Other than him trying to commit toon genocide? Very well, I'll change it.
"Self-loathing" means a level of internal conflict relating to his decisions and actions that Doom simply doesn't have. It's the wrong word to use entirely.

Look at it this way. Doom's shtick as an anti-toon politician is just that: A shtick. It was meant to give a legitimate (if controversal) face for Doom's business and political ambitions. He follows through with this character, commiting injustices against toons and further marginalizing them. This leaves his enemies none the wiser to the fact that he acts that way performatively. If the public discourse turned against his current policies, Doom could veer away from that "flaw" when it stops being profitable. It'd be a calculated move to throw his rivals for a loop while Doom finds another means to express his sadistic urges.

Maybe he'll start a smear campaign against mad scientists instead?

Doom doesn't have any self-hatred. He genocides Toons because Toons were/are a target with precious few advocates. He doesn't hate Toons, anymore then he hates everyone, he's a sociopath who would take any opportunity to hurt people and went for a discriminated-against minority group because they made for an easy target. At the end of the day, as I understand, he's not a true believer: His goal is to hurt people and Toons were the group that seemed easiest to go for.

[X] Edna Mode (Hard Diplomacy check)

I think getting this firecracker on board just might be worth it.
Or at the very least, it could give Mirage some closure.

Your first hint that something might be wrong was when the ambient temperature seemed to drop several degrees. Your second was the sickly sweet stench of formaldehyde that wafted over the table like a breeze through a morgue. A moment later, a swirl of black cloth took Shego's seat at the table.

"Good evening, everyone." Judge Doom intoned.

Don't you love how over the top Judge Doom is even when people have no idea what he really is.

My interpretation (and I'm aware it's the interpretation that the QMs aren't working with, but until it specifically comes up in the thread I'm just gonna stick with my idea) is that Doom's hatred of Toons comes from his own insane, twisted version of comedy/the Toonforce that he runs off of.

Basically, it's a joke. You have this terrible, hideously racist man who executes, tortures and oppresses Toons in the most violent and terrible way….and surprise, he's actually a Toon himself! That's the punchline! He's a terrible sadistic person towards Toons who does everything in his power to ruin their lives, but he is a Toon! Hahahahhaha!

Obviously to a sane person that's terrifying instead of funny, but in Doom's fucked up mind it's gut bustingly hilarious.

So someone on the Discord brought up that we might get a lead on the murderous Toon by talking to Doom, especially with our current intrigue in this scenario. So, my second vote is officially

Need to have both votes in one post for the tally to count it. Unless you meant to vote for just one option, anyway.

[X] Edna Mode (Hard Diplomacy check)
[X] Dr. Drakken (Medium Diplomacy Check)

Going Edna because, well, Edna, and Drakken could give us some hints as to what Shego's been up to and/or good collaboration ideas for them.

[X] Dr. Drakken (Medium Diplomacy Check)
[X] Edna Mode (Hard Diplomacy check)

I wanna see what Shego pulled out of the Wasteland and I just love Enda Mode. Plus, I'd rather not touch Doom with a 39-1/2 foot pole in a situation where he might very well have the advantage.

well, looks like Silvermen has somehow fallen behind Drakken, a sad thing, but im ok with Amara as well, so long as Edna is the other winner.

[X] Liv Amara (Medium Diplomacy Check)
[X] Edna Mode (Hard Diplomacy check)

Ah, good to know thanks.

On an entirely unrelated note, I think we should also send out a singles ad across the multiverse!

Something like "kooky-but-in-a-cute-way mad scientist looking for single eldritch women".

Not only would this get Doof into the dating game - it will likely help counter Bill Cipher as well!

Plus, while Shego is thus far proving a strong contender I know some people were dissatisfied with the possible age difference, and this would give us some dating options.

Not to mention Doof is a real catch - we gotta at least make give Shego a contender and make her work for it. :D
Bumpin' an old idea I had a long while back - now that Vanessa's off to college aka the kid's out of the house, what say you all that we get Doof back in the dating game?

I can't see anything going wrong with this.
Guys count yourself lucky we got Miley, we almost got Hatsune Miku instead...

I wish I was joking.
Apparently this has been sitting in my quotes, but I don't get it.

So... why are people voting for Drakken? Liv can probably get us some helpful work on Genetics, superpowers, and maybe even dinosaurs (due to genetics). Drakken's just a follow-up to Shego's adventures in the Wasteland and a quest that we mostly cared about because of Hego. Am I missing something?
