So do you want me to remove asking about this entirely, or are you suggesting Canun also be present? Or are you suggesting we ask now and also follow up with Canun?

Hmm....I would suggest to talk with Canun and Atomu in an off-screen section where we introduce the two and let them know what Cannai asked for blah blah, and then in a sub-bullet ask Canun if he had any ideas along what you had written.

Would it be possible to reword this so Hazou a) asks for more information on the Yakuza (IE who they are as people, instead of as faceless scum); and b) reads the information himself? It might be a good idea to ask one of our other ninja (esp. Atomu, Reo, or Mai) to do this instead, if Noburi's going to be working on helping Yuno. With an emphasis on them not killing/injuring them in order to do so, ala Haru's actions.

Side note: Kagome's birthday. Custom seals probably won't be viable in a month with Hazou's injuries and duties, but comissioning something chocolate-related, like what Oneiros suggested earlier, would probably be viable given how much of it we own. I will add that while a chocolate scroll is a bit ephemeral (and I'm not fully sold on the symbolism of it being a scroll), it's not a terrible idea, and other ideas like a chocolate sealing array or a chocolate statue of Kagome are also good ideas. Maybe for now we can take stock of our supply and try finding someone who's got experience working with chocolate?

We'll probably have to involve Noburi for the transplantation surgery and there are easier ways to steal them, but what the hell. At least another dimension will provide plausible deniability.

Reo has outlived most of his relatives and doesn't talk about them much. You get the impression they died in the line of duty. He has a younger sister who was born without chakra reserves, the shame of the family until it made her the only family he had left.
No current romantic relationship; raising the subject seems to make him uncomfortable.
The estate genin respect Reo as a veteran, sometimes gruff and unapproachable, but reliable and a good source of advice.
Nothing to add about the other chūnin that he doesn't think you know already.
Reo gives you a weird look when you ask if he goes on missions, as if unsure whether you're young and naïve, suffering from clan privilege, or both. He takes guard duty and extermination missions; occasionally, he joins his old comrades for a well-paying combat mission, as they know how to work around his limitations, but not too often because fighting with him is still a risk to their survival.
Mari finds Reo to be a private person who's difficult to read. She's prepared to take a more aggressive approach to learning his mindset, but advises against it as it could cause a lasting rift if he decided you were setting a social spec on him.

Getting information on who Haru's victims were and what they were like doesn't require a social spec anyways.

  • Akane had time to calm down but left anyways instead of trying to work things through? Hazo doesn't have time for someone who isn't determined to make things work.
  • Ask Mari to set Hazo up with someone looking for comfort and stress relief rather than complex philosophical fulfillment.
