On Thread Etiquette:

I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

Please endeavour to be cordial. :^)

That's a very nice eye. Can't wait to see how it affects both crafting and combat. Guess we can still just make the magesight eye and swap them when doing relevant research?
3 charges for deep magic anvil is interesting.
MRune of Thungni is very nice. I'm going to assume she's oathbound until Thungni leaves. If she starts teaching it at the rune house that's going to be interesting in people's views.
Also I guess we'll have to wait another turn before we get to see Snorri make a flashy entrance with his new gear.
Edit: also interesting to see 5b gronti will be based around a core. And I guess we're still probably 2-3 stages off MRune of Kingship.

This was one hell of a research turn.
Elder Dolgi's racks on racks of hooks and pulleys
Wait, whats Dolgi working on? I was expecting feathers and stuff.
The binding was a fluke, perhaps one you may be able to one day recreate, but ultimately a fluke nonetheless.
Hot take, a significant portion of lost Runelore from the Golden age was weird shit that no one ever succesfully replicated and just assumed that the creator knew what they were doing.

E:
Er is it just me or does that sound awfully similar to the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception in effect? If I'm reading it right I pity our enemies and am now mildly intimidated by Snerra because that is grade a bullshit right there 😅
Yeah but only for making shit.
These are the Mystic eyes of Beardling-fuckup Perception, an oddly useless trait, as everything a beardling makes is a fault.

Thinking about the eye, I wonder if Snerra's next flex could be to compress that combo into a master rune and then simplify it into a regular rune, basically making something superior to a ring of forged eye that more injured dwarves can benefit from.

She did want to make sure the most dwarves possible could benefit from prosthetics after all.

- Action Unlocked! Reverse Engineer the Master Rune of Thungni?
Missed this on my first read through. I'm up for going all in on this next turn regardless of any optimisation. And it might synergise with the question/riddle we got from Thungni if we do that at the same time.
3 charges on the Anvil. We do need a new axe...
No standout ideas or materials for our other weapon yet. We're likely to see those charges used on the capstone Gronti tbh.

We can now break things just by glaring at them. Snerra you beautiful girl, I love it. Reminds me of Shatter Point from Star Wars.

Wonder if we can slap a Rune of Siphoning on the Anvil? Could give it additional charges.

The intersection of Dwarfs that would benefit from the Shatterpoint, Dwarfs that can afford a Runework of this caliber and Dwarfs that are missing an eye is very small.

Welp... so much for the notion of getting mage sight. Unless.... @soulcake would Snori be willing to replace his still fleshy eye with another arcane creation or would that be OOC? I ask not because I am not grateful to Snera, but because I am greedy. :V
I think that prosthetic basically gives us antimage-sight.

Also @soulcake I think there might have been an error on your math.

Action Unlocked! Reverse Engineer the Master Rune of Thungni?

Nope. We were not chosen worthy. I'm in favor of leaving this option be.

This incarnation would probably work as a regular Rune. Forgive me its been a while since I last read on the circumstances behind my rationale, but IIRC one Rune was fine for all the other cooking Runes, it didn't need to be a master Rune. A Master Rune would be making good food on its own sort of deal, or turning meals especially nutritious ala Lembas. Though I have to wonder if the latter is ever something a Runesmith would consider going through the effort of making.

@soulcake Is that a no on The Rune of the Unchained Oven then? I'm a bit confused here, it's not like the idea of it being a master rune is all that important.

Or did I miss this rune already existing?

-- Combo, Fracturesight: [Master Rune of Thungni (???), Rune of Forged Eye (???), Rune of Smednir (???)] Errors in creations are made apparent to the user, on command the eye glows and causes the faults and mistakes of an item before it to become more and more evident to the point that it can fail completely. Magical enchantments falter or find themselves undone entirely.
Snorri can now literally glare at shoddy work and have it break apart in foolish apprentice's arms.
Now literally all non-dwarven magic counts as shoddy work, too.

So thoughts on all the gains from this turn.

First, it's becoming apparent that we're going to need the t5 rune metal for the completed version of the MBrotherhood and the memory MRune. It'll take 3 actions to finish the next stage of rune metal.

Akazit is now one turnable with 5 actions.

The windsight combo can just be tossed onto a talisman instead of the eye tbh. Not like the windsight combo is going to be used for combat anyway.

It sounds like we're going to spend an action for at least 2-3 turns campaigning? If so it'll be tricky to fit akazit/rune metal/mind neatly. Unless we take this turn to rampage far enough to leave the throng to mop up a few turns then come back.

Edit: Actually if fracturesight works like I think makerstrike does, aka it's judgement of what's worthy is based on itself, namely a work of legendary quality, anything below Runelord level is going to have a bad time.
