When Kagome said, "This is a sealing failure", he wasn't talking about circumstances. He was talking about what he believes is wearing Hazou's skin. He believes that Hazou is already dead, and he is by far the most qualified person around to make that call. The team has just declared sides in what is moments away from exploding into a bloodbath. Kagome, Keiko, and quite possibly Mari are about to try to execute Hazou. Nobori and Akane will try to stop them. Close-quarters ninja battle is not a place conducive to restraint, or survivors. One of the potential casualties is Kagome, so I would prefer that this didn't happen.
Nah, I'm pretty sure I'm right about this one. :p

So, something for the back-burner that I've been stewing on for a little while now. Remember that chakra megalodon that attacked us and almost killed us way back when?

I want a rematch.

Given our increased power and adding in some prepwork and I think we can pull it off, and that'd be cool bragging rights to have killed one of those beasties.

But it doesn't stop there. Once we kill it, we can extract the bones and assemble a complete chakra megalodon skeleton for decorative purposes. Taxidermy would be nigh-impossible for something that size, but you could make a big ol' statue-y thing out of such a skeleton.

I've got more, though. If we can find some basic puppetry techniques (certainly someone's tried to copy Sand before) and make a giga-sized storage seal, we could put the megalodon skeleton into the seal for a showy battle thingy. It wouldn't be much use for actually killing things, but it'd be very impressive to have Hazou touch a seal and suddenly there's an entire chakra megalodon skeleton and then our puppet technique kicks in and now it's moving around and it looks like Hazou's reanimated a megalodon skeleton to do his bidding. Again, not so useful in actual combat but if we want to look awesome I feel like it'd do a pretty good job, and every ninja needs some techniques to flaunt around and show off how awesome you are.

Obviously not something to do now, but I'm hoping we can find time for it someday. Not like the megalodon populations are going anywhere, after all.

Speaking of giga sized storage seals, we should ask Kagome how feasible bigger storage seals are. It would make our macerators that much better, giving us a much better chance to win.

I mean, I'm happy to trust him if he wants us to vote this -- and honestly, anything we make a plan for just now isn't anythin ghe can't come up with on his own. It's mostly "talk to the clan about things that are obviously things we should talk to them about because we're playing reasonable characters and not jounin" :p

Sounds good.

Reminder: you have not done any investigation/groundwork to find out whether anyone, including Keiko, is able, willing, and allowed to teach Akane the technique. You will note that it is currently taught only to jōnin and Keiko (who is not a jōnin, but whose various sources of influence (second-in-command of the Nara, KEI coordinator, summoner, sister of the Gōketsu Clan head) technically add up to make her one of the most important people in the village).

Reminder: anything put into a storage scroll either needs to be inherently durable (e.g. kunai) or stored in a reinforced container in order to survive the stresses of sealing and unsealing. Assuming the reconstructed megalodon fit in the scroll, you would be dramatically unsealing a very large box.

@Lailoken (or @OliWhail or @MadScientist i suppose) can shit check me on this, but its entirely possible (perhaps even quite likely) that the majority of the bones of a giant megalodon sized monster shark would fit into this category for some meaning of the word "durability".

(Aside: I am neither a materials science engineer nor a biologist, but you would be surprised at what can survive relatively minor to medium amounts of applied forces intact , so long as they're not super concentrated. )

You know, if Asuma wanted to make a contribution to his little competition from his position as hokage, this would be a good start...

Unfortunately for him, Keiko is already married.
I was uh. Referring to providing Shadow Clone more freely, though I may be too tired to pick up the sarcasm.

If he's gonna ask clans to give up their special techniques' OPSEC, the least he can do is give them and theirs reason to care.

That said, I don't think there's much cause for concern there re: our squad... the main problem with Shadow Clone getting out is worries over how it helps Leaf get stronger. If we already know about that part of it, it doesn't do much good to not let us learn it.

Less sarcasm than wilful misinterpretation, which is one of my favourite forms of messing with people. Which, come to think of it, is an alarming trait for a QM to have.

What a surprise, another potential family candidate who is completely screwed up. We should get Yuno and Aya to meet, I bet they'd get along swimmingly...

Lord Hazō, as he is called now, is too busy building his own village.

VOICES IN HAZOU'S HEAD: it's a secret plx dont tell anyone Satsuko
