we need Stallions for the boost in economy (wealth and econ) they provide, to prevent a cascade breakaway event, and to deal with the wars we're going into. Yes, it will strain us, but everything else that's going on could break us. I really don't think we have any time left now.

[X] [Main] Grand Palace x2
[X] [Secondary] Expand Economy
We'll be down to Economy 4 with this plan. The Expand Economy only pays for the Grand Palace progress, but not for the True City expenditure. It leaves us very little wiggle room Economy-wise and this is the best Double Main Grand Palace plan yet. The rest would have us at Economy 2 or even less if that extra Secondary is used for an Econ-consuming action.

EDIT:
[X] [Main] Grand Palace
[X] [Main] Grand Palace x2
[X] [Secondary] Influence Subordinate - Stallion Tribe
This plan, for example, would leave us at Economy 1, and that's with the +1 the forests give us this turn. Order of operations could well leave us at Economy 0 before we climb back up to Economy 1. It's not a safe place to be at all.

We could theoretically fix that with refugees in the mid-turn, but given we're not boosting stability...

It's time for the Palace - I can be convinced to switch on the secondary.

Well, it looks like the bandwagon has turned against Megaproject Support this turn. I suppose we are still at war with the Swamp Folk, and it's hardly the end of the world even if we weren't, probably.

Still, it would be a good thing to have. The tax crisis will probably be resolved through Megaprojects, after all - the Palace, the Census, and then the Law (Iron Age). I feel like a sufficiently massive and comprehensive road network might be put under the label of Megaproject, if Academia Nut was feeling nice.

What I want to do with the roads is somehow get the military involved. The Roman legions were famous for their road construction, and in modern times the Army Corps of Engineers is pretty good at what they do. That would probably mechanically translate into Martial constantly trickling into road construction, which might be a good thing if handled correctly - all other stats overflow into Martial eventually, after all, though of course we haven't really had issues with the main stats overflowing in... a while.

What was that thing I saw people do...ah yes, strategic voting!

I'll be remaining firmly against adding any strain to our admin infrastructure. We have decided against many possible options of alleviating said stress. At this point I think we just have to build the palace while juggling our stats. This puts us on a three turn completion timer, sadly not rushable. This is to hoping the Stallions don't up and leave us before it is done!

We are still at war with the Swamp Folk and the Thunder Horse. No way are we solving that with a secondary.
