No, I mean every circumstance because we don't have a focus and we won't be getting one for a long time. If only for the reason that the other Occult options are going to be easier and more valuable.

Maybe? Trait says occult checks, so it would have to be quests or occult national actions searching for it.1. On a non-Goblin turn, wouldn't Kitsune's oriental trait potentially be useful for finding the locations of other talismans?
A bit late, but I'd still like to follow up on this not-particularly-subtle hint that there might be more to the last phase of the auction than dismissing the specific details from our successful Intrigue checks, throwing literally all of our money at one item, and calling it a day.You now have a good idea of what a relative cost is when someone has a 'passing interest' and is 'fairly interested'. It's up to you how you think you should extrapolate that out for the big ticket items.
Vague interest: Minimum bid of 4, plebs lost out to Doof and Xanatos. There's a vague, general interest in the item. Beside you, you notice Xanatos studying the item critically. You doubt he'd be particularly put out if you managed to snag it, but it looks like he's at least considering the item simply because it likely contains spells he's never seen before.
It's going to be one of the hottest items of the night because a large number of people are interested in it - but without bidding wars on the table, that just means a lot of people are going to lose their bid on it. All we care about is what the peak interest in the item is, which is... unknown. But I haven't seen any specific reason any of the other players here would specifically go for the astral projection talisman, so I'm going to peg the talisman as having Normal Interest. All sorts of people around the auction are interested in the talisman. Everyone from Xanatos to the bowler hat man look at the talisman with interest, even that one weird redhead in the back row. This is going to be one of the hottest items of the night.
The only confirmed interest we have in the Morganian edition is Janna's and we fully passed this check. And I don't think Xanatos would pick the Morganian Encantus out of the two listed here. Given how many people are going in for the talisman and Merlinean encantus, with some of the Evil Attention probably going towards the witch's spellbook, we might not be contested at all if we bet on the Morganian edition. At worst, I expect a minimum bet should force us into a coin flip.Oh yes, this seems to be a very popular one. The dignified-looking British fellow in the bowler hat looks particularly interested at the mention of the 'Merlinian' encantus, and the weird magician guy with white hair next to him gets an elbow in the ribs. Janna looks like she's about to start salivating over the thought of the Morganian volume. Owen's posture shifts just a bit too, but you're not sure about which edition.
So you say when Sorcerer's Apprentice magic seems to fit Doof exceedingly well.If only for the reason that the other Occult options are going to be more valuable.
Are you even reading my posts? So you say when Sorcerer's Apprentice magic seems to fit Doof exceedingly well.
I am. I also see that what you're saying is conjecture.
Depends on the talisman. I mean, some of them like the Strenght one, the Speed one, and the Invisibility one would be major boosts to someone who can already use Ki blasts and is inhumanly tough and strong. So, I might as well throw this question out there.
How well does Ki training synergize with the Talismans?
We are hoping to get her job-shadowing Mirage, writers said that might be interesting, and she might pick up useful skills. The thing is, we were also told to put her on tasks and have her do interesting things so she could get some character development and become consequential. But if Vanessa's contribution to the situation is always "and Vanessa was also there," then that doesn't happen...
You know, I just now realized, Xanatos bought an infinite magical battery and a sword that can siphon magical energy, neatly side-stepping the problem of just the Star itself.I'm pretty sure Xanatos used, like... a real investment banker or something.
Unless draining it like that destabilizes it, causing it to release all of its power at once. If we hear New York is now a crater, we know who to blame. You know, I just now realized, Xanatos bought an infinite magical battery and a sword that can siphon magical energy, neatly side-stepping the problem of just the Star itself.
There is no reason to assume that any of them have experience in making a Catalyst. We do have a reason to assume that it would be difficult. One, if it was easy we Sorcerers would have more catalysts lying around as spares incase they lost their main catalyst. Two, for stuff like research alchemy, create magical defenses, and tarot readings we had simple information around to access or heroes who already were experienced to do it for us.I am. I also see that what you're saying is conjecture.
Maybe making a Catalyst would be exceptionally difficult with just general knowledge of what a Catalyst is for Janna or Kitsune.
They have personalized instruction in the form of the book.
Anyways, I'll be changing my vote to whichever Encantus has more votes.
That sounds like heresy. One, if it was easy we Sorcerers would have more catalysts lying around as spares incase they lost their main catalyst.
There has to be a market for getting Catalysts (after all, there's a demand for them), which the Encantus should also be able to direct us to.Two, for stuff like research alchemy, create magical defenses, and tarot readings we had simple information around to access or heroes who already were experienced to do it for us.
First of all, , second of all that is disingenuous, third do you think Morganians would give a fuck about that? That sounds like heresy.
