[X] [Conq] Take the northern lowlands (Thunder Speakers become vassal, Txolla annex additional territory, gain Ruined Thunder Horse as vassal, remainder fragment, -4 Econ and 4 temporary Econ damage from supporting wrecked vassal)
[X] [Refugee] Send out runners that you have food and intact farmland (6 temporary Econ damage, -6-8 Econ Expansion, -1 Stability, chance of further loss, +6-8 Econ next turn)
[X] [PttS] Black Mirror
[X] [PttS] 0 Stability
[X] [Diplo] Send out reassurances (Sec Trade Mission to Khemetri, Trelli, and Harmurri)
[X] [PSN] Bit more black soil (Sec Black Soil, -1 Centralization

Forgot about having to spend 3 turns and maybe more on helping the NTP survive. Rather spend those turns absorbing and influencing our subs.

Goofy and duckies, @Karugus why do you have to be so reasonable?????

Using well thought out arguments is cheating
I know, after reflecting on some of my more vitriolic posts, I decided to try out these fancy new things people have mentioned called 'reasonableness' and 'tact' :V

I considered it for a bit, then realized all our actions were being done through the lens of a relatively poor Diplo king.
Our King actually has Average Diplo

[] [King] Hertythn (Heroic Admin, Average Diplo, Poor Martial; takes control while alive (1, possibly 2 turns))

He actually had the best diplo score out of all of our candidates for King.
There's no reason not to actually try to create some sort of relationship with our neighbors, especially as we are riding high on prediction the Doom Comet and taking a shit ton of land.

The other 3 EE are refunds from overflow. Those need overflow to happen and thus are not automatically added in, just like e.g. the Efficient Economy bonus needs Econ>=10 to happen and is thus not counted inline with Wealth income.
EE gain from overflow occurs when overflow occurs

I know where the -11 and +3 are coming from. It was literally part of the post that started this chain. I was asking why it doesn't account for the +1 from paying 1 econ.

[X] [Diplo] Let's maybe spread out in case the gods throw another bolt (Found Far Northern Trade Post)

The only thing I really care about here.

Also holy shit meteor prediction? Do we have another psyker?

Once again, I am confused as to why the thread doesn't want to capitalize on this perfect opportunity to gain inroads with our neighbors and begin properly influencing them, and instead wants to build a far flung trade post to the North, which the traders will likely begin agitating for soon anyways in order to get more dominances in goods that our currently unneeded.

People then begin to wonder why all of our neighbors take a swing at us as soon as they think they can.

My view is that our surrounding polities are fearful of the rising hegemony (aka Ymaryn), and they will seek to protect their own existence. Which is cultural/tech development or war, and war being the easier and more direct action; it get chosen more often.

we-we're paying 1 econ???
Primal is saying that the +3 overflow is separate from the 3 econ each true city consumes and gives back. He is saying that we are essentially gaining 6 EE from our True Cities due to what he proposes
Our pop-explosion gives -14 EE. However, our true cities each consume 1 Econ, and therefore refund 1 EE. Furthermore, overflow (which is a different effect and therefore is refunded separately) also refunds 3 EE (our cap from 3 cities). As a result, assuming we overflow at least 3, we are only using 8 EE per turn here.
I was asking why the stat page doesn't actually note that if we are actually gaining 6 EE from True Cities as he claims

They wouldn't be as fearful if they realized that we don't actually want to conquer them.

They just assume that we do, because that's what they would do if they were us, and we don't ever contact them in any meaningful way, so they have no idea what we are like or what our culture is like.

The fact that we stand in isolation from all of our neighbors, and then go out and fight people, makes us known as "the strangers with a lot of stuff and land". If we don't try to start building relations with out neighbors, that's all they will ever think of us as, and they will start trying to take our stuff as soon as we seen vulnerable because they have no reason not to attack us.

Black Mirror is winning by 5?? It's pointless! Frivolous!! Build our own observatory!
I've still only seen like two people explain their reasoning for voting for Black Mirror, so I'm not sure why it has so many votes.
