Aura, we can only break the system on this planet.

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED.

1) We know that the madoka of that future did chose that in this particular situation. We still have no right (although we dont even have the capability, so this is moot) to force her. For all we know after meeting us she would chose differently. Hell, after seeing our witch experiments, she may end up being the one who makes the wish we debated but didnt (to restore witches) istead of the destroy witches wish of canon. Who knows where that leads.

2) Arguably pursuing a good end for everyone is what you are always morally obligated to. Were just in the situation of knowing that ridiculously much is at stake and good endings are possible. Its more a matter of scale than any moral difference to most situations.

3) Since ive heard different theories about this, its far from that obvious. Esspecially since if production of grief seeds was all he was after, there would likely be better ways. He also metiond the conversion of hope to despair as what he mainly harvests. Debating this would get off topic, but theres no proof that it means eternal suffering. It may just as well mean soul destruction or any number of otehr things.

1) Um...you're kind of missing my point. I know we shouldn't force her. I don't want her to at all. As a response, I feel we are morally obligated to answer the tremendous good she sacrificed for with something equivalent or better.

2) It's a classic "Great Power comes Great Responsibility" argument. We are unprecedented; restraining our concerns to a single town is grossly irresponsible.

3) It's...pretty much a 99% for sure thing that the Incubators are keeping the Grief Seeds as batteries; there's no point destroying them or consuming them because no single-instance gain can match an infinite amount of small gains. There's no real reason to suggest anything short of the scenario of magical girls suffering pretty much forever as Grief Seeds, and to suggest otherwise based on zero evidence is contrarian at best, dishonest at worst.

The requirements for unlimited cleanings from Sabrina are basically "walk up to her without trying to kill anyone". We'll pretty much be offering all players in the conflict cleanings.

Also, so far as the debate above, I would like to find some way to tell the incubators to suck it and save the earth (I give precisely -0.0124 fucks about the heat death of the universe; it's literally billions of years away), but that will require additional science and at some point manipulating Kyubey into giving us information he really shouldn't (which isn't impossible, he's quite the greedy little psychopath and can be partially blinded by potential profit)

Do bear in mind that there is another reason we don't want Madoka to make that wish she did in canon, which is that down that route lies rebellion. I'm reasonably certain that no one here thinks that Homulucy's world is a desirable outcome.

Whats the situation about Minami again? She okay or broken neck + splattered from falling a great height?
Megucas are liches, and she knows about the lichbomb. A broken neck and a long fall won't do more than inconvinence here. Plus, she was last seen speeding away together with the rest of the Sendai crew.

So when are we going to invade incubator space and take everything back?

Were you not around when we dedicated literally almost 10 pages on the logistics of Sabrina making a glorified Grief-Brick and having Megucas supplement all the complications of space-survival and time dilation or whatever while we just fling the Grief Brick through the galaxy?

[X] Let Mami try.
-[X] Just try to break some of the ice between them, if you can. Don't take sides just get them to stop snapping at each other.
[X] Once she's done:
-[X] Rin, why did you need to pay Fukishima? Just for their involvement in the war, or for something else? Is there anyone else you owe payment to? I'm willing to offer my services to them as well if it puts an end to your need for additional grief seeds from Hamasaki. Is there any reason that an effectively unlimited amount of cleanings wouldn't satisfy any needs you were hoping to fulfill from this war?
[X] Chouko, would you be willing to cease hostilities with Sendai on the condition that they do the same for you, and I provide the cleanings? Yes, what they did was wrong, but this way it can be over without any more fighting.

Honestly it would only require a crew of three: Sabrina (for cleanings, for the craft, and its propulsion) Homura (to make sure that we don't have to deal with time dilation) and either the plant meguca (for oxygen) or Yuma (to heal the constant damage done to their bodies's cells by the lack of oxygen). The only real limiting factor would be food and water.

Lichdom could probably solve the food and water problem.

...one step at a time, guys. Worry about interstellar travel after dealing with the major issues on Earth. Or, you know, Japan even.

Also, if Akiko thinks she can dictate terms that we aren't happy with, then damn is she in for an unpleasant surprise. And if Akiko is under any delusions that Sakura is her trump card against Sabrina, she has apparently forgotten that Sabrina can just yank soul gems on a whim (which, if done mid-teleport prep, instant-KO's Sakura).

And she has no idea that Mitakihara is defended by a timestopping, ruthless, walking arsenal and a precog.

Hell, they could just put themselves in suspended animation by disconnecting their soul gems from their bodies. Just as long as we can figure out a way to reconnect them when the reach their destination, and we can pretty much travel the galaxy in a glorified tin can.

Megucas are kinda on par with vampires on being the perfect candidates for long distance space travel.

Except we would still need to deal with the constant corruption Sabrina and Homura would be generating, so Sabrina would need to sleep in shifts with Homura. Other than Yuma or that girl with the plant powers, anyone else could be playing poker and writing fan fiction for that it matters.

Also there's the boredom issue, so someone has to bring literally all the videogames and be an Electric Meguca.

Wasn't it established that soul gems stop acquiring corruption once they get disconnected from their bodies? Unless they are actively using their powers, they shouldn't be accumulating any corruption that requires cleansing.

If and when we fight Akiko, we must do some bending moves.

Griefbending (aka sludge/mud bending) vs water/ice bending!

Also, musing about it, Akiko almost never witch hunt, just extortion and "PVP". If we punish her, we should just dump her, alone, in a witch barrier. That we made. filled with an overstuffed grief seed. With 10 witches worth of grief.

"Sabrina, did you forget to pack anything but horror games?"
"...Not really, why?"
"All of the games have screaming faces and whispering in the background music when you try and play them."
"...Yeah, that's the grief. Sorry."
