By the way, there probably won't be any posting over the coming weekend. I've got a mountain of house cleaning to do. Other than that, vote closed.
But before the weekend?

Add-on question: would decomissioning running ships and reassignment of crews be possible, and does that have political consequences?@OneirosTheWriter, if you're going to be busy, can you keep the vote open while clarifying what the consequences for crew deficits would be (X pp cost or just delayed crewing or what)?
There's been a lot of waffling about between the shipbuild plan options because of this. Like, everyone wants 6 Renaissance, but we aren't sure how risky it actually is. As has been exemplified by the last minute vote change by BV.
My intention with the Auxiliary Shipyard is to just let those four berths bubble away and automatically produce things. It won't draw on your main force Starfleet budget. I could add auxiliary ship options to the Shipyard Ops post if you want to build outside of the logistics budget, though I'd have to establish costs, I'm not sure how well I'd be able to convey requirements.
@Briefvoice - Would have been nice if you'd told people you made a last minute switch to the 3x Miranda plan.
We could decommision a Constellation.
They're massive crew hogs anyway.
Well, no matter which plan ended up winning, the next 4 years are going to be interesting. Looking at what ships will be newly available for deployment at some point in the year:
This year (2314), we will gain two more Centaur-A's, five more Miranda-A's, one more Constitution-B, and the Renaissance prototype.
Next year (2315), we will get our last Constitution-B, three more Excelsior's, and one more EC Excelsior, but one more Miranda than normal goes into refit.
The year after that (2316), using the current winning plan, we will get five more Miranda-A's and three more Renaissance class cruisers. However, Briefvoice has penciled two Constellation refits so we'll lose two of those.
The final year (2317), we will get our last Miranda-A back from refit, another Renaissance, another Excelsior, and one more EC Excelsior. However, we will lose another three Constellation's to refit and if we go with the Cruiser refit, we won't get the previous two back.
That's just 'penciled in' though. We don't have to do those refits if deployments are too tight.
May be relaxing a bit. The EOY period has stressed me the hell out.

We have better uses for 10pp. If they don't want a second Excelsior, don't build one.
