What I think we would LIKE is "enough self-awareness" to the point where Anri could discuss the crime that landed her here. We don't have that, so the progress towards protecting everyone isn't quite there IMHO. Anri doesn't have the viewpoint in her dialog, so she's probably got a bit more thinking to do. Good news, I think our interaction is going well enough to make it possible. Yuki is giving us seriously good service, she's holding up professional discipline! Anri isn't backsliding due to bad handling.
As Anri is unsettled due to her change in circumstance, I don't want us to miss the open window. Right now is the time to get her to expect more "interference" from us, but using specifics and bargaining rather than raw authority. Forcing her is bad, but leading weakly won't cut it. I know that may be a fine line for some of us to walk and read - but it is a valid technique. It's what I'm calling us to use now. Love, definitely - lead, directly. This girl has very little to compare us to, and compromised logic:

Treating her as a powerful and wise individual isn't true, ATM. Respect as a person is good to show her, with the caveat that she is showing the world her "angry child" facet. Show her the one better choice, make it a choice, and I think she will improve. It just worked, and it will be fine a few more times.
Of course, the choices have to be thought of - what future do we intend? Make the intent clear to ourselves, or there is not intent. In this case, I'm asking our intent to be "work her towards a goal." In every case, that goal has to start out as "Yuuri." The part we should add to that is "caring about Anri helps Yuuri." Thus, start her on self-improvement activities. They won't complete right in front of us, but time is passing when we aren't there. IF we start anything useful.
The way to cook this all together is to offer her a definite form of acceptance, a place in the world to hold on to and rebuild from. We started that, and we should do the rest right now. Specifically, make her hear our offer as a literal, not as an implied - we want her to be "part of our SCIENCE" and "part of our culture." We take her hand. We show care for her. We already kept a promise. The befriending deal works by moving towards friendship, even if one of us has to be boss ATM. We may have to explain jail is going to continue, still overall we are presenting her with -
an ordinary world
for her to someday re-gain her friend Yuuri. At the price of it being a good and ordinary world for everyone else as well. She had morality before. As she puts her anger down, I think she can be that sort of person. I certainly want to find out.

If they aren't better off as runaways, we could be moving to preserve some better homecoming for either of them. The correct white lies, little accommodations, whatever. Whatever scenario we end up with, things will be much better off and controlled the more we know. I'd rather avoid finding out mid-battle that one of them has a deadman switch that detonates bombs in the middle of a city, or that a member is boosting their numbers with brainwashing magic.

You know, at this point more people we are a witch then not. Why do I say this? The straw poll has Gott ist Tott(Definitaly a witch) at 63%. That means only 37% of people don't think we are a witch. Pretty interesting change of opinion from earlier if you ask me.

Okay, I feel the need one possible problem here is that this vote cuts out basically everything that addresses the "wanting something else to do" interpretation of Anri's words and the portion of the Firn's suggestion that involves asking if she's after something specific.
Given that Anri is going to be stuck in a room for a week, bored and the way powerlessness can lead to issues like depression, I'm concerned that that oversight could cause problems.
