Demona is still the bigger threat here, and even if she's known to fuck up thanks to her own actions...well we're not relying on narrative, we're relying on dice rolls here. And everything about her screams 'Boss stats'. Let's be where the main action is! This is Doofquest, not Xanaquest!

oh ya kitsune doesn't want to meet him.

[X] Hold the line

We actively tried avoiding Doom at the Gala because he seriously creeped us out...didn´t work out, because he *even more* actively hunted us down.

We were shook a bit but otherwise we made it out just fine.

So what I am saying is "face your fears and grow with them".

It still remains "Doofquest" even though we let Xanatos do the heavy lifting.

That focus on "other Kings are our rivals, so we have to one-up them at every possible turn" is admittedly grinding my gears.

Hope springs eternal, so here is a new attempt to persuade against "holding the line" with a little something from Xanatos' plans concerning the fight outside.

"My own Iron Gargoyles will be joining the fray soon enough. The NYPD has very good response times these days, or so I've been told. But yes, it will provide sufficient cover for tonight's operations."

It has already been a few minutes.

The NYPD should be showing up soonish, along with the Iron Clan combat robots, and that should pretty decisively swing the fight outside against Demona's forces.

I'm sorry but Major Kirrahe was mentioned, I simply cannot vote against holding the line when he is invoked. Even if there isn't a line to hold, and holding said hypothetical line was not needed, I would still fight tooth and nail to hold that line.

Dude, that's not even the logic they were going at. They weren't saying "we can't let Xanatos outshow us!" They were saying that we, as the guides of the main characters, should stay near the center of the action rather than the periphery. It is a line of logic I disagree with, but it has nothing to do with viewing every other king as a rival or the like.

Ye, what they said. I like Xanny and wish him all the best in his endeavours. I just wanna face the big boss rather than the minibosses.

Do you want kentucky fried civilians? Because not stopping the Pack will get us kentucky fried civilians.
I mean...Hyena only did that so our Heroes would do something rash that would create an opening for the Pack. Which is exactly what happened with Marco, because we give a damn. And she only did it once; didn't give a damn that her shot went wide.

So...with that logic...us heading inside would give them less cause to attack the civvies. The mafia and Huntsclan should be well known enough in their circles that they're not exactly the most compassionate sort.

Dunno...going from Xanatos´ wording the NYPD and the Iron Gargoyles he outsourced to them should be well underway, so even though those forces aren´t Hero Unit material, they should pose at least some resistance against Demonas goons.

(Possibly) final argument.

Watsonian.

Janna is making the call.

What would you say that she is likelier to do: stick around to protect some mobsters and civilians of the "too dumb to live" variety; or rush in to get a possible frontline seat to some spooky artifact voodoo stuff and perhaps help foil a Toffee-like immortal sorceress?

An earlier counter was that Xanatos has already foiled the plot against him, and here is the real battle not elsewhere.

The confirmed facts are few.
