Look at it this way, as long as L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N. doesn't get a natural 1, they should at least roll over 50 on that due to Doof's learning being 38, their learning being like 8 with the loyalty tank, and the XP boosting that by 10.
And, if they get a nat 1...Well, then there's nothing we could do about that, Inator or no.

When you say it like that... how do our non-Hero units feel about this whole thing? It's gotta be super weird, right?
It's noted in Janus's inner monologue back when he met Shego that even he, one of our employees, finds our corporate structure to be...Questionable. But, yeah, it is super weird, but, then, in a world where Toons, talking animals, superhumans, and such are all matters of public knowledge, I imagine it goes down easier. Sure, it's weird, but, hey, our benefit package is one of the better ones out there, not that that's saying much in a setting this cyberpunk.

Aww...I missed the vote. Unfortunate. But when I look over the plan, it's still fine. I'm glad we wound up switching off of Supervillainy, we already know we've got at least one sky pirate who's planning on coming after us in the future. Who knows, Demona might wind up deciding to come after our employees in retaliation for us foiling her plans. For Diplomacy...I'm glad we're getting Juniper, but I'm a little disappointed we're reaching out to Evelyn instead of Shere Khan. Oh well. Good to see we're focusing on the Security update, though I'm admittedly a little irritated that we're spending time on a retreat as opposed to doing something else for our finances. Did MiH say we could only do the retreat this turn or something?

I don't have any problems with the Intrigue choices, or the Learning ones. It ought to be interesting to see how Lovemuffin handles starting up a space program admittedly. In addition, glad to see we're getting the Crystal key over and done with. As for personal actions, I'm fine with what we wound up going with. Although I am admittedly curious about why we had Marco train with the ninjas instead of Macbeth, since he can train with the ninjas anytime and Macbeth isn't on our payroll.

I doubt Demona will come after us- there's actually relatively little to tie us to 12th night. Both Kitsune and Tom are hidden, Janna only really showed up as Lord Felldrake, Marco was not affiliated with us, and Lizzie is the only one who might be connected to us. I think the assumption was that the retreat was this turn only, though we should have asked, and I think Evelyn is because we feel like it. I think we're basically ceding power to Shere Khan for now?

As for Marco, I think the red text was scary, and we wanted to tie Marco closer to us, instead of having him train with someone else.

Red text scary. Marco learning good ki could help him survive that.

Beyond that silliness, Marco could stand to master his mystical martial art properly before being trained in whatever Macbeth trains him in for better results. I think it's fairly safe to assume Macbeth will survive this turn.

I know Macbeth probably does not like the huntsclan, but they might have a vested interest in keeping him alive because of the prophecy if they found out about it. It would be great if we could use them as a meat shield for him

I'm pretty sure that Macbeth is bound to stay alive by the same prophecy as Demona, meaning that one will have to kill the other. I haven't seen Gargoyles though, so I may be wrong on the details.

The Huntsclan learning about that prophecy's contents are plenty valid to just let him be, and there are the downsides of having Macbeth and any of his monster contacts messed with by the Huntsclan if they were convinced to do anything major, nevermind that in-character Doof isn't likely to come up with that not want to deal with the Huntsclan.

The fact that the Canmores are now involved with the Huntsclan makes an alliance with MacBeth unlikelier.

In canon their awareness of MacBeth is vague at best. Critically, they don't know about the soulbond immortality clause that requires MacBeth's participation for Demona to be slain.

Meanwhile, MacBeth is very aware of their existence and probably feels little love for them. The first Hunter murdered MacBeth's father as part of his assassin side job, on the orders of the second Hunter (MacBeth's cousin) and MacBeth's first death happened as a result of a literal backstab from the third hunter, who also went on to kill MacBeth's son.

There may be shared interests, but I don't see old man McDuff being in any hurry to partner with that gang.

Ironically, the Canmores have no idea about how far their lineage goes or how their intertwined history with Demona binds them to Macbeth as well. They've simply been trying to "kill the demon" and other gargoyles for generations with the reason for their eternal vendetta being lost to time.

Macbeth himself is something of a blindspot to them and I don't recall them ever meeting one another in canon. I'd argue it's something of a missed opportunity, but who knows if they would have got around to having them butt heads if the series continued?

MacBeth was uninvolved in the events of Hunter's Moon, so he never actually met onscreen with the modern Canmores. Whether he knows of them or has met them at some point is unknown to the best of my knowledge.

There is the part in City of Stone in which MacBeth dons the Hunter's mask himself as part of a disguise, I guess, but that doesn't require any particular knowledge of the latest generation of Canmores.

Inators:

(Good) Jimmy-The-Lock-inator:
On a failed intrigue check, reroll with the hero units' martial score.

(Bad) Lock-The-Jimmy-inator:
All non-combat martial checks require the hero units' to pass an intrigue check as well.

All right, so before you all take a look here, just a reminder that the exact same thing is going to happen to every other person on the rest of the planet, only most of them don't know it's coming.

[X] Build Roof-Mounted Laser Cannons (Wasabi)
DC 95 (Reduced by XP)
53+20+26+20+2=121
Critical Success!

Despite his personal fear of heights, Wasabi was more than up to the task of putting together your desired defenses. With settings from stun all the way to cooked goose, the heart of your power is now secured against rampaging ant armies, or robotic hoplites, or all the other weird things the universe seems to like throwing at you every few months.

The DC to attack Doofania proper via martial action has increased by 15!

[X] Recruit from your Rolodex: Juniper (TECHNOR)
DC 60 (Reduced by XP)
67+18+23+4=112
Critical Success!

TECHNOR, the Mechanical Man, is overjoyed you have accepted his references! Juniper starts as a soloist in your weekly musical numbers tomorrow, and will be on call if you need any other unexpected villainous or dance based problems dealt with.

Juniper has been recruited as a hero unit!

[X] Reach out to Evelyn Deavor (Goofy)
DC 55 (Reduced by XP)
89+18+28+5=140
Critical Success!

To be continued in Interlude: This is Rat Country

[X] Host a company retreat (Roddy Blair, King of Lairs)
DC 65 (Reduced by XP)
6+24+29+5=64
Critical Failure!

As you step out of the plane, you are very excited to see what Roddy cooked up for you and your dozens of employees. Apparently he's booked you a conference 'somewhere he hoped would bring back good memories', whatever that means. Oddly, the plane seems to have landed in a grassy field instead of an actual airport. Oh well. You breathe in, and take in the intoxicating scent of pickled herring and… doonkleberries. Oh no.

"I just got away from here!" Malifishmertz screams, manifesting out of your family ring with a look of indignant fury on his face. You understand the feeling. Looking out towards the town, you can see the customary angry mob headed in your direction. In the corner, Roddy's confusion is slowly giving way to horror.

Due to a miscommunication and a series of absurd coincidences, Roddy Blair has booked your employees an all-expense paid trip to Drusselstein's one and only convention center! ...field. It's an empty field. Your heroes take -10 loyalty until the end of the July/August 2017 turn.

[X] Improve DoofOS Security (Alan Bradley)
DC 130 (Reduced by XP)
51+24+26+20+5+2=128
Personal Attention Reroll: 35+24+26+20+5+2=112
Critical Failure!

You… you don't know what happened.

Up until a few days ago, the work on DoofOS was going swimmingly. This morning, Alan walked into your office to inform you that the firewall had failed catastrophically, and you should expect the cyber attacks to continue with no plausible means of halting them. He took full responsibility for the disaster, saying only that the catastrophe was the fault of his own decisions.

To be continued…

[X] Infiltrate a Hotspot: Cape Suzette (Mirage) (95% w/ XP)
DC 55 (Reduced by XP)
76+17+28+5=126
Critical Success!

Mirage had little trouble inserting herself into Cape Suzette, as the city's status as a world port means humans in town for business is not an unusual sight. A few greased paws here and there, and you now have a hand in the heart of the Baja, and a few moles as well. Seems like the big notes on the board at the moment are ongoing raids by Air Pirates on Khan Air shipping lanes, and the ongoing predator prejudice protests. You can expect regular updates.

Expanded Rival Reports for Cape Suzette unlocked!

[X] Infiltrate a Hotspot: Las Vegas (Agent Russ) (96% w/ XP)
DC 65 (Reduced by XP)
63+17+38+5+7=130
Critical Success!

To be continued in Interlude: This is Rat Country

[X] Study the SHV 20905 Plans (Ludivine)
DC 80 (Reduced by XP)
Absent Minded activates!
Work on Climate Controlled Environments instead!
DC 100 (Reduced by XP)
87+38+40+4=169
Critical Success!

Ludivine set out to build a working prototype of the Shiva device, only to realize that she wanted a superior Clean Room in which to construct the rare and delicate machinery required. Then she decided she wanted it temperature regulated. One thing led to another, and before you knew it the two months were up and Ludivine had a complex capable of withstanding the vacuum of space.

Research options unlocked when the proper requirements are met! The rewards for Genetically Engineered Crops are slightly increased!

[X] Research superpowers (Dr. Jumba Jookiba) (99% w/ XP)
DC 110
1+38+38+30+3
Critical Failure!

To be continued in Interlude: Katastrophic

[X] Study the Crystal Key (Malifishmertz) (99% w/ XP)
DC 40 (Reduced by XP)
90+4+18+3=115
Critical Success!

Malifishmertz has seen Crystal Keys before, and had no problem writing up a quick summary of how they work and what they do for you. He even sketched out a means by which, through the cunning use of frog's toes, you might keep the portal open for long periods of time. Then, because he had an extra week, he even set up an easy means of recording the universes you visit for ease of later reference. All you need to do is bring back a bit of rock or metal from whatever places you visit. This is just what you needed. Putting this into a larger device now will be child's play!

The DC of the Other-Dimensioninator has been reduced by 80! It will grant you access to (random) planes full of all sorts of valuable goodies and potential resources!

[X] Start the Doofenshmirtz Evil Space Program (L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N.) (76% w/ XP)
DC ???, higher result means higher initial success
19+38+14-2+10=79
Marginal Progress

L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N., in all their infinite wisdom, decided that the best way to jump-start your space program was to form their very own rocket! The craft was masterfully constructed out of an old fridge with a rocket booster attached, and some parts stolen from a nearby playground in lieu of a nose cone. The monstrosity made it approximately one thousand feet off the ground before being blasted into pieces by your laser defense grid coming online. The debris fell to the ground and set Rodney's company car on fire. It's not all bad, though! L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N.'s thankless interns have fortunately filed all the paperwork with the government, making sure that they don't suspect you of firing off nuclear missiles or anything and allowing your work in the space program to continue unhampered.

You did not go to space today.

Evil Space Program Progress Level: At least the paperwork is filed…

[X] Personal Attention: Improve DoofOS Security

As seen above.

[X[ Tell Shego you Broke Reality
52

To be continued in Interlude: Ego

[X] Major Francis Monogram (Reorganize OWCA (150/250))
39

Monogram continues to make slow but steady progress, and says he expects to be finished, at minimum, by the time the year is out. He seemed to say this with a bit of wistfulness, but you decided to let it drop, mostly because it was at that moment the plane landed in Drusselstein and then you had bigger problems.

(Reward: 189/250)

[X] Temujin (Study science and technology)
43
Temujin has been making progress in his modernity studies, and while he hasn't accomplished anything truly significant he is definitely displaying signs of improvement.

(Progress revealed: 107/200)

[X] Wile E. Coyote, Genius (Look through ACME's records)
20

Coyote was unfortunately unable to find anything but a headache in the monsterous mess that is ACME corp's filing system.

[X] Norm Prime (Try to become a Real Boy)
54

With no major tasks, Norm continued wishing his fervent wish to be a real boy. You decided to check on him one day and found him spitting out a sheet of old-fashioned printer paper saying
10 print "Boy howdy do I want to become a real boy."
20 GOTO 10

You're feeling something that you think might be… pity? Or possibly indigestion. You'll need time to be sure.

Your do some introspection about Norm personal action is now (slightly) more effective!

[X] Hego (Try Talking to Shego)
18

To be continued in Interlude: Ego

[X] Dennis the Duck (Train with your Instructor)
43

[X] Vanessa (Help your weird ghost uncle move in)
60+10=70

To be continued in Interlude: Housewatering Party

[X] Janna Ordonia (Spend time in NYC)
[X] Queen Lizzie (Spend Time In NYC)
[X] Tom Lucitor ( Spend Time In NYC)
[X] Kitsune (Spend time in NYC)

Exhausted after their bout fighting gargoyles, these four spent a relaxing few weeks in New York City recuperating.

[X] Tobe and the Vagabond Ninja (Look for a Ninja Master)
83

To be continued in Interlude: The Cold Shadow

[X] Janus Lee (Spend time with your coworkers)
100

To be continued in Interlude: Katastrophic

[X] Wendy Wower (Study Kronos AI)
15

Unfortunately, Wendy ran afoul of some unexpected copyright protection on the Omnidroids you recovered for her. The explosive kind of copyright protection. She's all right, but definitely not any more knowledgeable for the time being.

[X] Marco Diaz (Train with the Vagabonds)

The Nat 100 and Nat 1, in a a turn where everything is one step better and one step worse are being resolved at the same time.
What the heck is gonna happen now!?

Oh dear, that -10, that leaves at LOVEMUFFIN at -50 loyalty right?

Hopefully this doesn't be the case, but I feel like I should note that hypothetical scenario in accepting Toffee's deal resulted Janna leaving due to a loyalty malus of -50.
