Look, if the dragon isn't supportative of Mathilde's ambition to become a strong, independent vampire lady, they don't deserve her!

And then we walk over the dragon's dead body and use our newfound power to bring back our beloved(Abel)~<3
There's more ways to be supportive of such than donating 100% of your own blood. I'm sure they wouldn't have objections to helping Mathilde do so to a Shard or Warpfire Dragon. Or start a collection.

Hmm... what would the result be if the dragon donated its blood a bit at a time? Maybe two pints once a week, in exchange for oranges and biscuits? Or if it donated all of it at once, but while under the effect of a healing spell that near-instantly replenishes any bloodloss?

Realistically? The blood does no good. As I understand it, warhammer vampires drink souls using blood as a medium. So either donating it cuts the needed connection, or he takes just as much damage.

It is a neat idea though, and I'd be all for Vampire Mathilde and her loving dragon house husband. Though I would insist that Mathilde gild her own blood so they can be precious-lifefluids-buddies.

Mousilion vampires are always depicted as using their peasants as live stock, and the rpg books often have 'covered in bite marks' as a character trait for those same peasants.

so people can survive being nom'd on, so 'drinking their soul' is a little much... live force?

Well...probably not to the same extent as literally sucking their soul out with a straw and becoming free of hunger, but I guess a vampire could be able to stay fed off the one dragon indefinitely.

This has no way to go wrong.

No, it just isn't quite as drastic as that sounds. Like calling it 'eating body parts' when they just mean the blood, I think? You can die from it, but you can also donate blood safely, so there's an equilibrium. If they don't eat enough of you you'll eventually get better.

Waaaghltzing Mathilde
Waaaghltzing Mathilde
Karak Eight Peaks (Undumgi traditional)

Once a grumbly wizard camped by a caldera
Under the shade of a big Gazul eye,
And she sang as she watched and waited till the soil boiled,
"I'll kill a Waaagh. Sing Mathilde, it me."

Chorus:
Waaagh sings Mathilde, Waaagh sings Mathilde,
I'll kill a Waaagh. Sing Mathilde, it me,
And she sang as she watched and waited till the soil boiled,
"I'll kill a Waaagh. Sing Mathilde, it me."

Down came a vampire to drink at that Elector,
Up jumped the wizard and stabbed him with glee,
And she sang as she shoved that vampire in her tucker bag,
"All for Van Hal" sings Mathilde, sadly.

(Chorus)

Up rode the wizard, mounted on her shadowhorse.
Down came the clandwarves, one, two, and three.
"Whose is that vampire you've got in your tucker bag?
You killed a Necrarch? Sing Mathilde, with me."

(Chorus)

Up jumped the wizard and sprang into the caldera.
"You'll never see me coming!" said she
And her shadow may be seen as you pass by that caldera:
"I'll kill a Waaagh. Sing Mathilde, it me."

(Chorus)

Alternate lyrics:
"Woe Sings Mathilde"

Once a shabby Skaven clan camped under a caldera
Until a shade of terror appeared,
And they sang as they twitched and cowered while the Chieftan died,
"Not-not a Beard-thing! Mathilde, to flee!"

Chorus:
Woe sings Mathilde, Woe sings Mathilde
Who's first for Woe, sings Mathilde to thee.
And they sang as they twitched and cowered while the Chieftan died,
"Not-not a Beard-thing! Mathilde, to flee!"

Down came the Shadow-thing, made of death and pure terror
Clan Mors and Moulder would probably agree...
And they sang as her shadow pierced their fearful hearts that day
"Not-not a Beard-thing! Mathilde, to flee!"

(Chorus)

Apparently, from my wikilink following:
Matilda, also spelled Mathilda and Mathilde, is the English form of the Germanic female name Mahthildis, which derives from "maht" (meaning "might, strength") and "hild" (meaning "battle").
Old High German, meaning mighty in battle.

More importantly, "Clan Mors, Eshin and Moulder probably agree" doesn't really scan (match the tune), even by my usual imprecise standards. :V

I don't remember if Mathilde took direct action against Eshin except for stealing all their correspondence.
We... intended to?

We went out to hunt down their sorcerer, only for him to flub his assassination attempt on the Council of 13 agent; we pushed into the Eshin mountain, right after they'd evacuated.

I... don't know if we ever actually attacked the Eshin. Huh.

That makes it even more politically awkward for them to claim we were there when explaining just what the hell went wrong to the Co13, doesn't it.

We took out the Co13 guy after the Eshin Sorcerer failed.

I don't think we ever directly attacked the Eshin.
We certainly looted some of their stuff.

The Real Witch-Knight of Stirland: Säng und Dämmerlicht
The Real Witch-Knight of Stirland: Säng und Dämmerlicht
-back cover blurb on a well-read book which abruptly stopped circulating in the Karak Eight Peaks Book Club.

This meticulously researched, scholarly tome reveals- at last!- the salacious, shadowed secrets of the dreaded Dämmerlichtreiter of Stirland. The author has retraced her secretive steps across Stirland even into dark Sylvania, interviewing those who knew her best- colleagues, employees, enemies, lovers. Looking into the early years in her career, this detailed exposé covers events leading up to the Purge of the Hunters Hills.

What dark deeds gained the Sängerkritisch her reputation? Was it purely merit, or was there favoritism- perhaps from her close relationship with the Hunter Count? Shocking interviews with Eagle Castle staff tell of midnight encounters in the darkened corridors, clad only in grey smallclothes, and of long, private audiences with the Hunter Count behind his sound-deadening doors.

Then, we examine her relationships with colleagues during these years. What was her relationship with Marshall Gustav von Jungfreud- rumour has it the Dämmerlichtreiter was closely involved in both the violent 'retirement' of his predecessor, and Gustav's subsequent appointment. Burgher Julia Massif- for several years the recipient of her largesse, to the tune of hundreds of gold crowns. For what reason would the Dämmerlichtreiter purchase a house, fund a staff and maintain the lavish lifestyle of the noted, unmarried, socialite?

Find details on these stories, and more, within The Real Witch-Knight of Stirland: Säng und Dämmerlicht

Excerpts from featured interviews with those who knew her best:

"How well did I know her? Oh, the things I could tell you... if you could afford it." - Socialite Julia Massif
"First-rate rider. Excellent in the saddle!" - Marshall Gustav von Jungfreud
"A manipulative, ambitious, treacherous witch! The very soul of evil!" - former Watch Captain Guion 'Lefty' Ragnier
"A most considerate woman. Delivered the sad news of my brothers' passing in a manure accident, don't you know." - Count Maksim von Stolpe
"Insatiable appetite for salacious novels. Quite remarkable. Funded my daughter through University." - Proprietor of Wurtbad Books, Periodicals, and Printing

"*sigh* There's not much I can do to quash its circulation in Stirland. Maybe I should just be grateful that I have a firmer hand in the Karak so no one here can be exposed to this...this...gossip."
"...I'm not sure if I should be telling you this, Dame Weber, but it's surprisingly popular in Altdorf."
"What?"
"Especially among the Imperial Colleges."
"What."

Plot twist: the author is Qrech, writing based on his conversations with Mathilde.
