There's nothing stopping us from stripping him of his regalia and defiling that, while burying his naked corpse in an unmarked grave. Rulhythyn pioneered this method of dealing with enemy kings.

I don't think we actually defiled the regalia. It's more of a practice that symbolically destroy a person's honor in the eyes of the ancestors and history.

Can you give details please?
The 2nd Punic war was brutal for the Romans.
They faced Carthage, a peer level superpower. Unfortunately Carthage had the greatest military mind in history leading her armies. Hannibal Barca left hundreds of thousands of dead Roman soldier in his wake, ravaging the Italian countryside and coming within marching distance of Rome. But the Romans had reserves and basically beat Carthage on every other front (there were four fronts) and invaded Carthage itself. Hannibal was defeated by Scorpio Africanus (one of the few survivors of Hannibals slaughters as a young lad and someone who spent his life studying Hannibal ready for revenge) and Carthage was broken.

The 2nd Persian invasion of Greece saw the Persians bring in 200,000 soldiers to conquer Greece. Only to face 300 Spartans. The rest is history, the Greeks broke the Pesians in vengeance for Thermopylae. Inflicting stunning victories despite the fact Northern Greece was conquered and Athens burned. Salamis saw the Persians given another black eye and eventually they were even driven out of Ionia, the Greeks punishing them for every step they took into europa. Athens was rebuilt and the Persians left to stew in their own rage and impotence for decades.

Actually I've had a Berserker Axchin and Innocent Monster style Berserker Gigan!Gwygoytha floating around in the back of my mind since those names were relevant...
Well, those would probably count, if they were remembered because I think the Fate system lore has it that the Hero in question has to be remembered and made a story in order to be enshrined on the Throne. Since they aren't I don't think they are around to be Servants.

Yenyna here has that being remembered part covered though. :V

Not out of the Red yet mate. We're on the beink of losing the Red Banner and Gulvalley whilst on -1 stability.
We lose Gulvaley we take a kick to the teeth via Divine Stewards that we simply can't tak. We will collapse, we will die.
Oh I know, but this feels much more like a case of either/or, not an 'oh god what do we do?' Have you heard of the game Long Live the Queen? I couldn't play it because my gut reaction to every failed event was 'oh god I messed up I'm going to fail horribly oh god.'

Before, I felt a lot like that. We had to consistently pick the best option for every choice or we wouldn't get even a partial victory, due to all the plates we were being forced to spin. But, with the TH out and the Highlanders likely to surrender, we can work on focusing overwhelming force on a single point. It's now not a case of 'how much, where, and how long' but just 'how much.'

I can't really think of a good precedent, but I'd say it'd go down more like the Second Punic War, especially with the whole "don't worry, we have reserves" attitude we have, as well as the fact that this war will determine who gets to rule the world.
Considering in that war the Roman's had their entire army killed (which is rare as all hell in this time period) in a single battle.....

Gwygoytha is long forgotten (and even if she weren't, Gigan is), but Axchin still shows up as the first King in pretty much every single myth we've seen. So yeah, future Ymaryn!Nasu could easily use him.

Incorrect, the Greeks did not broke the Persians in Thermopylae, evident in the burning of Athens. Do not believe the silly propaganda from films like the 300.

And remember, Persia is actually the nice guy of history.

The King Still Stands: Whenever someone uses the Take the Crown CB on you or you are engaged in a struggle for King of the Hill, every full turn they fail to knock you out they lose 1 Stability
I just realized something. If we don't take out HK after the Khems are dealt with and HK invades us again with this like normal, we wouldn't even need to attack the highly-fortified core. We would just need to outlast them to make them so unstable that they collapse! :drevil:

At least that is a silver-lining, even if I will still prefer that we just deal with them immediately rather than waiting for them to rebuild yet again.

Not perfect fits but they match the theme of being outmatched but still being victorious.

Rome is the most similar but they didn't have to deal with other nations jumping them at the same time. I think this war will finish with much less disasters then they had it.

No, I never said they were broken at Thermopylae, it's just that it was a key component to rallying the Greeks together, used to shame them into fighting at Platea.

Scipio Africanus-Major. And I feel the need to point out that Hannibal was defeated because the leaders of Carthage forced him to fight a conventional battle, when all his previous victories had been because of unconventional tactics.
They gave him a poorer army than he was used to, with his Numidian cavalry fighting for the other side whilst he was at a cavalry disadvantage and he fought against a guy who had studied him for his whole life and came prepared.

He still almost won, despite everything, despite the fact it was near impossible, he still almost won

Oh yes, Yenyna is definitely cooler than Axchin. Girl painted her sigil in blood for crying out loud.
It's the First moniker that I had issues with. ^^

And as for how we're shaping of as the Final Boss, well, we kinda just opened the gates of Gygo and a freaking dragon came out, so I think we're doing pretty well.

I think things are going great so far. We struck in all directions and did near party wipe on the low level guilds. Now only a single high ranking party is left for us take out before we shatter our enemies.
