactions instead of one Main. Pick three choices (or four if you veto parliament)
Can we pick x2 on these?

Lessons were learned in the war. But what?
I would have thought that one of these would have mentioned responsibilities to friends/neighbours, since one of the big war issues was "how soon will we rescue the Harmurri?"

[] [Mystic] Gain a new trait slot for Mylathadysm (-12 Mysticism)
I don't think we know what trait slots are?

In the south the Harmurri were still reeling from nearly being conquered by the Highlanders and were in a major state of flux. Either one of the warrior bands that had been able to resist the Highlanders long enough for the People to show up would unify the Harmurri, or they would implode into a right mess.
Have they contacted us at all? I half-expected a Golden Age Diplo option related to them.

Nothing isn't a listed option for Mystic

Fair point.

We don't actually have 16 points of EE costs a turn. I mean, we do, but those are EE costs, not LTE costs. Of those 16 points, 13 are actually mirrored by incoming Econ; in other words, as long as we spend at least that much Econ, we won't be losing EE.

Can't we be screwed by the order of operations driving us deep into negative EE though?

I assume the lesson will be about both, as in current Lord's Loyalty.

And I am not sure what is your point about patricians. Commanders will come from many classes depending on a the command level, and some of them will come from patricians, but what of it? It wouldn't really deincentivise abuse.
