(briefly interjecting something not at all useful)

Yeah I suppose it's hard to keep a cool head when that happens.

I was thinking about one of the throwaway bits I wrote in the vote and realized that it extends further than I thought it did. Specifically:
, Yuki's magic being "friendly",
It goes way beyond Yuki. The veteran magical girls that aren't traumatized, hostile wrecks almost all seem to have Wishes that'd be protective or offset trauma somehow:
  • Mami's power means she'll always be willing to connect to someone new.
  • Kazumi's Wish would help her maintain normalcy.
  • Yuki's Wish is unknown, but probably something related to making friends.
  • Nadia's Wish is unknown, but probably something like "never be stopped by anything", and I could see her Wish classifying trauma as something that could stop her.
I don't know how much of that is causal, but it certainly seems suspicious.

Definitely something to follow up on, but I think @Firnagzen might kick my ass if I edited it in? :lol

Man the vote is too long already, let me update and then you can add things to the next one! :V
Sorry! I just... we want to do this right, especially with how many times we've gotten it wrong when trying to explain things to Homura.
Hah, yeah, the vote is already a bit big. If it's important enough to mention we can either follow up on it or let Sabrina pull it in herself; it is related to a line that's already in there. :p
Indeed.

Yeah, definitely not going to look to do this for anything less important than "Trying to resolve one of the longest-standing problems in the quest."

So, is it fair to say that you see, beyond selection bias, the Fingerprints of Goddess?
(It seems to imply that any girl that Wishes has a modicum of priming from Madoka's prior wish, urging her to make the fixable world? If we get a high class psychic connection to Hitomi or any other Potential, can we hear divine subliminal influence?)

Returning to my reread--
You hack, clearing bile and phlegm from the back of your throat, and spit it to the side.

You touch your Soul Gem with shaking fingers. Deep, bilious purple gathers under the shining, silvery surface, and you draw away a thick rope of Grief. It hangs in the air, roiling eddies of dark, nearly black purple speckled with vomit green and congealed blood red.
We know from Rebellion that unusual emotional connections can cause strange grief coloration. But we also know that this is uncommon to say the least. Point in fact, the only other time where grief has displayed nonstandard colors was during Rebellion. We know that it's not simply a spike of grief that does it, because Sabrina had those before. We know it's not a result of thread-strife, because it didn't happen with Rionna Mag Aoidh (*spits*).

The coloration also seems clearly evocative of when Sabrina first woke up in that alleyway, vomiting blood and bile.

Something about this seems significant, but I can't quite say how. Hrm.

Wasn't that post before rebellion came out tho?
