Huh… wasn't the discussion on renaming the MOP, like, a year ago? Or did it come up recently again? I didn't know the threat->Sabrina thought process system would reach that far back for idle distraction content.

Sabrina sometimes goes on her own tangents about things in the middle of the update that we couldn't derail for. Nova Prospekt 26 had a bit where she forgot what to call a parapet.

[] Why not Phobos and Deimos? Sayaka's a lot closer to Sailor Mars than she is to Odin.

I've been on a bit of a Half-Life kick recently, so the reference to that update name (A) made me double take before I put 2+2 together and (B) made me realize all the update names so far have been Half-Life references holy shit how did I not notice that before?!

I still prefer what I came up with back at the beginning: the Blackbird.

Still, Mobile Operations Platform is vastly better than "Mobile Oppression Fortress". Why the thread thought that was even remotely a good idea after taking such great care to avoid even the appearance of being a tyrant, I will never understand.
 
It's kind of ironic. Because the supersonic airplane under our direct will formed out of literal materialized suffering really should be a tool of oppression, narratively speaking, but simultaneously the thought is absurd, and the contradiction makes it funny.

It wouldn't be nearly as amusing if we were actually worried about being tyrannical, of course, and in that sense it serves as a kind of internal countersignaling too; along the lines of "look how not worried I'm about that outcome."

On a tangent to this, saying Sabrina's gay as hell would be relevant, given who her mother/best friend is, who we constantly make internal speak of the devil jokes about.

So my original intent here was this, or something like it:

But... the issue here is that it's not clear what extent we can expect to rely on Hitomi's family and until that changes bringing up the housing question might be... Like, really insulting, especially since they're *already* handling it for us in part. Like, "hey so the housing question is totally not solved and lets ignore that Hitomi is solving it atm" level of insulting, except *worse*, because it even goes to "hey can I ask you to solve housing and not say anything about the obvious way you could solve housing, and I'm totally kind of implying that that's not an okay way to solve housing, and why the fuck wouldn't it be Sabrina". It's bad enough that I really don't want to run this as a vote, which is why it's not X'ed in.

So, something else as my proposal, then:
