FWIW, my model of Shika looks at any plan to put Gouketsu "repeatedly shatters global paradigms in ways that are a headache to account for" Hazou in any kind of manic emotional state (especially driven by negative emotions), and quietly keels over and vomits.

I am deeply unclear as to why you would ask me to vote for your plan in this manner. It comes across pretty rude, given that I've articulated previously, both generally and to you directly, that I'm not interested in watching an on-screen meeting about ES 50, and that I have that meeting in my plan, just off-screen.And maybe also the massive bomb that is ES50 while we're at it?
An Emergency Clan Meeting in which we talk about these two situations with our clan is actually going to end up pretty interesting. Especially with Kei Nara there.
Kei Nara who would be Clan Head after Asuma executes Shikamaru for treason, like Hiruzen(?) did to that one Hyūga Clan Head. (Though this is the least of the reasons this is going to be interesting.)

Asuma isn't going to execute Shikamaru under any circumstances. Asuma is not stupid and I suspect he will have already identified that the timelines are weird and may imply a leak.
I agree this is important. I'd like to give it the space it deserves, next cycle.

I included those points because they seem to be the rough consensus viewpoint, and I want to respect/represent that. I also expect it's absence to be dealbreaker for some posters.

I don't think pointing this out to Asuma costs us much, even if he's behind it. I do think how he responds will let me update on how much to suspect him. but it's s fair concern.

Yeah I think this was a point of confusion for us, because IIRC we didn't even discuss following the trail any further, and when Asuma said that I was like 'what? we can do that?'. Might have been a good idea.

That doesn't really factor in here imo. We have sufficient evidence to determine that the attackers knew she was coming in advance. This wasn't just a random encounter that wiped her team because the world is dangerous.
