To be fair, it would seem likely for a crit fail to render the action undoable. Say, Alan ends up deleting the files.
Hard to say if the crit fail would prevent the action from being taken again.

We had 4 CF before this turn (The 3 from the all crit turn and Mad science)
- Company retreat (can only be taken once a year on the Jan/Feb turn, since it can only be taken 1 a year hard to say how that would have interacted with something like the experiment)
- Improve DoofOs Security (transformed into Restore DoofOs security, basically the same action but might have counted as being gone for effects like this experiment)
- Research Superpowers (still available just higher DC)
- Mad science (we got to chose to keep Lovemuffin or not, had we kept them Mad science would have still been an option)

Well there have been some good arguments for the duplicinator.

But I just can't bring myself to vote for it. It could go so badly.

So to compromise I've removed my vote for the ice one.

Do as you will. Be it upon your heads, either glory or ruin.

Yeah, that is a decent argument. I'm still voting for the MirageQuest because that one is way more interesting for me. I feel the narrative that will spawn from it will be more fun.

Confirmed by Discord: we only get one turn per Inator. If we reject Mirage Quest now, we're never getting it.
We can make an Inator that lets us pick one of the Inators we've picked, rolled, or potentially could roll, in order of power. Or just make another Inator just like that one but reflavored. Maybe a Freaky Friday type.
Possibly unique national rolls? (Need confirmation)
Next turn, Mirage is in charge of DEI! King stats and National Actions will be changed to reflect this!

For some reason what you wrote fried my brain, but regardless, thank you for pointing that out! So far, I see more net benefits to On-Ice to Dup.

[X] The On-Ice-inator! Doofenshmirtz cryogenically freezes himself for two months as a proof of concept. Next turn, Mirage is in charge of DEI! King stats and National Actions will be changed to reflect this!

This post summarizes the last time we got the all crit turn. We crit failed 20% of all of our actions, and that's after taking out one of the crit fails from the calculation!
We got a Critical success on 80% of our actions, and you're calling that a BAD thing? when other Kings critfailed 40-50%? That's a major boost.

It is a nice little boost, but nothing major. NOW HER INTRIGUE ON THE OTHER HAND!!! (see above)
Her intrigue is kind of irrelevant. We have ONE free Intrigue action next turn. Monogram and Wile E. are taking the others (unless the actions are gone, and I can't see more than a 50% chance of that happening to one, much less both, at most) and they're pretty guaranteed to fail even with Mirage at the helm. We can't leverage her intrigue the way we can Doof's Learning.

EDIT: As for the "Doof Frozen while Vanessa goes to College" thing, College starts in September, so I assumed we'd send her off to college next turn. Apparently not?

...just calling attention to something people seem to have forgotten.

THERE ARE NO RED TITLES!!!!!

so, nothing extremely bad. at most, a lot of paying, but no life threatening stuff.
As a reminder, we have NO OBLIGATION to color code every vote you may or may not make. Assuming every option that isn't painted bright red is safe or "not that bad" is, frankly, a horrible idea.

You are supposed to read the text and make choices accordingly. Not comb through it for color formatting/typos and vote based on that. I'm shooting that idea down now.

The six actions in the first quote are all ones that would have crit without the Crit-Inator. So the crit inator can only claim credit for three critical successes, and two critical failures. It is rather amusing that both of the critical failures caused by the crit turn would have been bare failures otherwise.

So, the results of the turn can be is as follows:
36% unmodified critical successes
27% modified critical successes
9% marginal progress
9% unmodified critical failure
18% modified critical failure

I would not say that the three critical successes outweighed the 2 critical failures.

We don't normally have so much natural crits in one turn. We choose this actions that turn specifically because we had Probabilitinator activated, hence they are too direct consequence of inator. If on Mirage turn we choose similar low level actions in Learning and Martial, but don't receive our due crits from them, then it is justified to count those additional crits as benefit of probabilitiinator.

Okay. so. Here's our current Slate, along with chances of successes on Doof and Mirage Turns (Green actions are LOCKED:

Remember that we would have the Research collab with the Imagination Institute so our other Learning action is not open.

For Monogram imagining that the DC went to 175 (for the example) so CF on a 87, Monogram would have a base roll of 53 (without XP), so with XP he would have 1 in 4 chance off Crit failing, bad but not guaranteed.

For Occult since its DC 48 the Critical Fail is on 24. Gomez base is 5 (Mirage learning 1/2) + 11 (Gomez) + 1 (loyalty) + 10 (XP) = 27. So only crit fail on a 1?

In a normal turn we would decide that a normal success on a higher DC action would be worth more than those crits.

They cannot be counted as benefits from the probabilinator due to their unmodified nature. You will note that I did not count Jumba's critical failure against it.

Err...

There is a mistake.

--[x] [Diplomacy] Form a Research Agreement with the Government: With the Imagination Institute (Goofy)

The locked government action is Learning, not Stewardship.

The research collaboration with the Zaibatsu was this:

—[X][Diplomacy] Form a Research Agreement with the Zaibatzu (Goofy) (CoS: 46%, 56% w/ XP) (which we did in March/April 17)

This led to this:

--[x][Learning] Form a research agreement with a Zaibatsu: Research AI (Wendy Wower) (Collab) (which we did in May/June 17).

Learning is likely all locked up by Alan+Government collaboration, but Stewardship is completely free.

EDIT: Well, never mind.

Well, Our Intrigue (2 out of 3), Learning, and Occult actions are Locked for this turn. What are people hoping for on Martial, Diplo, and Stewardship?
