This option is obviously not going to be anywhere near as simple and straighforward as it's being presented to us, but unless we have to fight a Lord of Change or something it'll be worth it to secure good weather for the expedition.

Since we in the dragon faction have high standards, I will also add a new reason why dragon is the correct choice:
We saw that Deathfang is basically a giant cat. The ice dragon was pretty catty too. Mathilde is also a cat.
Get the cats together. Have a sneaky shadow cat on a flying ice cat. It's the right thing to do.

Also for fairness sake, we should just romance everybody at least once. I believe the dragon can show their superiority.

As with last time, I have zero interest in seeing Mathilde express a romantic interest in a large reptile, but I sense the Ice Dragon's day may finally come. I do wonder, though, if it treats Mathilde with arrogant contempt will that actually turn people off? Just because she expresses an interest does not mean the Ice Dragon will want to be her pal.

Does writing a book grant more reputation? I can intuitively see how stretching out discoveries would get more favours, but that same intuition says to me that writing a whole book on a subject instead would be better for your reputation.

I don't really care if it takes us a decade to sound out our romantic prospects, though I won't be upset if they win either.

Well it's a shame that we have so much less time than we thought we were voting for.

People thought that choices were 2/4/6 turns of full prep. They were actually half/two.five/four.five

There's 10 actions to spend before we leave, five of them are categorically locked on scouting and recruiting. Leaving five at most for other things, Melkoths and Robes are musts. Leaving three. Arcane mark control is a must as well due to drawing in warpstone and other toxic particles in the air towards Mathilde. The pall of darkness action is also another one we'd be crazy not to do and lastly a number of people have stated we should get at least one action in with the new style creation for our sword so that it's able to proc during adventures.

What do you cut from all of this to do the coins?

Speaking as a non-Dragonite shipper, there will be a hardened core who will not be deterred unless the dragon goes above and beyond with the jerkishness.

Of course, a ship can still be sinking even with a dedicated crew tending to it, I know that from experience...

If it's a jerk then we just won't waifu it? A lot of people ask essentially this question, but they never follow it up; what are they going to do if the dragon does like us? Because mystically and intellectually we're actually pretty great, and those are the charm points we'd be leaning on in our interactions with the intensely logical archmage that we're discussing.
