...you must have missed the part where I quoted the message not even an hour ago.
Spot checks are not my strongsuit, sorry.

...Well, Nagisa's uncle should understand, given it's a major emergency that popped up. Redshirt army's right, we simply have too much to do that shouldn't be rushed, and timestop wont help.

Besides, we can always make it up to him somehow. Maybe ask Junko what he likes.

I really don't think that's something we absolutely have to do now.

We don't have to, but we mentioned that we'd do it after the assault during the planning phase:

You snort, amusement tugging your grin into something more natural. "Which reminds me of an important lapse. We never did name our coalition, but at this point... after the battle, yeah? After all-"

"-names are important!" Kazumi completes for you, sliding a look Mami's way for approval.

Mami chuckles lightly. "Names are important, so let's all think of one to share after we finish the fight," she says. "Now, as Sabrina said - let's get this done."

And I think that it's something relatively light-hearted that will help keep everyone's spirits up.

I'm curious what we are going to say when Mr. Momoe asks what was so urgent that we had to do.
Something like:
"I needed to translate Burmese for three girls who were in a sticky situation".
But I can't help but wonder what if we said something like:
"I had to stop off in India to arrest a international terrorist group".

Mr. Momoe: If I may ask, what exactly was the emergency?
Sabrina: Oh, I had to stop a terrorist attack.
Mr. Momoe:... I'm sorry, what?!

It means we could leave Yuki behind with her team (and probably Asunaro) to handle stuff while we head back.
We're the only person here who speaks Burmese.

No joke, I want to do this (okay, not exactly that, more like "that's a conversation we should have in private when you have half an hour free"). We owe Shin an explanation of what happened today, and we can no longer claim in good faith that our nature as a magical girl isn't his business.

[X] Leave it be - regrettably, this might take some time

I also have to agree with the points raised by @Redshirt Army , but a lot of what we can actually cover kinda depends on how much time the next update covers. I'm not sure how to finagle all that into a vote block due to that.

Regrettable but bailing on the girls isn't the right thing to do. We're going to need a really good excuse for Nagisa's uncle though... putting myself in his shoes, I'd be very hesitant to entrust my nice to someone who suddenly ups and leaves. I honestly don't know what we can say if he starts asking for any specifics.

I'm sure everyone will understand if we tell them we abandoned a child for this, or we could do it over telepathy or something. Picking a name for a political group is not a quick process, and giving up on getting back to Nagisa immediately doesn't mean we shouldn't still try to get back as soon as we reasonably can.

Keeping magic secret isn't our job. We should tell him the truth.

  • While she's here, now is also a good time to clear the air between Mika and Kyouko, as Kyouko just requested.
I think the two of them are already having that talk?
"Madoka, Hitomi?" you call, watching as Mika lands back on your platform. She looks to Kyouko, inquisitive look on her face, but Kyouko just shakes her head slightly and glances over to you.

"Oi, Sabrina," Kyouko drawls. "We need to have a talk."

A talk... ah, yes. Nakano Mika, of Nakano Corporation. About the Sakura church, you suppose - you can't think of anything else, in any case.
You nod at Kyouko, acknowledging the implicit request for an excuse. "Yeah, most likely," you say. "We need her healing. Alright, off you go, then..."

With a thought, you bubble off a small platform for Kyouko and Mika, sending it drifting off for their conversation.
And I'm guessing Kyouko's offering merc services for Mika as payment for the church, among other things.

This would also provide an extra layer of security against kyuubey trying to contract Nagisa. I think telling Mr. Momoe after this mess would be wise.

Side note:I'd like to think that every day we live longer and keep doing what we do, the rat bastard dies a little more inside.

The local girls are healed, there isn't much left to do for them, but to offer a clear seed, and get agreement to Yuki claiming a building in their territory.
What about alliance building? Forming some bonds? Those could come to help us out later if we need them, and vice versa.

Also, I don't think it's in Sabrina's nature to just go "Hey here's a clear seed , can our friend hijack an abandoned building?" and just leave them to fix it themselves. There may indeed be nothing we can do, but it would say a lot about us if we at least tried to do something (I'm aware that giving them the clear seed is indeed doing something, but something that prevents you from dying to pure grief can't really help with whatever they're dealing with.)

They've also just lost all their friends and family so it'd be pretty insensitive to just up and take off don't you think?

Oooh, nice ninja'd!

Correction: All my friends/ Families are dead.

That may just be the tip of the iceburg, though.

Remember, Nadia said that a different group was guarding the area before now. That means something bad happened to the other group.

It's also been stated that this group may be rather new, and then Iowa comes along. They may have been struggling as magical girls in this area before Iowa, and that still may be a problem without our intervention.

And this is all just from stuff we can assume. More details may come out that tell us worse things have been happening to the group.

Those girls need a hug.

It occurs to me that instead of dismissing it the Iowa captain may have put her ship into her hammer space. I don't think it really changes anything except that if she escapes she will be able to manifest the ship very quickly.

On the topic of a clear seed, it might be better to give them a number of "cloudy" seeds then a single clear seed. We can draw from Iowas seed stock to make them too.
Speaking of, Iowa should have a decent seed stockpile yes? So where is it? Can you put seeds in hammer space? Did they hide them somewhere off of the ship? Or were the seeds on their persons and not mentioned?

Bringing them home with us ( like everyone in the thread wants to, don't lie to me ) could be a solution, but we'd need some sort of legal documentation that we didn't kidnap them, they would need emigration notice, language courses, a place to stay, some sort of an opportunity for education...
I'm sure I'm missing a couple dozen other things, too.
