IIRC it's not that Tsunade is having trouble convincing people to be medics, but that:
-The Tower prioritizes combat to medical(Something that Asuma even notes wasn't really the smartest idea in the collapse)
The Tower doesn't choose people's specialties. If anything is making people do it its the warrior culture sentiment, IE "My friends and family are putting their lives on the line so I should too." Which I think is the actual explanation we were given

Medicine, much like sealmastery, is something clanless had access only in name, especially genins
I really really doubt Tsunade would be picky about clan politics like this, and she is by far the best medic in the world, and the source of most of these medical knowledge resources

Tsunade has a pretty high standard of who can and cannot be a medic.
Whether or not the notes are shared or not does not change this, and it also has nothing to do with the Sarutobi or Naruto being interested in the notes

Ninja want to fight on the frontlines for cultural reasons.
Indeed, which is why I said Tsunade was having a hard time convincing more people to be medics and why generally it isn't seen as an attractive skillset

But i'll be honest, i don't think it matters? The point isn't that the Sarutobi are all medics, but that it will strongly empower their medic-nins, and XP is the most rare and important currency in the ninja world.
It absolutely matters if they view their technique hacking notes as substantially more valuable than medical notes (especially if Tsunade's textbook is substantially better anyways.)

EDIT: Finally, we have both medical and sealing notes
But I never suggested giving up the sealmaster notes, I suggested showing them to Naruto and Tsunade for sentimental reasons. Neither of them are sealmasters and they would not have a use for them.

It's a pretty big asset, as our "Let's make all the Goketsu sealmasters/medics" ideas show.
I'm not sure we've shown anything yet tbh

The only especially impressive jump due to notes is Hazou with Jiraiya's notes which are already public

I'm very on board the "let's gets ES, sealing, calligraphy (in that order)!" Hype train to epic seal land. This does mean there's really little point researching harder seals right now until we boost our score by enough, but we can still knock out easier projects quickly.

There is an alternative option here, we could buy ES 40 and Sealing 39 (Eff 61), then bump ES to 50 and Sealing into 40-something later, without slowing down our sealing or ES 50. Also we might get lucky and only need ES 40 to begin 3D Sealing

Will also require another 20 however, so I guess maybe it is slower by a few days

I support this plan, it's a reasonable compromise between the two camps.

Plus, Hazou is going to be using Athletics a lot in the coming updates. A boost to Sub would be very helpful. He came very close to having to abandon the mission in the last update.

I'll be honest, i don't quite understand where the discussion ended up? "The Medical notes aren't as useful" isn't really an answer, because the point was never to buy TH with only those, and "the medical notes add no value" also seems silly, considering they are a XP lootbox and even the most worthless XP lootbox is still XP and something ninjas would kill for.
"Tsunade's textbook is better" also is not really relevant, because we're not trading with Tsunade, we're trading with the Sarutobi if we decide to do so, so what exactly we are talking about? "It is better to sell the notes to Tsunade than the other people"? I would say no, because we can try to obtain Tsunade's lootbox in other ways, IMHO.

EDIT: Maybe "The medical notes are generally useless for the various clans"? I would strongly doubt it, but that is something we can probably just ask Mari and Noburi and receive a straight answer, i think it's not something difficult to know.

I def want to wait pulling the trigger on ES since we are about to have Oro take a look at the Great Seal. In fact we should probably check up on that and see how long it will be till he arrives since it has been 3 weeks. If we can solve it now we could just go full sealing and really increase how strong we are rapidly. We are just weeks away from legitimately being the greatest seal master in the world

Your concern is that sharing the medical notes with Tsunade would be a waste. My opinion is they're not really that valuable (relatively speaking, as in in terms of getting stuff we want in exchange for them). Buying goodwill from her is probably the most valuable 'purchase' we can make with them, imo.

This is not to say that we shouldn't trade for TH notes, I just think we will probably need to buy them with something else. Maybe novel seals or just good old fashioned money

For Archaeopteryx you mean? Hazou may need to leave and come back to train Substitution

Do y'all think we could get there faster than 3 days if Hazou skyslides over?
Yeah, he might. I doubt it's worth it in that case.

According to Google, fast rowboats can do 5-6 mph. Skysliders can do 20mph so he should be able to get back in a single day.

Assuming he's not attacked in the air by Archaeopteryx.

Current action plan. I'm a little sick, so my brainmeats aren't functioning at 100%, but ping me if you have any feedback?

[X] Action Plan: The Offscreened Dance, with Some Snowflake Retcons
Word Count: <300
  • Sanity check everything with Mari.
  • Throw a small, private party (close friends/family only, their polycules obviously invited)
    • Food
    • Hire a band that Akane and Ino, specifically, like.
    • Moonlight.
    • Floating lanterns.
    • Arrange Arachnid entertainment if Kagome can manage.
      • Aerial silk dancers? Trapeze?
    • Show off.
      • Dance with Ino and Akane.
      • SCs use ES to make the dance floors rise.
        • 15x15 square dance platforms rising 16m, slowly spins around like a screw.
        • Hire + consult with a mosaic artist to have one of the SC ES the dance floor with a simple moving pattern without tripping up feet.
    • Talk about getting or not getting used to a life like this.
  • If there's an in-universe reason that wouldn't upset Akane/Ino/Snowflake, Hazou dances with Snowflake
    • Such as...
      • Ask Snowflake if she'd like to help in our own experiment
        • Test to see if other high-stakes dancing evokes a similar response from the Iron Nerve
      • We want to dance with her
      • [insert other reasons, as bandwidth allows]

He almost certainly will be if he glides all the way over, but he can switch to skywalkers when he gets within 10 minutes of ninja-speed running
This is only like 3.3 miles, he could probably be spotted at that distance, better to make it at least 30 min. Ninja running is as fast as skysliders, just a lot more skywalker intensive.

I mean, won't he be spotted on skywalkers too? I thought the point was more to be ready for conflict than anything. He could also probably just water-walk the last stretch instead.

Do we have an action that move the plot forward instead of doing a fluffy scene?

[X] Action plan: Move the Plot Forward

Interact with the condoor the least.
  • Acquire all the permissions necessary beforehand to arrange for their safe arrivial in either Doggos or spider wifey territory.
    • Doggo less ideal due to pangolin diplomats.
  • Acquire the permission to kill their braindead dino-bird comrade. Do it with respect.
Base setup:
  • Reuse the bird refuge as a base.
    • Divide and organize area as befitting of a two men team. Bedrooms, water storage, food, etc.
      • Finally, little by little each day expand the base everyday in anticipation of future lair residents.
    • Setup air filter, store bird guano, block off unreachable area to remove smell.
    • Guano potentially good resources as fertilizers.
    • Explosives and other traps for protection from infiltration and safe exfiltration.
    • Set up an extra two escape route as necessary.
Maximum caution:
  • Use a SC for scouting while setting up the base. Get layout of the island, identify opportunity. and access threats.
  • When actually going out, get a SC for extra eyes and ears. Get to the nearest point of interest. Identify and collect.

[x] Action Plan: Transparency
  • Kagome desummons, reverse summons to arachnid, and then sends up a signalling explosive pattern from the shore to say whether we have permission to transport the condors into the territory.
  • If permission granted, Hazou ferries the condors across.
  • Once everyone is in arachnid, Hazou needs to have a talk with them.
    • Explanation to the effect of: "So, when my sister first got the scroll we knew nothing about the seventh path and the pangolin boss tricked us into thinking you'd blocked off their access to an important religious/diplomatic site, and they needed ways to defend themselves against your aggression. By the time we discovered the truth, we were beholden to a superior who ordered us to continue the arms deal. That person is now no longer our superior. The pangolin summoner and I cut the deal off, and would dearly like to help the Condors regain what was taken from them, if possible."
    • We won't endanger our sister with overt action until the resistance is ready to make a coup de grace. As far as we know, Pantsaa is not yet aware of having made an enemy of his summoner and his former weaponsmith.
    • Be prepared to desummon/defend+evade if things turn ugly.
    • Tone: Hazou is angry at Pantsaa for tricking them, and looking for justice against the Pangolin Empire and to right what Hazou enabled to go wrong. He is not grovelling for forgiveness, he is uniting with allies with whom he shares a common cause.

Kagome can just reverse summon to the sanctuary and ask directly for permission.

It's unfortunate that I entirely agree but won't vote to actually tell them this. I think it's an extremely bad idea to leak that the pangolin Summoner and/or the Dog Summoner is not loyal to Pangolin and is actively plotting against them. The condors have no reason to play nice with this information and we could wind up getting Kei killed in one of their schemes, or by Pantsaa catching wind of it.

A plan that is approximately what you have but much more vague about Hazou's (and especially Kei's) loyalties and intentions for the Pangolins is the only way I see myself voting for it.
