Amusing suggestions!
While we are about two IC days early(?) it's great good fun to consider how adding Madoka to the group merits new enumeration. OTOH, the idea of compartmentalizing, and titles, inclusion in committees, etc... this IS how so many "People's" governments slide downhill.
It is my honest terminal goal that in broad terms "Magical Girls will have no major secrets." It's much safer that way. We might have to seal a few Great Evils beyond the knowledge of mortal man, but system secrets and national conflicts are just no good. We can try to live without them. Secrets make the Incubator powerful.
To that extent, maybe I should mistrust some aspects of hierarchy and ranks.

On the one hand, it seems way more appealing and bold to think in terms of
"Those who dare their souls for their fellows, and can meet well our gaze, let them tie a White Ribbon."
We will need to organize when that many people are involved, but egalitarian spirit is a nice companion to our yearning for freedom for Magical Girls. Therefore, work has to be divided, but "titles" should be more for other folks, not us. Magical Girls have power. Playing with power - is unnecessary.

On the other hand, if we want to know how our organization really works, ask us after the war. Athens was the classic example, of a society that set it's self-awareness after being stressed in combat. The same would seem to be shaping up here in Mitakihara.
I fully stand by this, seperation into groups, comities, a hiarchies may be tempting, but it can't possibly be a good idea

I can agree with that.

Here's the page as it currently stands:

It does make sense to explicitly call out Mami as the group leader - for diplomatic purposes, if nothing else. It's her signature on our defense pact, for example. But other than that, the only real distinction needed is "combat member" vs. "non-combat member", so that's what I went with.

I also updated the main organization page (including adding new data about #milesgloriosus) and updated the calendar.

*Casts bind on the massive hug pile*

Does casting a magic bind count as a hug if it's your own magic?

Silence mere mortal, we are constructing a flesh zord
Inb4 Meteovirus M-34 vaccination...

Should we actually construct a group-effort treehouse at the Kaname residence, the "level of intentional inadvertent design failure" ought to be discussed. Homura is thinking of this one way, while we have a different take on what this space should be used for...
I'm promoting a code-compliant, far above expected difficulty and tastefully designed arch. Incorporating classic tensegrity principles with wood and steel rods, we should make a single-width bridge from the tree house, connecting to the wall of the home closest to the top of the stairs. There, we will add a landing, pierce the wall and add an exterior glass door, as well as a drip cap to match the existing wall finish. Only the best for our moms.

How do we make the Witchbomb a rational discussion, instead of a screaming match? Make a moral framework, and a reasonable quality of life available for thought before it comes up. "Living out a mission" is one such future from the related materials. Thanks, AuraTwilight. There are other "my life is more important than my death" ideas. For Mami, perhaps the "spend my existence defeating my worst self" goal is the best? Even if we have evidence of a treatment, a context has to be desirable.

Anri is one of our responsibilities shortly. We need to prototype the conversation we want her to have. We also need some fallbacks, because she is hard to predict. If we intend to either gain a result for our setting, and / or do something helpful, we must walk in there with a plan.
Will we make that plan now? Is there some other way to improve our insight or otherwise get a leg up?

I think that white ribbon should be a democracy. An authoritarian structure carries its own risks and incentives that I don't like for the group.

It is a de-facto democracy. When we look to create a formal institution, though, absolutely. We're going to be as vehemently democratic as MSY is over in TTS. It is fundamental to Sabrina's nature, after all. :V

I mean, as long as the group remains relatively small it'll be a de-facto democracy just by virtue of there not being enough people to become stratified.

Having a "designated leader" is useful for negotiations and signed agreements, and Mami is the best choice from that perspective (since she has the most historical legitimacy), but I don't think that she needs (or for that matter wants) any special privileges when it comes to group decision making.

As for wider spread... we've gone to significant lengths to avoid imposing our will on other groups, despite the strength of our bargaining position.

Sabrina really doesn't like the idea of being a dictator, and based on her behaviour is probably some sort of anarchist when it comes to her overall political views... which is only appropriate for the System Breaking Magical Girl. :V

... I thought MSY was an oligarchic hellhole of internecine matriarchal power politicking?
The Matriarchies hold a significant amount of power, but it is at worst a de-facto oligarchy (and that's if you're exaggerating for effect). MSY is an aggressively democratic institution, expressly something that Mami took pride in during her recollections o the lead-up to the Battle of New Athens.

I either am misremembering or it was after I stopped reading then.

Too many inexplicable acronyms for me. What in the where?

MSY is Mahou Shoujou Youkai, an organization made mostly out of and to support magical girls. It's found in the fic To The Stars (which is TTS), which asks an excellent question: what would a futuristic setting be like in Godoka's new world where Incubators want Magical Girls to survive, and where humanity is fighting aliens?

..... can we keep the plotting to the more near term?

I have enough issues tracking that... let alone long term future goals like making a global government.
