Could be amongst the mercs she called in, instead of in Sendai group - they are not usual, I believe.
I concede that it is possible that there are power sets out there that we have not accounted for that could give us trouble. What are we supposed to do about that besides not rush into fights like our name is Tomoe Mami and we just made our first friend who wasn't a bunnycat?

So far as stalling, sure Sakura's got that shit covered, but so far as beating us? We get scared all we have to do is telepathy Homu and she can be there literally instantly. They'd need to get the drop on us and kill us before we could summon help.

No disagreement here. But there seems to be some assumption that we can turn on the combat switch and the war will be over if we choose to. Are we ready to be stonewalled in combat strategy in addition to being stonewalled in social votes?

Or better, does anyone have any ideas that could counter Sakura used defensively? Any ways to use Oriko perfectly to find someone without them finding us?

And Fukushima's powersets are where exactly? Sendai isn't going to try to take us on alone. Our mere appearance sent them running for their allies. We aren't going to beat a teleporter to that link-up.

Our actions explicitly disrupt her future prediction. If we home in on their location thanks to her prediction, then it's down to a battle of detection and reaction time. And while Homura certainly has seeds, I'm not even sure she can match what Akiko theoretically could, and if we're imposing on Homura anyway...

Plus there's the headache issues.

And she can... teleport to where she keeps them? Even a small stockpile will keep us running around the city for hours.

You are pretty much banking on Akiko and Sakura being hyper competent (practically anticipating Sabrina going after them) and throwing in every technicality you can think of (Headaches? Seriously?) to nerf Sabrina's advantages. You are also underselling Oriko, who has a vested interest in our survival.

tl;dr

stop worrying.

Ask Kyubey?

[X] Ask Kyubey about the powers of mercanery group.

Really, I think we are overthinking this. I don't think Akiko really knows about the true extent of out power, otherwise she wouldn't be trying to sink the negotiations instead of playing along to get on our good side. All we need is one good shot at her and the war, if you can even call it such.
Speaking of this, where was the war power list you posted again? Went through latest 50 posts that you did ITT and didn't see it.

I haven't been updating it because of time issues and the lack of any major revelations since the UG got introduced, but it's still mostly valid as long as you disregard the current events stuff.

Timestop, then talk to Homura for facts, Oriko for ideas, and Mami for experience?

QB won't divulge information on other MGs unless we let him to do the same on us.

Because we obviously want Kyubey involved in this war
I love how you are implying that we can keep Kyubey out of the loop on this war. After the huge racks we made in Sendai, the incubators will have to be blind, deaf, and retarded not to have noticed it, not to mention the sheer number of participants and the amount of magic being thrown about means that they've probably collected more than a few grief seeds by this point.

Well of course he is, but letting him talk tends to end badly for those involved. Keep in mind he essentially wants every single meguca to get depressed and turn into an eldritch abomination. Let's not bring him into this (also, don't put Kyubey, Mami, and a witchbomb risk in the same conversation).

Proposal: OP jar.

Whenever a meguca thinks Sabrina is hopelessly, stupidly, overpowered, put a Grief Seed in a jar.
Use the jar to distract Akiko.

Why does the Synchronized vote state multiple extremely implausible assumptions as fact and coyly hint at the witchbomb?

I feel like it makes too many assumptions as well. Think of this as like a game of clue: making an accusation when you possess less than enough information is risky and carries heavy penalties. Especially when the person we're accusing hates us already.

Yeah, and it made things so much better while Rin was dealing with being lichbombed. :eyeroll:

Sure it's watching the war, but that's fine as long as it isn't talking to anybody. Shouldn't give it a reason to put in an appearance.
Ugh. True.

I'd rather avoid combat, as re-looking Cannongerbil's list, we have an unknown number of meguca with unknown powers on Akiko's side(at least 6 in Fukushima group, I think).

Could you please elaborate re: assumptions being made?
The vote quite clearly is fishing for information about Akiko and Kato with some incoherent rambling about the system and Witch-hints thrown in for good measure. It assumes she'll read into what we're saying, that she'll read what we're trying to say into it, and that what we're saying has any relevance to her or accuracy.

All of these are bad ideas.

The whole point was to hint at a whole slew of things and see what Akiko picks up on???
The best case scenario is we get ignored. The worst is that it torpedoes our already shaky attempts to get her to listen to us, makes us look stupid, and gets us awkward questions.

It's better than the alternative, which is a bunch of phrases that literally mean nothing to the person we're saying them to and an offer of help without saying or even hinting anything about what kind of help we can give.

Yes, we're not actively looking for a fight. But at the same time, we really shouldn't get paralyzed over a handful of unknowns. If we absolutely have to, we can ask Ishinomaki, the UG, Homura or Mami if they know anything about them.
