Wait, is that Sabrina? But she's Madoka's OC. Is Madoka the auth—
Yeah, since Madoka made her fix everything wish, I thought putting her as the author trying to make a fix-it fic would be funny.

Um, I guess Kyoko kinda looks like Calli, and Sayaka kinda looks like Gura? But I feel like—
This is Sayaka, because like most Hololive idols, she doesn't have a hint of sanity in her.
And the last one Is Mami since last night I was watching her fight against Homura, and remembered her swinging to avoid Homura's attack. (Well, that and I think I remember an omake which called Mami "Spider-Mami" and since Gwen is blond like Mami, I just figured why not?)

Sayaka has tons of sanity, she is simply missmatched for the setting. A paladin stuck in a cosmic horror setting. Somethings gotta give, and it ain´t gonna be the eldritch horrors.
All the more reason to keep pushing things in the Superman direction. Paladin vs eldritch horror happens pretty often in Superman stories. It's usually not the paladin who breaks first in those.

Sayaka isn't even mismatched for the setting. Kyuubey specifically aims to break her. Saying that she doesn't fit the setting is blaming her for the active deception and manipulation of the Incubator.

PMAS Sayaka may be a bit mismatched thanks to us empowering her.
Even if Sabrina didn't do a thing more than clearing her Grief, Sayaka would go out and eventually break the system.

QBs active actions define a lot of the setting.

If the Incubators suddenly where super friendly and kind, or even just indifferent, then the entire setting would be pretty nice.

Here's something to muse on, vis a vis fundamental assumptions that would change if the spacecats were on our side: is grief buildup even a natural byproduct of magic? Or is it something Soul Gems in particular are structured to bring about?

It might be interesting, one of these days, if Kyubey allows it, for us to witness the creation of a magical girl. With our particular set of extra senses... I suspect we might learn some things.

I personally suspect the later. That there's a kind of limiter built in to Soul Gems that prevents Magical Girls from using Grief that breaks down as part of the transition between Soul Gem and Grief Seed. My theory is that Madokami's angels were able to use Witch powers despite retaining their sanity because their Soul Gems lacked that limiter, whether through Madokami's intervention, or through the limiter burning out at the near-witchout point that Madoka collected them. I'd like to get some science in to confirm or deny this theory.

This is an experiment I'm sure Kyubey would be eager to help us with. He probably wouldn't even push too hard for it to be Madoka. I'm sure he'd cheerfully rip out Nagisa's soul while we watch.

I suspect that's on his list of things to do to try to get Sabrina to witch out, given how much we're still beating ourselves up over failing to keep Sayaka from contracting.

The only possible science we can do to confirm that theory is to successfully de-witch someone and see if they get a grief stand out of it. Anything else is the kind of shit that will make Sabrina want to vomit in the next update.

While that would be the most unambiguous proof of the theory, it isn't the only theoretical way we could find out. We could, for example, utilize a scanner to non-destructively analyze Soul Gems and stumble on some structure that looks like it's doing something odd when we use our Grief manipulation powers.

Besides that, Nico and Sayaka aren't on the dewitching think tank just because they have powers to help them conduct experiments Sabrina comes up with. They're both smart girls with the ability to come up with ideas Sabrina wouldn't necessarily think of. Science like this really calls for having multiple prospectives looking at the problem.

Incidentally, that might actually be why Sayaka gets her error message when she tries to copy Sabrina's grief manipulation powers. If all Magical Girls have the ability to use Grief naturally, and they're just dealing with a limiter, that limiter might be what's triggering the error. Though, if that were the case, it would be evidence against the Mikiel theory.

You could draw a comparison between the TVA and Karmic Destiny, methinks. Sure, one's a fascist police organization, and the other's a law of physics, but both try make sure things go "how they're supposed to go", using cruel methods and with cruel results.

"Sabrina... we might have done something we weren't supposed to".

If nothing else, Loki managed to give me a million new ideas for how to play with timelines/multiverses. Who needs generic ROBs when you have the TVA and He Who Remains to pull the strings?

...okay now I want to read/write an omake where Sabrina and co. get abducted by the TVA for crimes against the Sacred Timeline.

That just dissolves in the Tamura Bar showing up with too many guns. One of them rolled up in a Tardis.
