Ugo, Sakura really shouldn't be released at this point. If she wants to, she will be able to utterly wreck our plans and restart this war anew. At least talk with her some more and get a decent idea of her current attitude before letting her loose.

I really, really doubt Sakura on her own has it in her to do something that pointlessly suicidal-with Akiko down and Rin out of harm's way- and we have three good reasons for her not to try anything that stupid.

That said, adding a line to gauge her attitude.

Will address the update in a bit, but beforehand pre-update stuff:

Arguing with herself in different languages would be neat to happen.
Also, I now want multi-language ship-name.

@TyrantYuyuka: Wait, Moid quest is cheesecake to sushi to this one, as in MORE HAPPY?

No, that is impossible! Tell me that isn't true!

@Kazumi: Definitely have to go there. I don't care how badly they dress since this is text medium (and girls trying to dress like that isn't new, either), it has people in danger and lot of interesting science that also puts people in danger.

It definitely is more imporant than fixing Mami/friendship with Kyoko or the like, for the same reason that we came here now. I'd say that grief seed science and disabusing Sayaka/Madoka come first though, since one is behind the reason to go there anyway and won't take long and other also has death and will only take like a hour/End of the World and ...okay, Madoka might be harder to disabuse, so have to break her that End of the World is at risk.

Regarding urgency, Firn did mention that he runs behind-the-scenes stuff instead of stuff like dice. So can't assume it will remain unchanging.

That said, I should go try and read it...

Chapter 1 *KAZUMI HAS BRAIN DAMAGE- OW.* Really, how can that amnesiac girl be so idealistic and naive....
...Wait, I definitely have seen this plot somewhere before =D

@School: We'd get closer to Mami.

This can go against the goal of unlimpeting her.

Plus, not really interested in school.

@GiftOfLofe: Instead of having a life we'd save a life. It's ok.

Except that, again, all that we know is canon from Kazumi is that the city exists, by word of Firn. No awful characters, no mad science, no implausible plots.

There is no way it's more important than the Mumi, or anything else for that matter.

City is Asanaru. Thus Kazumi is either the girl or the manga.

It exists and is different.

Given the shit that went down there, it is worth checking if only to save people. If there is nothing, then we can be back by the time Mami gets out of school(should we not decide to other things in that time.

She is? Damn, that means I'll have to go and get the gist of it so I can make an informed decision there (I'm far too lazy to actually read it).

Chapter 1 *KAZUMI HAS BRAIN DAMAGE- OW.*
You don't need to, thanks to Mister Bad Guy.
Hokay. So one time Mami convinced this chick called Michiru Kazusa (better known as Kazumi), who had terrible fashion sense and a food fetish but was otherwise basically likable, to make a contract, and trained her. Kazumi quickly outgrew the nest, and found her own group of contract-ready girls, whom she named the Pleiades Saints. The seven-part team somehow fought for a while without running out of Grief Seeds until one of their allies, a girl named Yuuri, witched out. Kazumi was heartbroken at dooming her allies and shortly followed her. The surviving six resolved to find a way to turn her back.

One of the people in the group was a girl named Kanna Hijiri, who due to guilt over a past event, had wished to create another version of herself to live out her civilian life while she fought witches as Niko Kanna. Niko was very technically-minded and had a reconstruction ability, which she used to transform a spare Kyubey body into a being known as Juubey, which she believed could cleanse Soul Gems without a Seed. Another girl, named Umika, used an extremely powerful memory magic to remove knowledge and perception of Kyubey from themselves and everyone in the city. The six of them also began using what remained of Kazumi's body to create clones, but after twelve failed attempts, with the clones becoming violent and dangerous, they opted to create a thirteenth clone without Kazumi's memories. They also started catching MGs who entered the city, taking their Soul Gems, and putting them into suspended animation.

Meanwhile, the artificial Kanna Hijiri learned about the existence of magical girls and her true nature, and turned evil because abloo bloo bloo not real. She gained a ridiculously hax ability that let her do pretty much anything that could be worded as "connection", and resolved to kill the Saints and make the entire world nothing but artificial people (termed "Hyades.") Meanwhile meanwhile, Yuuri had a friend that she wished to heal, named Airi, and Airi found out too, wishing to take on the form of her friend to kill those she believed responsible. Kanna enlisted her help or something, I dunno, this is when things start getting dumb. (Start?)

So then the clone got into a suitcase for some reason and was also naked for very obvious reasons, got involved in a tedious filler plot with a bomb, and was rescued by two of the Saints. I'd name them, but only two of them were actually important to the plot. Anyway, they found out that someone (Kanna) was creating artificial Grief Seeds called Evil Nuts that could turn humans into witchlike beings and witch out MGS outright. Then they fought a few of those witchlike beings, then they fought Airi in the form of Yuuri, and killed her after a whole lot of tedious speechifying.

So anyway then they had an arc where Kazumiclone and Niko fought the Souju sisters, two magical girls that occupied the same body and had different powers. They won, but Niko then proceeded to witch out because her Soul Gem wasn't actually being cleansed, it was being "polished" (what that means, I don't know). This caused the Pleiades to take Kazumiclone to an underground facility where they had placed all the girls they'd captured.

Then a whole bunch of other stuff happened, Kazumiclone started to turn back into a Witch and absorbed the twelve other clones, and Kanna decided to show her hand by getting into a big dumb fight and turning all the captured girls into witches. Also one of the Pleiades turned traitor because reasons and died. Also one of the Pleiades was really gay but in a creepy yandere way and died. Also one of the Pleiades was really gay but in a somewhat healthy way and got turned into a witch. Anyway, that left Kazumiclone, Umika, and Umika's soccer-playing girlfriend to defeat an army of witches under Kanna's control.

So the memory spell got lifted because Umika saw Juubey disintegrate because he'd tried to absorb too much Grief and realized what was going on. Kyubey showed up to be all "lol, toldja so," Kazumiclone went to Kyubey and said that since she was a clone she'd technically never made a contract. Kazumiclone made a contract, became a double magical girl or something with even worse fashion sense, and promptly beat up Kanna's army of witches. Kanna then proceeded to Voltron them into a not-Walpurgisnacht and did the whole "not so different" speech but Kazumiclone destroyed it with the power of friendship speeches and laser beams. Kanna then realized that all her plans had failed and killed herself rather than continue existing in this series. Kazumiclone and the other two survivors then spent the rest of their days hunting witches and grabbing Seeds, presumably until Kreimhild Gretchen was born in a maelstrom of black smoke and consumed the known galaxy.

And now you know what happened in Kazumi Magica. Please don't ask me to do that again.

We don't know when Mami will be stable enough to get back to school- and given that it's been heavily hinted that the manga's not a good source of info...Yeah, we have better things to do than investigate what's either a perfectly normal city or a meguca deathtrap.

Like microwave tea.

You forgot Singlish.

I've read the series before, but this summary really reminded my why we should maybe just ignore this whole thing until it becomes relevant.
(God I hope it doesn't. It just doesn't make any sense. At all.)
That is a very, very reasonable position to take.

Besides, maybe their lack of fashion sense is contagious. :p

One thing that could be added to the vote: Telepathy Rin and ask if she's OK.

Reason to do it: Be nice to Rin.

Reason to not do it: We should be seeing Rin soon anyways.
[x]Sakura: It's over. We want to help you and the rest of Sendai get out of this okay, but we need you to work with us for that to happen. The sooner we do that, the sooner we can help your friends and let you all go. Can you help us help you?
I don't know what to think about this. It sounds... Condescending? Patronizing? I don't know. I'd go for a simpler: Can I trust you for this?

Point. Reworded to be more to the point.

Added a Rin ping.

Uh, Ugo, you're doing that thing again where we ask for someone's opinion and then steamroll ahead with what we've got planned without even considering what they have to offer.

[x] Keep Akiko unconscious
[x] Update Chouko. Ask them to meet up at the radio tower and pick up any bodies she finds along the way.
[x] Ask Ueda for her side of her story. Explain after done.
-[x] Give her the offer of providing free grief seed cleansings to her and her group, in return for their non-interference. Give her time to consult and discuss. Don't rush her to a decision.
[x] Telepathy Rin. Ask for her location, provide quick summary, ask if she needs help.
[x] Once the University group gets here:
- [x] Consult with everyone on our next course of action
- [x] Point: We want to gather the incapacitated girl's bodies
-[x] Bring up the idea of letting Sakura go to help out.
-[x] Go ahead and execute once we've got a definite plan.

Vote reshuffled and revised because REASONS!

Okay, update read.

Things do to, in order of importance/speed:

Stop Kuvira
Heal injured nonmegucas in car crashes. There must not be dyings!
Get Tokyo a-ok with us.
Figure out and fix Kato Setsuka problem.

Cannon vote addresses some that I missed, though, like bodies or Rin.

Is this language thing actually a going concern? Like is Sabrina going to know a bunch of random languages for no reason that provide no help at all apart from naming pretentious attacks? I will laugh if Firn actually runs with it. Might as well add speaking Bengali to the list.

Thanks to Mister Bad Guy for his summary. Yikes that plot looks crazy, nonsensical and stupid but there could be some really promising leads for science. We really should check it out. I wasn't even aware about the reverse witchification until Krecat pointed it out. I always thought of it as an abstract goal, not something that had already been (imperfectly) done. I will not turn down good leads over distaste and personal bias. Even if they don't pan out we'll at least see where they went wrong and what not to do.

Oriko will see if theres anyone still there and the current situation, and then we could pay a visit in a few days time. If its after the conclusion then we help out the survivors, get some warning before they come to Mitakihara or head them off and then look around for any promising pieces of knowledge or tech. If its before then theres a lot of chance to do good and save a ton of lives. Ugh to be or not to be involved in the shitty plot? A shame we made such a heroic good person, we have to go if only for closure. Hopefully Firn can make the plot somewhat bearable, even good. But I do not want to do this before spending some time decompressing.

Now onto the current situation, the fighting is finally over. Now comes the hard part, the peace. We need to find Rin and bring the bodies. Some more info on Sendai would be nice, how many grief seeds do they actually have? Dozens? Hundreds? I think some reparations are in order, if only to give back some of the seeds UG bled for. Not enough to endanger Sendai but not as much as UG will demand aka full compensation or a seed debt, it'll leave both sides unhappy but thats how compromises work. Leave Akiko unconscious until Fukushima and Ueda are gone.

Currently favouring Cannongerbil's plan. But I'm not sure what the last line is about, do we hash out a plan and then add it on?

I say deal with Fukushima first and send them home, do we give them some payment for seeds used? Like 5 Sendai seeds + additional cleansing? Sendai probably have a hoard of the things. I like the current plan with Ueda (if she wants to stay as an observer should she?). Leave Sendai out until last when the main deal happens. Which I guess is two or three updates down the line.

Does anyone want to hold the negotiation on a large floating grief platform at night? It'd invoke symbolism of the Tokyo Bay surrender on the US battleship. Would that be good? Remind that they're defeated and any deal they get here is the best they can get.

Kuvira was brought down by UG. And Setsuko will be left for later when we deal with Akiko, maybe the others will shed some light on her.

966 pages! We'll probably reach 1k just as we get back to Mitakihara... Where everything somehow spontaneously combusted. :V

And we're still in Arc One.
Grief slingshot is simpler
How about grief ballistae?

But if we do figure out how to magnetize transmuted grief, we can pretty much create a railgun out of that. Blows our range limitations out of the water... Shame about the collateral damage tho.
Given that our flight is more like telekinesis.
Can we go to space?

I'm serious when we have some off time lets make a big translucent dome, invite everyone over for a special lunch.

Then lift off into space and have a low orbit space picnic for an hour or two.

Coolest magical girl ever.

"Tea in SPACE is best tea."
While it really sounds cool on paper.. Madoka and Sayaka still needs oxygen. Nad while megucas can convince themselves to not need it, I doubt its a nice thing to experience.

But I guess Haru could solve the oxygen problem that with her plants.
You don't need to, thanks to Mister Bad Guy.
I can only think of one factor that could make all... 'that' plausible:

Teenagers.
