Sounds good. Science time always runs out faster than we'd think, so a good buffer would be helpful. We should also see about identifying a time other girls are available. I'd like to have Sayaka in on this, since we read her in on the Witch situation, so if something Witch related is what comes out, we won't have a potential witchbomb crisis on our hands. If what comes out is a familiar, we want to kill it FAST to prevent the possibility of Deledore.

Looks like Monday is clear if we can be wary of the Soujuu sisters. Tuesday has enchantment practice, but we could do it right after if Sayaka is present for it.

So we Ask Sayaka when she might be able to work with us on it, then either Monday after school or Tuesday after enchantment practice. Or a different time if Sayaka suggests. We then quickly check that this doesn't conflict with Homura (its only polite even if she isn't often busy).

Sayaka might not be hard to schedule with actually since she has clones.

What are we bringing to the table in our discussions with Hitomom?
Magic. This is a preliminary meeting where we'll be reading her in on the details of Magical Girls, what they can generally do, and giving some examples of our specific abilities like the 3d grief printing thing with an eye toward something that'll produce meaningful profit and do some good in the process.

We'll also be talking about the areas we need help with, the unique challenges Magical Girls face, including access to good mental health care being a matter of litteral life and death (or fate worse than death). I'd like to read her in on infohazards as well, not to mention the evil alien plotting on us and providing our telepathic wifi. We'll be covering the prison situation with her and seeing what can be done about that from the muggle side, especially after we just captured this band of pirates.

Yeah, Magic with a capital M breaks everything potentially. Like, so much it warps everything to it. We pretty much don't need too much more. They will be all too happy to find uses for it.

Nerevar do you think it would be fine to ask Sayaka to send a clone home when we decide to do the Grief dispersal experiment? We wouldn't even need to ask her now, since we can telepathy her to do so whenever. I'd only suggest asking to schedule it on the way back because I don't want us filling the schedule before we decide to do it, and pushing it back further. Dewitching is important, so I don't think it would be that rude to ask her when would be a good time telepathically while we are heading home so we can get it done. Especially when with clones and Homura having timestop any time we are free outside of school/sleep is fine pretty much (just let Mami know).

If an alternative to Clear seeds can be made, we really need to do that soon instead of people getting used to using girls souls to do the job. Just makes things inconvenient in a lot of ways.

Sayaka can manage her own logistics, I think. Asking her and Homura when a good time is can probably wait until after the Nagisa situation's been dealt with.

Sure thing. Nagisa is very important. We should do it as soon as reasonably possible after that though. We have a bad habit of giving ourselves things to do if we don't have any scheduled, and this could also minimize that if we get wraith cubes as a result (no need for cleansing trips as much if we also drop off a pile of wraith cubes).

I said as soon as reasonably possible @Mossconfig . So like Monday or Tuesday as you said. If we say anything before that, its just so we can officially put it on the planner to prevent others from trying to stick something else in, and for politeness sake.

If I didn't think I'd blow up in our face, I just ask us to put a mental note in Sabrina's mind so we can just put it in the planner, but I'm almost certain it would blow up in our face somehow if we did that without asking someone else.

We could ask them when they think it would be a good time to schedule it for after dinner, or in the morning (as in, those are the times that we would ask them for the time they would like us to do it). I don't think we will fill our schedule during the dinner (or at least I kinda hope not). When we do so, we put it in the planner to set it in stone for whatever date/time/place we decide.

I hope this makes a little sense. I think the verbiage is awkward on my part because I am discussing the ideal soonest reasonable time to discuss when to do it.

It kind of came and went as a side discussion, but RE: Communicating with Witches: Umika's Ex Fille is capable of reading the thoughts and emotions of a demi-witch that's otherwise unable to communicate, and Satomi's animal communication is capable of, well, communicating with animals (most of whom aren't sapient/sentient and can't otherwise communicate effectively with humans). Neither of them are read in on Witches, but Sayaka is, and she has copies of both of their powers-- The only two Pleiades she didn't copy were Niko (Matter Reconstruction) and Mirai (Bear Summoning). Using those in concert (especially if we have Niko use her technomantic expertise to combine them into a Seed Communication Device), we might be able to break through to a Clear Seed that's become active through exposure to (and thus, permeable to certain kinds of) magic, such as Aurora or Arzt Kochen.

Now that I've thought of it, I 100% want to do this the moment we have an open spot in the schedule. Even if it's entirely one-way communication from the Seed to us, it would be a massive breakthrough on the road to dewitching, and give us the additional leads we need to break into either Soul Gem restoration or reembodiment. If we can test and prove the theory, this is how we get Airi completely on our side fucking instantly.

Okay, yeah. Much as I want to get the basic grief release experiment in, this is absolutely a higher priority.

Agreed. A simple grief release experiment is convenient enough we could probably pencil it in whenever.

This doesn't have to take very long, either: Within the next 2-3 updates, we're heading back to Asunaro anyway to drop the Pleiades off, and while we're there, we can spare maybe five minutes to throw up a security bubble and pitch the idea to Sayaka, Homura, and Niko (especially since I believe we want to float the idea of giving Yuki a foothold there for transportation/rapid response purposes). If it sounds viable, Sayaka can just leave her clone there to render assistance and they can call us back when they have a working prototype/are ready to test a prototype (we gave Niko a Clear Seed previously, but I don't remember if she got it back after Hijiri stole it).

Aight. G'night everyone. I'm sure we can agree to having this decided not long after we meet up to drop Mami off, since we will all be there anyway. The soul communication and grief release expiriments (if we have extra time left over) should be very useful foundational work for the future.

(we gave Niko a Clear Seed previously, but I don't remember if she got it back after Hijiri stole it)
Even if she didn't, we just got a haul of Grief Seeds. It's easy enough to clear one for her.

Speaking of which, we should offer to clear them for any of our allies who are interested in more than one Clear Seed. If only because Clear Seeds are WAY less likely to end up fed to Kyubey. I know Kyoko probably won't go for it, but I expect at least some of our allies would be interested.

One thing that I've seen come up a few times is the idea that we need to come up with an alternative to Fukushima being our jailers quickly, since they don't want to be stuck doing it permanently. This is silly since 'a week or two' is only long term from our perspective. While it would be considerate of us to keep looking for other options, we've probably got a decade of real time before it becomes an issue. Calls to stuff Iowa in the freezer immediately are extremely premature.

We should bundle the info that we are looking for mundane assistance with Niko. Tell her that we are looking to get unlimited mundane funding/equipment/manpower, and that she should get a shopping list ready.

We should avoid going into these talks expecting Hitomi's parents to place their entire company and all its resources at our disposal. We should also keep in mind that even if they live in Mitakihara that still doesn't make them Tony Stark or Seto Kaiba. They won't be able to give us everything we need, but hopefully they can get us some things and help us find out where to start getting other things.

Yeah, the only way they can get us big stuff is if they have an in to the Japanese government. Unless you get them involved, we are likely pretty limited in what we can do under the table. If they have any military contacts or know where we can find one, the sky's the limit with magic. They provide the people and authority, we can just fish gold and shit out of the ground if they need budget.

Our grief manipulation appears to be atomicly precise, which opens up a ridiculous array of fabrication and mineral extraction options. We have a probability manipulator, imagine the damage she could do to the stock market. What would happen if yuki claimed a prototype fusion reactor and have sabrina modify/upgrade it? We are offering them first dibbs on phenomenal cosmic power.

While true, I expect there will be a bit of a ramp up in figuring out how to exploit it.

Plus, there's the Incubator to consider. Kyubey remains interested in upholding the Masquerade, and any of our economic activity that threatens said Masquerade on a broader scale is likely to result in him disrupting said activity with mind wipes.

The Shizuki's are far from omnipotent, but we shouldn't underestimate their utility either. They're very wealthy, so they can solve any immediate financial or housing issues we have, and they will generally be taken seriously by any other organizations we'd like them to contact, so they open up a ton of options that "random teenage girls" don't normally have available.

Oh, by the way. Did Homura choose a building for a Yuki network node in Mitakihara? Should we remind her?

Sure, but are we offering to drop everything and help them build that cosmic power? We aren't giving them everything we have because even with Homura we just don't have the time to add too much of that to our plate, so they won't be handing the company over on a silver platter either.

And at the rate this quest moves real life might just get fusion power before Mitakihara does lol.

Part time phenomenal cosmic power is still pretty good, especially when it can be applied in a hundred meter radius sphere while specialized machinery tends to be more limited in scale. We do need more resources here, since the arrangement with Shiogama is neither sustainable nor scalable.
