Sensing soul gems doesn't even begin to encompass what we can sense. And if they've been lichbombed, or even if they haven't, it can be taken literally as 'sensing magical girls', which is already public information.
Just realized (a bit slow) that this confirms it's Minami's soul gem. I was thinking it meant that Yuko has gotten to a proper ambush point or something, indicating that she was ready to get the drop on Minami or something, but it almost certainly means the literal version — she got "her", Minami's true self, her soul gem."Got her," a quiet voice in her mind. A familiar one - Yuko, unlike that odd one relayed to her by Inoue.
Aaaand, I'm betting this is also related.Also, for clarification: Minami's neck got broken by that invisible girl, who came up from behind while Minami was crossing maces with the POV character? If so, why did invisible girl's reaction amount to "oh my god that was brutal"? She chose to attack like that, targeting the neck/head, no less. Or was she just not expecting it to have that kind of effect?
Namely, Yuko never hit Minami at all. The crack was the backlash of Minami's own powers (gravity blast originating from her eyes?) when used in a body that was no longer being reinforced by magic. The strength of her attack cracked her own neck.A vicious, swiping blow with her scepter is met by a mace. Sparks fly as it becomes a contest of strength, until Minami's eyes flash and Chouko dances aside to avoid the blast of gravity.
\\A heavy crack, and Minami's head snaps forward sharply. Her neck bends with a horrid, cracking noise, and Chouko's eyes go wide in horror.\\A girl shimmers into view - Yuko, looking equally horrified.
Welp, that means we're overdue then, eh?[x] Kinematics
@SaltyWaffles @Kinematics
I interpret that as Yuko running off of Meguca.Instincts and going for the kill-shot before she can really process that she is, in fact, going for the kill shot. Either magic or straight up melee followed.
Additionally, guys, everyone be proud because
We should fuck up on style by unleashing a sonic boom at everyone.
I call bullshit, I maintain we fucked up our earlier akiko conversation.
Well I was watching this and it seemed appropriate. Listened to it while reading, provided suitable atmosphere.Yeah, reeeeally going to have to find some appropriate Ominous Latin Choir music soon
Hmm...
You know, it'd cost us nothing to say "I know there's a fifth girl here. Where's Manami?" instead of explicitly mentioning soul gems.
No, it's to hide our powers.Is that supposed to warrant a better response from the University group? Because I... don't really see that as being a better alternative. Mami is also going to wonder what the heck we're talking about.
