What do you mean? Carrots are nutritious, as well as acting as an important part of winning over potentials. They are also delicious.

This is an intervention, Crasian01, for the directorate is not pleased with your past month's actions, but above that you only contracted one person.

One.

[]We don't condone what the Sendai veterans have been doing. But we want this to end with no one else getting hurt- and have good reason to think things will end badly for everyone if it escalates. It sounds like they were in the wrong here, but if we can guarantee they won't go after you again, will you cooperate with us in ending the war? At the very least, all we ask is that you do nothing.

I feel compelled to respond to this.

Sendai is in the wrong?

Ishinomaki and the University group just conspired to kill three magical girls.

Say what you want about the extortion. That's fucking attempted murder. Holy shit what.

There is no right here. There is just bad and worse.

Anyway, that line is terrible and needs to go away.

Final exams are in two weeks. I guarantee you, by the end of two weeks from now, you'll have a dozen new contractees desperate to save their grades.

I feel compelled to note: lying is a perfectly valid tactic.

We're not here to validate either side. That may help us here in the short term, but long term, it can just as easily damage our position of neutrality and doesn't help ease tensions. It's a bad line.

That's fair, but lying is not in and of itself invalid. In addition, being very honest too early also makes it difficult to make headway in persuading people to do the thing you want them to do. Selective not-quite lying (also known as Marketing/Politics/Doublespeak) is better for the sake of successful manipulation of others to achieve a particular goal.

Is less "invalid", and more "ill-adviced" actually. Mostly because people does not react very well against lies.

It's being diplomatic- a novel concept for us and my votes, yes, I know- but Sendai did attempt unprovoked murder here.

Edited wording to

In the past, and possibly over misunderstanding. While selling the Sendai group as demons would earns us fast points with them... I find it unncessary, considering what we try to do in the long term.

Then lie well? I don't see the issue, sorry. I don't see it as a question of whether or not it's ill-advised. Ultimately, it's just a question of how well you think you can lie and how well SV thinks it can lie.

It's worth noting that "unprovoked murder" is probably inaccurate unless we get more data. It's much more likely that whats-her-face died and Sendai jumped to unwise conclusions. Also EtchedSteel is correct about the long term problems.

It's still unprovoked from this group's perspective-yes, they're being typical magical girls about things with their retaliation but saying as much is going to go over as well as a brick in a bathtub. Throw them a bone verbally- yes you have reasons to be upset at Sendai- and get them to play nice.

Ah, what you're doing there, I see it now. Fair enough then, I misunderstood.
