Well my unoriginal suggestion with helping Homu is trying to get her to develop some actual interests outside of protecting Madoka once Brazilian Walmart is dealt with. Obviously that's probably more of a long-term concern.

Speaking of that, I forget, how long until Saint Walpurgis Night shows up assuming the date of her arrival stays on track?

Homura shoots Homura.

"There can only be one."
I mean...

We should clearly to get Homura to join a support group with Shinji Ikari and Guts.

Y'know, I kinda disagree with the assessment that Sab is that bad at social.
Could we have done better at times? Yes.
Does our metaknowledge help us a lot? Sure.
But it's not like we fuck up as much as people say we do. I mean, look at the things we've accomplished over the last three weeks. We've made a powerful alliance out of people who wanted nothing to do with each other, we've successfully navigated several tense social situations, and have managed to have a large group of allies we can rely on. That's not something you can do with shit social skills.

Agreed. People stating that Sabrina is terrible at social when metaknowledge isn't involved is really overstating it. Sabrina can make mistakes but she's actually pretty good at this social thing more often then not.

I'm surprised Sayaka isn't a part of this discussion.

She's an extrovert and she's popular and well liked, but she's not as rich or smart as, say, Madoka or Hitomi, which are disadvantages in the social realm.

She also likes Homura in this timeline.

I'd say that of the main five, Sayaka is probably the most sociable. Sure, Mami has her whole "perfect sempai" thing going on, which includes social, but people mainly social at her, not with her (which is why I suggested she rejoin the archery club earlier).

Also, looping back to the hobby thing, Sayaka plays 40k, so she probably has a gaming group she meets with semi-reguarly.

Basically, what I'm saying is that Sayaka put all of her skill points into social and we should throw her at this problem.

Edit: Alternatively, we could lean into the Nanoha School Of Friendship by teaching Homura to blast people in the face with lasers. Hell, maybe we should start trying that.

Sayaka hasn't been told about the loops yet, is why.

Okay, yeah, but whilst that is happening on Homura's initiative, it's still a when, not an if, and Sayaka can still be involved in the socialising of Homura without needing to know all the details. Sayaka already believes Homura is a veteran magical girl who has been hunting Walpurgisnacht across the world for several years, which... isn't wrong. Adding a "Hey, Sayaka, could you help Homura develop social skills and make friends?" wouldn't be out of the question.

The actual answer here is "through practice and consideration".

Well no, the actual answer here is how to get those things. Which is why it's a complicated problem of a vote instead of a two-liner.

That's the depth of problem we're dealing with -- somebody who needs the simplest abstractions ripped aware because she never learned how to learn.

Whew.
I should pretend I haven't seen this post for my own good, but doing things for my own good isn't a skill I'm quite proficient at.

Kaizuki, there are 500 words that come after the sentence you quoted, elaborating on what I meant. I actually put a lot of thought and effort on that post. You don't have to read it or like it or agree with it, but, like, can you please not say that the answer isn't a "two-liner" when my own answer clearly isn't?
