"The north is biting for a fight, and the south wants someone to blame for all of this. I'm moving some warriors from my tribe and the rest of the tribes to the Red Banner so everyone gets a chance at glory, and then I'm going to go take the head off of whoever is to blame for this," Phygrif explained.

The council seemed to not get his point, not even the northern chiefs who had put him there, but the War Chief said, "Well, all of our neighbours aren't really a problem... well, other than in the north and those tribes have already been dealt with. I suppose the Xohyssiri's practices could be a problem, but we've been dealing with other things and they're a bit far..."

"The Xohyssiri? What's with them?" Phygrif asked, eagerly.

"Human sacrifice, including of young children and babies. The Red Banner fought against them under the employ of the Thunder Speakers and the Highlanders and learned of this practice, but we were unable to follow up after that," the Spirit Chief explained in disgust.

Phygrif blinked a few times before he clapped his hands together and said, "Right then, there's your problem! I'll be taking the Red Banner to go kill them now!"
LATER
Phygrif: "Well, that was fun! So... Problem solved, right guys?"

Ymaryn: "The Xohyr gave us this as thanks for spreading the cure. Then centuries later, we burned their cities down because we don't like their human and child sacrifice business."
We were tolerant of them sacrificing criminals and debt slaves it was the sacrificing of children that pissed us off.

Considering we are no longer taking climate damage and the north has stopped griping for a while yes it is indeed problem solved.

People should stop voting that the Red Banner Company should rest. We want to lower Martial so that we can integrate the Stallion Tribes and killing off members of the RBC will let us do that by opening up spots for some of our warriors to go off and join them. If we're particularly lucky, the Red Banner will be destroyed, freeing up a full 5 Martial as we can make a new mercenary company without getting drained of 2 Wealth per turn.

So, a point for letting the Red Banner rest is that it lets them propagate their experience against settled civs with the rest of our warriors, since our primary war experience has been against nomads.

You DO know that the red banners count as a periphary state right? So sendibg them out to die will trigger lord's loyalty. Granted it will not result in a death spiral but expect a stab hit from that choice.

Letting our experienced and prestigious mercenary company die for no reason seems like a real bad idea.
If you want their martial you can just not pay them and treat them as regular warriors for the interim.
It might also proc Lord's Loyalty to willingly send them to their deaths.

ok

This update was suprisingly totally fine.

It's as if Phy automatically makes things okay when it's his pov.

I'm pretty damned sure we can Support Subordinate the Red Banner without getting even more of them killed off.

And actively trying to work them all to death is a good way to set off Lord's Loyalty.
Support Subordinate wouldn't work. The more Martial we feed them the more warriors they have, and since those warriors will have to be paid we'll end up having to pay Wealth anyway. Better to just found another mercenary company in that case, as at least then the power won't be concentrated in a single army and it would be much more action-efficient.

The fluff would not be trying to work them to death. The fluff would be using our mercenary company to fight against attackers. Divine Stewards and Honourable Death would be the relevant values, not Lord's Loyalty.

If you want their martial you can just not pay them and treat them as regular warriors for the interim.
That INCREASES our Martial stat. It's the exact opposite of what we want. Read my posts again to understand why I think killing them off will drop our Martial stat. It's not because them getting killed off will directly drop our Martial.

BURN IN THE NAME OF CIVIC SANITATION
Edit: Also, why are people voting for (not a war mission) when according to AN we need a war mission?

Lowering centralization to open up an Enforce Justice or New Trails next turn too.

As far as I am concerned letting the RB rest is just a bonus. The real value comes from having them at home in case the TH decide to attack anyway or the HK manage to manouvre arround us.

Also they know how strong the RB is having hired them before so their pressence at the home front might discourage them from further attacks.

Again with this

Crow and his daughter and her son, did NOTHING WRONG. Double so on Grandson. Literally he was one of our best Kings.
......Crow was a rapist murderer and his daughter screwed over the people by driving Ashwryn nuts and then using her son to install her people into the best positions.

His Grandson was alright but the daughter and Crow himself were arseholes

Andres110 is ideologically opposed to the Ymaryn sponsoring a mercenary company. This is just the most recent opportunity to try and kill it.
Fuck off. Don't put words in my mouth. I just want to free up Martial so we can integrate the Stallion Tribes without going over the cap. I even stated in my plan that the best case scenario was the RBC being wiped out because then we could found a new mercenary company, which is the most action-efficient way to reduce our Martial.

The People deserved what the daughter did to them. It's why she was forgiven in the end.

What make you thin we're adding the RBC scores to ours?

I don't. I just don't want to have to have -2 Wealth per turn paying 2 mercenary companies. If the RBC dies and we found a new mercenary company, that's -5 Martial from founding the new mercenary company and we only get -1 Wealth per turn due to only having one mercenary company around.

Other people think that I think the RBC is adding their score to ours either because they're lying or wrong.
