Serious question: won't our teammates try to stop us from committing suicide?
Won't we need a contingency plan? What will we do if our team recognizes what we want to do? Or maybe we are yet again forgetting a crucial detail that would render this plans useless, if not catastrophic? (are there any barriers around the sky platform?)

As much as I am not for this plan, it seems to be the winning one right now. Let's make sure our last plan doesn't repeat the mistakes that got us here.

Guys, stop voting for suicide. The GMs have seen our criticism about how they handled things and are talking about it. Honestly, I'm holding out hope for at least a partial retcon, because our GMs are reasonable people and they have received what they think are valid criticisms.

-as he votes for suicide
He is going to be really really rational about it. He will use dispel first just incase it turns out to be a genjutsu and then make distance between anyone who would try to stop him from accomplishing his mission.

Only then he will use the best tools he has at his disposal to accomplish his goal in the most effective way possible, perfectly rational.

four words: three thousand explosive tags.

[X] Poll: Move MfD to a weekly update to take some strain off the GMs

I am hoping that they change their mind. Maybe they should add another QM.

That is rational. IRL, we don't get to undo mistakes.

We shouldn't undo our mistakes. But we need to be able to not keep making the same mistakes. A lot of this mistake is because we lacked information that Hazo should have access to.

We can't read a book on Ninja opsec, but Hazo can, as an example.

There are a lot of intellectual skills that we can't learn because of the information barrier, that we need to rely on Hazo to implement just like we rely on him to implement tajitsu. If we can't rely on him to implement those intellectual skills that we can't, even with training, then he's mentally handicapped. We might be able to work around that if we acknowledge it, but it will be tricky. Personally, I think working around that would be interesting but time consuming for everyone involved and that it would be nice if we didn't have to work around that handicap and instead could focus on the relevant parts of the story.

All that training with Mari specifically to avoid situations like this, well that's a skill that Hazo has that we the players don't have access to.

We still need to activate them before any of our teammates catch up to us.

Also I think I know why at least some people want Hazou to commit suicide- it's a statement. Just leaving doesn't leave a sign- it's like you were never there, no one will care.
You are angry and emotionally hurt, and wish to show it by breaking things around you, in this case by ending the quest. At least that's how I felt, sans suicide vote.

Thank you, QMs. I've lurked since I saw the post in r/rational that announced @Velorien and @eaglejarl were going to work together on a thing, and I think you've (@OliWhail included) pushed the boundaries of what this strange little storytelling medium can be.

There isn't another piece of free media on my plate that is this high-quality, consistently updated, and diplomatically moderated. I look forward to every chapter, even if some of them, like this one, cause my hairline to recede a little more.

I trust your collective voice, so I look forward to however this thing turns out.

(Regular players, y'all are actually really cool too.)

Okay now back to lurking...

Generally I don't participate in the votes because the regular players actualize my preferences better than I generally could.

And of course I wouldn't be complaining if I wasn't invested in the story.

Idea: Team Spaceship:

So, in Star Trek, everyone on the ship has individual jobs to make sure everything goes smoothly. There's the navigator, the comms guy, etc etc. We could have players take a dedicated role towards each thing that needs to happen. For example, one person could take the role of Inter-team interactions, or even break it down to Keiko-Modeler, etc. ("GUYS IF WE DO THIS KEIKO WILL HAVE A PANIC ATTACK!")

Roles should be non-exclusive, so as to allow multiple people to provide insight from different angles.

I recognize this is a lot of work, but if it works, it has the potential to be absolutely amazing.

Perhaps the next game should just be an entirely new setting. It might be fun to play an SCP Mobile Task Force.

"Hazou's peaceful smile flew across the room, propelled by kilobricks of explosive tags."

I know people aren't thrilled at the moment.

But seriously, look at the bright side. The team has changed the world for the better given their unlikely circumstances and background.

The butterflies team uplift made caused some very interesting shifts in narutoverse.
That we survived this long and made such interesting changes is testament to both clever qms and a dynamic playerbase.

So, if worse comes to worse, I'd would still be fun to see what a missing-nin would look like in a post-team uplift world.

So, basically, I wanna say even if the end feels bad, the ride was fun for this team, be proud of the journey.

I canceled my vote to let other players continue the quest, but that doesn't seem to be happening. It seems that we are in complete despair.

Eh, give the Game Enders (because suicide voters sounds far less cool) some time.
They should be well past anger, and maybe even past bargaining.
At least a few should take a nap, then come back with a fresh mind, able to think rationally once again.

In interest of those players:

This update hurt. A lot.

Put aside fear for courage, and death for life.
But it's times like these to ignore how hopeless and empty you feel and keep moving forward.

I might be unwilling to read an expertly crafted misery quest, but that doesn't mean Hazou the character should give up.

[X] Poll (Agency): Yes

Quick question.

Didnt Minami use a mist-endurance technique on us to gather intel.

Any ideas on how she knew that and Hazou or the others didnt?
