I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

The only way that I see for us to witness this universe's version of, as you call, modern WHF is if this quest ends, and soulcake decides to make another that takes place in the aforementioned time period.

Considering many of our proposed ideas involves the Rune of Stone due to its metaphysical connection to Dawi, I personally think that Ties would give us an alternate research avenue for when we wish to make an improved version of Barak Azamar, in 100+ turns.

The hint is obvious. Snoori must research Ties so he gains a Rune of Beardgrowth to counter this grave injustice. Fire Scorches and Damages, Cutting is the exact opposite. Ties allows for loose whiskers to be reincorporated for a lusher Fuller Beard to truly Flex on the beardlings.

Jokes aside, Ties as a concept feels more like Snorri.

The posts about Fire convinced me on it. (Including the post that mentioned "Prometheus vibes"! That felt really cool, yeah.)

Fire is the smith's fuel and the shaper of metal. And the warm fire of the hearth, too. As a runesmith, a great worker of metal, and a member of Clan Winterhearth... how can I not go for fire?

Plus, this way, maybe we'll have a better idea of what exactly it was we did with both Zharrgal and Trollslayer earlier on.

Fire... fire's just great. So great. It's our weapon and our tool both. It's our heritage, in the form of Winterhearth, too. And maybe we'll finally find out why Valaya liked those fiery Hearthstones, too, later on when we finally take that research action. So much fire to research; so many things related to it. Getting more insight into fire would be very nice. Or, alternatively, if it's not insight but more research then that's also wonderful; because we've worked with fire a lot, and have some Hearthstones on hand, so we'll have a solid foundation to start from to get results from!

Ties can do many things, heck if we finangal the definition enough we maybe able to creat a rune communication system for all the holds.

Oh, right, had forgotten about this old thing. Now I really hope Fire wins, heh.

(Would be nice in the future if we work alongside the High Elves and their Dragons, with their dragon flame, but that's in an uncertain future. Meanwhile, I want to see the rune-concept that Gazul's associated with; fire. Fire in the dark, in the deep. Since we can't get all 3, I'm goin' with this one.)

Really, this is Snorri to a T. He cares. About Dwarves mostly, but he has a big old stubborn heart.

He used to have two, but then he turned one of them into super armor.
