On Thread Etiquette:

I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

Please endeavour to be cordial. :^)

[X] My Home: The smell of baking stone bread, the cheer of dwarfs working hard and coming together. It is what pushes you forward. Great weapons to arm them, great armour to gird them, great knowledge to teach them, great stories to tell them. The reason no elder will ever tell their juniors why they tolerate their faffing nonsense.

[X] My Work: You cannot deny there is a thrill to being a Runelord, to the crafting to the research to the simple act of teaching. There is always more to learn, to explore and discover and pass on. Every experience, every action is always ripe for opportunities to improve and discover. If you could help it, you'd be learning and exploring until the world itself came undone.

So, in light of the amulet being something that can wait until after the wedding here is my idea of what to do in the next four actual turns.

-First turn;
Griffin torc's- 2(3) Snorri action
2(3) Snorri actions into Adamant research
Final Snerra Apprentice Action into the cloak commission
-Second turn;
3(5) actions into Adamant to finish it
2(3) actions into the cloaks commission
-Third turn;
5(8) Actions into the first set of armor
-Fourth turn;
5(8) Actions into the second set of armor
(#)=bonus actions from PLNO

So, while this might seem a bit crazy at first hear me out.

Firstly this wedding is going to be the last big event of the celebration of the underway completing/linking up so that also means it's going to be a huge event where we could score some Major reputation. Both for us and for Krakka Drakk as a whole. To me this means we should put our all into these commissions both for our benefit and for the Holds.

Secondly, these sets of Armor are going to be the first real things that Snorri/we will make with Adamant so I feel like it's rather appropriate if he/we go a bit crazy on them.

Edit: Thirdly, these sets of armor are meant to be worn by our King and his Heir so I feel like we should go the extra mile for their protection. Also the armor sets are going to be their personal armor sets for the foreseeable future until we feel the need to make them a new set for whatever reason.
While I do think we should put in more than one action for things like Armor for the King think that 5 actions for 2 different sets is a bit much. I'd be fine for 3 actions since that seems like a nice balance that also gives us some actions for other things like research or exploring.

Master Rune of Passage to help him outmanoeuvre and flank his enemies and then a combo of Dismay and Fear to really scatter whatever the hell he just completely fucked up.
Problem is that for Fear and Passage, we'd need to go for the lesser runes. Of the reagents required, we only have the troll's stomach.

This is what we have.
Things of Note:
Master Yorri's book of odd places:
A tome your master penned in his youth and sent to you. Full of odd places, written in his typical odd style, that you can visit and see if there's anything useful.
[Tier 5]The Greedy One's Heart: Popped out of its body by a swift hammer blow from Snorri Gift Giver. The heart beats endlessly even when it has long since run out of blood, a piece of something from when it still was mortal. A fragment of a troll that was.
[Tier 2] Griffon Brains x9
[Tier 2] Cockatrice Eye x1
[Tier 3] Stonehorn's Eye x1
[Tier 3] Stonehorn's Horns x1
[Tier 4] Bar of Adamant x1
And an unlimited supply of troll parts.

... Ack, Talisman's probably for probably-the-Prince's-sister. Well at least I got the armor and cloaks right. ><
Hmm, for Otrek at any rate, for his cloak maybe something using these runes.

*Passage, Fear, Dismay

Pop up out of nowhere, scare the shit out of the enemy, charge into them and send them flying? I like that.

Alternatively though, since it is a Banner -- wait. Snorri's cloak is treated as a Banner, but... "A cloak" sounds like the sort of thing that'd be a Talisman. @soulcake are the cloaks supposed to be Banners, or Talismans?

... Anyway. If they're Banners, we also could have them be something to rally the troops, or to defend the troops. Something to defend against Shooting attacks for example. Or to increase morale and rallying. Since, well, that's what banners are for.

Id personally want the Master Rune of Passage and then I'd settle for the 'standard' rune of fear and dismay. A big part of Otreks fighting style is manoeuvrability. Giving him something that will ensure swiftness and the ability to traverse any terrain would fit that a lot. The Fear and Dismay are secondary to that for me.

Problem is that we'd need to order the feather(s) and they take 1-2 turns to arrive assuming that nothing goes wrong.

Well they are just wavy cloth on people instead of poles. So I would say Banners. Talisman would fit better for headgear like crown or helms than it would cloaks.

*Armour

Not everyone uses incorrect AMERICAN spellings. :V e: Though Canada is a bad example of such a place given we tend to mix and match depending on the word haha.

Also on the no apprentice for a few turns to let us get those commissions done while also getting rune metal and other research done

Well actually the Clasps could potentially count as amulets right? That would be a way to combine the two. Like the loophole for weapon Runes on bolts and engineering Runes on the machines.

If there was a Rune of Swiftness I'd definitely go for that as well. Really give him the speed and traversing ability to get wherever the hell he wants to fuck up his enemies. It might leave him without backup unless his retinue of Huskarls also have something similar/it is a banner effect and applies to them.

Problem is that we'd need to order the feather(s) and they take 1-2 turns to arrive assuming that nothing goes wrong.
We've got 4-5 turns until these commissions are expected to be done. We order a thing a turn for the runes we need and then go all in, or maybe spend an AP or 2 bartering/requesting specific items then. We've got time to spitball these ideas and order in the regents we'd need.

Availability of the regents really only becomes an issue for T3 and up, and with the Underway being finished this turn we'd have a lot more reliability in getting the regents we want.

I personally think the rune of impact should be considered to replace fear or dismay, since the rune of impact is all about charging.

One note of interest as well is that there's a Master Rune of Dismay for talismans, but a lesser rune of Dismay for weapons which we could possibly use on a cloak, that has fluff text like this.

Article:
Rune of Dismay
- The uncanny glow of this rune is an awe-inspiring sight, apt to fill foes with dread.

Otrek being awe-inspiring would fit with the power of Trollslayer and his fighting prowess.

We can also burn favor with Otrek to get items here at least one turn faster if we want to. The Kingly Authority options.
