A drabble I put together 'cause I was bored and antsy and trying to get back into writing. It's a thematic mirror to Another's Eyes.
Her Eyes
Kakara was not an angry person.
She understood more than most what damage it could do, what lives it could tear apart.
Oh, sure, she had the things that set her off, as most people did, but she was working past those. She'd gotten better lately. (...Other than that mountain that blew up.) She had gentled her fury through long, measured effort, until it was writ instead in a quiet determination threading through her being. Every fiber in her spoke, not in a scream, but in steady assurance,
Never again.
She had lived as best she could by principles that had been wrought in her. She had fought, in every sense of the word, for herself, for her people, and, for the past seven years, for Jaffur.
---
He had been so grating at first, turning away her small kindnesses, snapping at her every time she tried to help him. Had she been anyone else, she might have snapped back. But there was something in the way he spoke, that made him seem so...
...sad. To her, the scion of the Vegeta clan seemed more alone than she had ever been in her life.
And so she refused to fight him as he'd like, to bare her fullest strength against his. Not because she was scared of him, but because she was scared for him: of what he'd become, of who he would be at the end of it all.
---
And then it was over, and he was sealed away. She raged, for the first time, outside the throes of the saiyan transformation. Her mind burned in indignation and outrage at what had been done to her friend.
It took years to repair her relationship with her dad, and sacrifices on her part.
All the while, she was planning treason.
---
He still looked just as sad, the first time that Kakara projected into Jaffur's mind.
And he was, she realized then, the most lonely person in the world -- trapped inside his own head with only a window to the world left to him.
Her anger didn't burn, like it had that day so long ago. It smoldered, steadied her determination, and pushed her on. She would not let it control her.
---
He looked surprisingly good, the first time she saw him in the real world in years. But the thing that she noticed most was a hint of something she had not ever seen in him.
Hope.
---
When they had transitioned to blow through Dandeer's barrier, his intentions had shown clear to her. In that brief moment, with no intent to do so, she had made him hesitate, just for a moment.
And that was enough for her father to knock him out. It was her fault. But she didn't have time to think about that right now.

I don't know if this will overwrite my previous vote or not, but hey. I'm fine with...
Actually, you know what? @PoptartProdigy, you've incentivized the Oddball option too much. I really want to see that next Negaverse post, and it's compromised my tactical considerations. Please could we have it regardless of what wins?

[X] Fight on. You can still win this.
-[X] Keep going after Dandeer, in conjunction with Dandelor. She is as distracted as she is ever going to get. It'll mean getting past your father to do it, but you have the edge in speed; it should be doable.

Just to be clear, if the... ugh... flail vote wins, it is clear that by keeping Berra away it means all her bodyguards, right? It is just that he is the one unoccupied right now, but she won't pay attention to only him, right?

Let's get some more humor in here. I'm aiming for noncanonicity here, obviously...
Be advised, if you haven't viewed certain fan works, this will not make sense. But then, I think most of us have probably done so.
The Baleful Word
A rumored 'lost technique' associated with devotees of Piccolo Style, the Baleful Word is a potent, monosyllabic utterance reputed to strike terror and paralysis into the heart of any living saiyan, as though burned into the very blood of our race.
Along with many other techniques and events of uncertain authenticity, the Baleful Word is most frequently referenced in the Attestation of Rakkyo, compiled starting in Age 983 by that infamous trickster, humorist, and practical joker. Youngest grandson of Mato the Foremost, Rakkyo lived a long and colorful life, by the end of which none of the First Exiles were left among the living to directly contradict his reminisces about the stories told to him in his youth. While Rakkyo was not the first to speak of the technique, it is mentioned more times in his Attestation than in all other accounts of the heroes of lost Earth combined. For instance:
Article:
"-Day upon day, night upon night, did Mister Piccolo strive to instill in the boy that mightiest of secrets. For only the Divine Forebear could teach the boy that by which all the power of the foe might be set to naught, be he ever so terrible. Fiercely and with great cunning did the younger demon smite and bombard the son of Goku to unlock all his hidden power, and to engrave into his young spirit the dreadful simplicity of that single, Baleful Word..."
As we see in the above passage, the Baleful Word is often described as some hidden power unknown to Son Gohan, as though the failure to make good use of it in the battles of his early childhood was somehow a failing in his role as Mister Piccolo's student. The pre-Rakkyo references suggest that the divine Ancestor Gohan unlocked the mastery of the Baleful Word along with the dangerous, nigh-uncontrollable Super-Saiyan Two transformation in his fight with Cell, and wielded it against that monstrous foe. But in seeming contradiction to this, later portions of the Attestation make reference to Son Gohan's attempts to use the technique failing him later in life.
In keeping with some of the more esoteric customs of the Piccolo Stylist community, several of the great Piccolo Style masters have been rumored to know the Baleful Word. However, it has never been used in any tournament match or witnessed by third parties in a spar. Some say the most parsimonious explanation is that the technique simply does not exist. Others hold that it exists, but remains truly lost. Devotees maintain that the technique is not used in public combat for fear that the terrible Word might be learned by outsiders and wielded irresponsibly. Or that the masters dare not speak the Word in public, for the supernatural, inexplicable terror it strikes into the soul and blood of every child of the Ancestors now living is irresistible and would chill the very souls of innocent bystanders and spectators.
While seemingly unlikely, this is not impossible. It would be in keeping with the rarity and secrecy of the technique, and with the diligence with which the practitioners of 'Demon Style' guard some of their more exotic techniques to all who are not initiated in the tradition's mysteries.

[X] Fight on. You can still win this.
-[X] Try to get around your father and take down Vegeta before he returns to base form. If you can even the numbers, you can still salvage this.
[] Fight on. You can still win this.
-[] The Senzus can't reach Jaffur right now without turning into collateral damage. Focus on getting him to them for healing.
It doesn't really seem like you can win the vote so why not approval vote for both your current choice and this option:
[] Fight on. You can still win this.
-[] Try to get around your father and take down Vegeta before he returns to base form. If you can even the numbers, you can still salvage this.
Since it's closer to what you want to do then the currently winning vote.
