I believe there was a Write In along the lines of :

[ ] Have Tobe take him.
If Tobe thinks he should be hired, well, it's not like the Vagabonds are much more competent than Goob. Besides, it would probably be a good idea to have Goob present for that 'report' Tobe's making to the 'time police' or whatever he meant.

Hey all. Its really difficult to stay up with everything at work right now, but I just want you to know we're still here, we're still listening, we'll respond properly as soon as real life gives us the chance to coherently do so.

Could somebody please point me to the location of that "delete all flubber options" personal we apparently forgot to take? I can't find it.

Seriously, Ludivine was one of the people who Vetoed the damn thing! A couple more bad Turns like this and people are just going to stop caring. We can't play risky, because then we get screwed over by our risky plays, and we can't play conservative, because the dice hate us and we get screwed over anyway! People are going to start throwing their hands up in disgust and either stop caring about the Opinion meter and things like it, or start blowing everything on all-or-nothing gambits out of spite against the dice. I'm half-considering it now.
And this I have to a agree with. Ludivine can be absent minded, sure. But Flubber Antigravity is one thing where the duck herself said "this is a bad idea!". Was she lying to the boss? Or is she just that dysfunctional as a person?

And yeah, with constant fires to put out I'm increasingly of the opinion to just say scew high ideals, let's just do as many cool things as we can and surf this firestorm to destruction.

If anything I think we are playing it too safe. I am too getting tired of constant damage control, but I am not convinced that we simply must to play defensively. We can secretly leak info on Havaii to public, blow alien masquerade and rehabilitate Flubber, damn consequences, any alien invasion would be government problem not ours. Or go all in on prison break, rescue multiple characters and form black ops team with them. But no, we only considering cajoling to the government as answer, not surprising that people don't enjoy it.

That should be a recovery option. Expose the cover up. Fuck over the us Gov in order to reduce the impact on us.

I'm just tired and I feel like we never get anywhere, or if we do start getting anywhere some random shit happens to kick us back to Square One.

I'm not mad.

I'm just... tired and it's hard to feel any real excitement for seeing what will happen because it seems like there's no way to construct long-term plans or give DEI a future other than "try to hang on and not flame out and collapse." Too many of the bad things that happen to us aren't even enemy action (which would make sense) or specific bad choices on our part (like giving LOVEMUFFIN bad instructions). They're just... random shit.

When I say bad, I mean bad enough that it dramatically colors the turn itself.

We had an unfavorable inator roll, but it wasn't a big earth-shaking disaster. I'm talking about the kind of inator where the turn it goes off is dominated by "all the bad shit that happened because of the inator."

This sums up my feelings pretty well. I was honestly kind of hyped that nothing awful had happened this turn.
If we have to use these rolls, then launching our headquarters into space would have been a preferable outcome. At least that would have a wow factor to it.
This just sucks.

Thanks. I've said my piece in here, and if I have anything more to say I'll just edit this post to add it in instead of scattering it about the thread. I don't wanna blow up the thread and make it harder on you guys even if I disagree with how this went down.

Overall I'm having a good time on this quest, otherwise I wouldn't be as invested in it.

[X] Have Tobe take him to the time authorities.

I want to be clear with the vote. Don't want Goob to become a Ninja, but to be taken to Dakota and Cavendish.

Now that Doof don't reject reality, can we get the remove flubber personal action for next turn?
Like, with big bold letters, so Doof don't forgets why is it on most post it notes around his house/office :V

Joke aside, be safe and good luck!

So, what's Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated's specialty now?

Our biggest specialization was Learning, and we still crit-failed on it this turn, and now that's crippled.

Diplomacy? Our reputation is in tatters, so that's crippled.

Intrigue? Already crippled with Russ gone.

Martial? Hah, nice joke, we already know that we're never going to vote on anything like assaulting a rival.

Occult? Oh great, now we can cripple ourselves even more by blowing the magic masquerade by accident.

Since we're in tatters anyway, I suggest we at least take our fate into our own hands for once and blow the magic masquerade on purpose.

If the world is determined to not let us achieve greatness, than let us at least make the world tremble!

EDIT: Who knows, maybe if a rival gets friendly with the Huntsclan that will finally convince the thread to vote to assault someone.

At this point, Doofenshmirtz is a supporting character at best, not a protagonist, and they will not survive the way things are going. The quest is explicitly structured that way, nerfing Doofenshmirtz from the start.

We have the damascus sword of Toffee, the Government and therefore Xanatos, and Bill over our heads. Even if we survive Toffee and Bill, people will still turn on us.

So, why not be the villain? We'll go out with a bang rather than with a whimper.

You might be exaggerating a bit.
Oh, really?

Against Syndrome we were supporting Evelyn.

Against Evelyn, Doofenshmirtz was supporting Mirage, who in turn was supporting Hego.

Against Demona, we were supporting Xanatos.

Here, we were supporting Ludivine, and that crash and burned on us.

What have we done that other kings haven't done comparative things to, sell cricket and rodent meat?

It occurs to me that from a PR standpoint, this is more recoverable than it seems at first.

Ludivine set out to demonstrate that Flubber is less dangerous than it seems. Guess what, it exploded and nobody was hurt.

Clearly, this was a successful demonstration that comedizing Flubber technology is a viable option. Though, of course, we will not actually implement this technology without government approval, and if we do get governmental approval we'll have strict safety standards designed by the very best comedians.
