I thought End Times was shit because it basically went "Hey! Here are all the secrets (of the Old Word) revealed. Pretty cool, huh? Well, none of it matters because all the plans come to not and everyone fails and dies."

*edit* so the reveals weren't the problem. It was their ultimate pointlessness. Like why bother the WHF version of Avalon in Haven only to destroy it?
no their is a lot of reasons why the end times suck, like how the skaven won against the border princes, telia and estallia with like 3 paragraphs, the skaven blowing up the chaos moon, characters being fortten about, how fan favourite characters died or other parts like how malekeith was the true phoneix king and all others were cursed with faliure because they cheated.

Oh god. I forgot about the Malakeith thing. Hell, if that ever got out during a time of relative peace (or better yet right after another war with Naggaroth) I would honestly expect mass apostasy from the High Elves. Maybe not the majority of them, but come on. Malakeith is basically their Lucifer.

Off topic guys move it along.

To get back on topic , we should have looked for beast eggs on the market . Lol gotta start that menagerie of battle beast somehow .

Hopefully the campaign for Magnus turns out well when we get back.

Can't wait for the rumor mill for this turn and after the whole manaan shenanigans.

Hmmm, are there any potential actions we can take to further increase cooperation between the provinces of the Trident? Could we possibly make military exercises/large purgings using mixed army units more common perhaps? I honestly would love it in addition to the yearly meetings the Elector families would work together to kill a lot of beastmen/greenskins/general forest threats whenever possible, and with the Eonir providing awesome scouts would be more effective them usual.

The only other idea I can think of is sponsoring a much more heavily developed/guarded highway between the three provinces in general to increase overland trade.

Any other Trident heavy actions?

Oh please, Settra still exists, he just wasn't willing to become a sigmarine (He doesn't serve after all!), so he's a ghost somewhere right now.

Considering Lord Celestant Settrus of the Imperishables warrior chamber was a thing in an AoS novel, this is a big maybe. Though Mannfred von Carstein said that Settrus wasn't Settra, the similiarities are a bit glaring.

Settrus just ripped the name off a man far greater than he will ever be.

Settra does not serve!

This is like a major hypothetical, but do people think making a Trident backed trade expedition along Silk Road would be worth it? It likely would take a couple years to see a return on investment obviously, but thankfully unlikely to be the decade it took the first real expedition. More like five years or so I think.

Would be a huge payoff if it went well after all, and if the original group could make it with an army of thousand mercs plus others I think three provinces could pull off the same. Especially if we get some merchant houses involved.

A highway would need to fill a role that waterways couldn't, and it would have to be profitable enough for all three provinces to want to invest. As for a trip to the Silk Road we don't really have a reason to sponsor one.

Which reminds me, when does the vote close?

there was a vote? Oh right:

[X] Plan: Stay in Marienburg, for two minutes

Regarding the highway, beyond the role in trade, it would also help when moving troops one way or another. Though it would also help enemy troops move into the province, but that's why we built fortifications along the roads
And for funding, I'd guess tolls along the way and maybe indirect taxes from the increased trade?

From the top of my head we could increase the cooperation between our forces with an exchange program of troops between the 3 provinces, the creation of a combined military forces that can act in all 3 provinces to hunt beastman and other nasty things, reduce taxes for the mercants from the 3 provinces when they traverse the trident teritory or conduct business, the first option for the merchants from the trident when it came to buying or selling something(for example if we want to sell alchool, the trident merchants should have the first chance to buy),the creation of a common guild or something for the trident merchants that can represent them and compete on other markets(instead of working on theier own they can pool resources and outbid other merchant houses),the encourage of nobles to marry in the trident, the creation of an information agency that can share and act in the trident, more military exercise and actions done together and maybe a sort of command structure that can send troops from on province to the other when in need and the ability of troops to enter and traverse the province without asking permission first, the encouraging of people to move more freely between provinces and the encouraging of various guilds to exchange masters and apprentices between themselves(a blacksmith from nordland can come to us and one of ours can go to the other province),a more common law system between the trident .
Some of this action are much harder then others, but they are just some possibilities.

wasnt there also mention of getting stirlan (i think) more involved with the trident or was that just to invite the elector count to the trident meeting?

CAUGHT BACK UP!

Man, this is so good. Thank you @torroar.

I loved Freddy actually being impaired by his drunkenness for once. I loved the look at the Death Twins and Joanna. I loved what you've done with Marienburg.

I appreciate your compliments! As it turns out, what it takes to push the alcohol into issue levels for Frederick is not simple BAC levels, but how much B remains in F, of which there was far less than usual, because of K.

I wonder if when we go down Verena piety actions route we will eventually be able to open a university, which I imagine is just natural course of progress with Verena cult like wiht library, courthouses, maybe an expansion into the Engineering school itself, etc.

I imagine it would be the same if we pursue more Myrmidia route with getting war schools and such.

Our time in Marienburg was a net positive overall so certainly count the experience as worth it, though understandably hopefully the next time we visit a foreign city its not because we pissed someone off too badly. :p

Now hopefully the turn actions went as well if not better since a few important ones this turn in general. Would be just our luck if we pissed off the cult of Rhya during our talks with them and then had to do penance for them too.

Beast eggs fall under 'fauna', we did look.

I'm really looking forward to the next little bit. Vapor tanks coming into production, getting to see Kragg's gifts in action, seeing the heirs take center stage, lots of neat stuff coming up. Also, I would very much like to kill Malagor and co.

I do wonder how this is going to play out in terms of turns. It seems like Malagor is planning to start with a massive attack on Ostland, but that warherd he's got going seems big enough to start an empire-wide war that lasts years. Could be classic war turns, could be something which blends in normal turns.

Anyone have thoughts in terms of general strategy? I'd argue that our best bet is to assassinate Malagor ASAP, he's the only thing keeping the lot of them from turning on each other. We're definitely not specced for it though. Maybe we could ask Aurelion to nuke him with the arcane fulcrum?
