[ ] Environmental Adaptations (Dinosaurs)
DC 130
You may have brought them back from extinction, but as they are now, dinosaurs simply aren't suited for every situation. Minor adjustments to their DNA will change that, allowing you to make specialized dinosaur strains and subspecies for whatever comes their way! Floods, droughts, cold weather, or bullets! Where one dinosaur subtype fails, another will prevail!
(Reward: Increased effectiveness of dinosaurs in combat. Miscellaneous benefits in other areas.)
Goblin Fox: Kitsune attributes her long life to making life difficult for others. After being assigned to an action where she does not inflict physical, mental, social, or spiritual harm to someone, she must cause harm or take a personal action on the subsequent turn. Examples of "harm" include violence, theft, sabotage, a PR attack, or other malicious behavior.
Goblin Fox is active this turn!
I wouldn't be opposed to it. That's in part why I have renting out the PMC as our martial action - we will need some extra funds on hand in order to take certain actions that cost funds next turn.Maybe next turn we should develop Civilian AI for Doofrassic Park. Two birds and one stone.
@Arathnorn I have a couple of questions. The first is where is Environmental Adaptations in the action list? The second is what would it take to get Janus Lee to agree to Dinosaur Weapon Platforms?
I think based on the Goblin Fox trait, we are allowed to have Kitsune do this personal, but if she doesn't cause harm on the personal (probably requires an extremely high roll on the 1d100 for this to occur), she'll still be in Goblin Mode and will have to either cause harm or do a personal next turn as well. If we just have her cause harm directly, then I think no matter the roll result she would fulfill the requirement for the trait and be free to do whatever next turn.
Kind of like Jumba's Hungry for Science. When he's hungry, he can still do GalFed stuff just fine, but if we want him to be Sated, we need him to do a genetics or chaos action. Kitsune can keep doing personals just fine, but if we want her to do a national action, then she has to inflict some harm.
@Arathnorn Is my take on the goblin fox trait accurate? And if so, because going on a quest counts as a personal action by prior WoG, would that mean that if Kitsune is on Goblin Fox she could still be assigned to a quest? (Perhaps trying her best to cause harm during the course of the quest)
Would we be able to earmark funds to him down the road regardless of if we wanted him to vote for something?Janus Lee would agree to DWP in return for you performing Prevent Unattended AI this turn or earmarking 3 Funds for future New Man project (lose 3 Funds, Janus recieves +10 to his next roll with the relevant Personal)
For clarification sake, Is it chaos, or causing harm? Or are they kind of interchangeable for Jumba and Kitsune.Quests could potentially count as well but be warned- she will get her chaos one way or the other.
