As with last time, I have zero interest in seeing Mathilde express a romantic interest in a large reptile, but I sense the Ice Dragon's day may finally come. I do wonder, though, if it treats Mathilde with arrogant contempt will that actually turn people off? Just because she expresses an interest does not mean the Ice Dragon will want to be her pal.
I think there's a reasonable (~50%?) chance that we will try to social the Ice Dragon and it just... won't work, it's not interested in socializing with a little shadow-being like us. Which would be a bummer! But it's tens of thousands of years old and seems to mostly be interested in sleeping.

Still, better to get closure on the matter than have it hang over the thread. And hey, if it is interested in socializing, making a dragon friend would be awesome.
There's 10 actions to spend before we leave, five of them are categorically locked on scouting and recruiting. Leaving five at most for other things, Melkoths and Robes are musts. Leaving three. Arcane mark control is a must as well due to drawing in warpstone and other toxic particles in the air towards Mathilde. The pall of darkness action is also another one we'd be crazy not to do and lastly a number of people have stated we should get at least one action in with the new style creation for our sword so that it's able to proc during adventures.

What do you cut from all of this to do the coins?
Eleven actions: 4 + 5 + 2. Of those, I'd say three scouting actions (High Pass is unnecessary), one recruiting action, one Arcane Mark, one Pall of Darkness, one Robes, one MMM, one Branulhune, leaving two flex actions, one of which can be coins and one of which can cover for other stuff (if MMM or robes takes longer than expected) or be used on, like, assassination training/Ranger stealth training/a second Branulhune action. Having Asarnil along covers for a multitude of sins.

But we don't need to sort all that out now. As I posted before, I think our T31 should look basically the same no matter what we plan to do later.

I like the Panoramia option the best, but we should give all of the others a fair shake as well.

I don't think Arcane Mark control is a "must" when the same goal (not breathing in awful things) could be accomplished by wearing a cloth over her nose and mouth to filter. I don't think pall of darkness is a "must" either, and one action one a sword style won't get us very far. So there you go, I think those three are easy to cut.

Guys I've found the philosophy we need to embrace in this thread, the way of life that Mathilde must make her own!

If it's a jerk then we just won't waifu it? A lot of people ask essentially this question, but they never follow it up; what are they going to do if the dragon does like us? Because mystically and intellectually we're actually pretty great, and those are the charm points we'd be leaning on in our interactions with the intensely logical archmage that we're discussing.

If it does like us... I still want a a romantic partner that Mathilde can have a satisfying physically intimate relationship with, to put it in the least crude way possible.

I'm for romance, well, romance with the idea of this person-who-happens-to-be-a-large-reptile, since we really don't know them.

To answer your question, I would find contempt to be off putting, yes. I for one do not be friends with assholes, never mind desiring a romantic relationship with them, and I would not vote for such for Mathilde.

Okay now remind me again how tight you think the weave of clothes created are because if you're expecting a face mask made of cloth from the technology level of the societies that Mathilde is dealing with I don't know what to say. Maybe I'm wrong but I suspect that clothe of the period would be useless for what you're suggesting for anything properly dangerous.

Pall of Darkness is now one of our best potential stealth abilities because it can be scaled up hugely to blanket an entire room in darkness due to our staff, if we can see through we can trivially make our enemies completely blind. You're right one action into the sword style wont give us any immediate benefit but it probably does mean it could improve in the expedition.

its not broken, That would your computers.

it works fine for me.
The site you hotlinked from doesn't allow hotlinking. However, if you've recently visited the site and seen it there, it will be in your cache and thus your browser knows to display it, which is why @ninjafish can see it and the rest of us can't.

Rehost it on imgur or Discord or something and then change the hotlink. It is a pretty funny image; I definitely exhaled more sharply than usual when I saw it.

How are we supposed to romance the ice dragon when the only language we share is incredibly fraught with interpretive minefields and also loaded with bad connatations for said ice dragon? I feel like we really shouldn't be poking this too hard.

"The silver savage from Sylvania!" You almost take offence to that, before realizing that it's what Ma-thil would translate closest to in Eltharin.
...when you realized Mathilde accidentally got the same elf-title as dwarf title through a language swap hijinks.
I'm almost pained that we have "Unseen but not unfelt" as our knightly motto when we could've gotten "Silence is silver"

I will support arcane mark control, it needs to be done to gain Grandpappy Kragg's approval.
